  • "Top steaks, sides, salads and to die for Butter Cake!"

  • "The entire experience from start to finish was outstanding and separates this restaurant from all others. They pay attention to every detail making the dining experience at a level that is definitely a step above the rest!!!"

  • "This was the first time we have been to the TO Mastros. The service was beyond amazing. The food was delicious all around. Great atmosphere! Music was very good and not to loud. All in all very impressed with everything. Happy with this choice for my sons 30th Birthday Dinner. PS I was a little concerned that our reservation was 100% an online reservation. I have only used OpenTable one other time. And the first time I called the restaurant to make sure the reservation was intact. This time I did not call to confirm. I was pleasantly surprised when I received a call from Mastros the morning of our reservation to confirm everything. Nice job OpenTable!! :)"

  • "The evening was perfect from beginning to end. We were put in a side room away from all the noise and music and we were able to talk without yelling. The staff was wonderful and very accommodating. The steak was done to perfection as was all of the side dishes. We shared everything and it was all portioned for us by the staff. It was my friends birthday and the dessert, which was a present from Mastro's, was incredible. Although very pricey, I would come to this restaurant again for a special occasion."

  • "This is my 2nd time at Mastro's, so far I have not been disappointed. The food is incredible, portions are very genereous and service was fantastic. There was a live band the evening I went, which was good and bad. The band was amazing but difficult to have a conversation with our friends. If the band is there and you wanted to talk with friends. I would recommend a table further away."

  • "Food good, drinks excellent at $18 each, service excellent. Save for a special occasion because it's over the top expensive. Very noisy in bar and sound traveled through most of restaurant."

  • "This restaurant is overrated. The food tended to be a bit too salty and the price was not justified. Next time we will go to Grill on The Alley."

  • "The waiter's were excellent and paid great attention to our table. The food was delicious with very nice presentation. We were celebrating two birthday's and they delivered us a complimentary delicious birthday dessert. Very nice touch!"

  • "The steaks were out of this world delicious! My mouth is still watering over them 2 days later! The service was spectacular, ambience was perfect - love, love, love this place!"

  • "From the extremely polite and attentive service by Jeff to the unusual sides and extensive off the menu offers, our experience was perfect. What seemed like a bottomless Martini (the shaker was left at the table and lasted through the meal with many pours) started a meal that consisted of a bone-in filet, a Wagyu New York and the crab gnocchi. The steaks were prepared exactly to our asking and were unbelievably tender and tasty. The gnocchi is a must order. Do not leave without trying it! Everything about the experience was great and we would definitely return."

  • "Had dinner for our anniversary and glad I chose Mastros. Ambiance was great, weightress was very knowledgable. Two thumbs up!!"

  • "Very high end meal, but worth it. I tried the Japanese Wagku 8 oz steak that melted in my mouth. Pricey at $98.00 but I really wanted to try it and it was worth it. Was very rich, so much I only ate 1/2 of it. Side dishes/appetizer: oysters Rockefeller were ok, but not exceptional; gnocchi with king crab, panko , cheese and truffles was tasty, but a bit heavy for me, especially with rich steak. Our waiter was super nice and provided excellent service. Only downside was tables are so close together in the back of restaurant that I felt everyone around us was listening in on our conversation. Also, once the entertainment in the bar gets going, it becomes quite loud and hard to talk over even though we were in back of restaurant."

  • "The Restaurant is really nice, great bar area, great drinks, great appetizers, but food is not always outstanding as you will expect. The service is really good."

  • "After dining at the original Chasen's (where Ronald Regan proposed to Nancy), Chasen's 2, which ultimately ended up being Mastro's Beverly Hills 10 years ago- I thought I'd check out their Thousand Oaks location. What a let down- the building is old, the dining room is like a coffee shop, valet changed seat in car. Plates COLD!!! WTF? Are you kidding me? Oysters were great, wife's seabass great, caesar fair... Corkage $35. Whoever owns or invested in this place has never been to Beverly Hills or South Coast Plaza- sad, but true..."

  • "Despite having to wait almost 30 minutes after our reservation time and the amount of people they were trying to serve, the food was absolutely amazing. Seeing the number of people I wondered if the quality of our food would be noticeable. It was absolutely the best steak I have ever had!!!!"

  • "Had the bone in ribeye, Gouda Mac and cheese, lobster mashed potatoes and sugar snap peas. Also, crab cakes, tuna tartar, and assorted desserts. It was a great dinner."

  • "We enjoy fine dining, and we enjoy good steaks, so we expected our 33rd anniversary dinner at Mastro's would be special. Well...we were disappointed. The steaks were very good but not amazing. The menu is a bit odd--all the starters were seafood based, except for a couple salads. And the sides were overly generous portions at crazy prices. Which brings me to prices. Honestly, I can't say the meal was worth it. $50 for a steak. $19 for a side. The same for a starter. And then served almost family style. Call me old fashioned, but I like nice presentation, especially for a premium meal! Next time we will go back to Saddle Peak Lodge for a special occasion."

  • "We celebrated our wedding anniversary with friends who were married on the same date. Our waiter, Wesley, was excellent. He was warm and friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu. All the food was exceptional from the stuffed mushrooms to the mashed potatoes with lobster. We were treated to the warm butter cake (one for each couple). We had eaten at the Ruth's Chris in Woodland Hills a few nights before and Mastro's was so much better in all respects except the filet mignon was actually better at Ruth's Chris. We'll return to Mastro's again for a special occasion."

  • "The food is, of course, outstanding - but what really stands out to me is the service. It is impeccable. The waiters are obviously highly trained and intelligent. I ate here a couple of months ago and had the same experience - 2 different waiters."

  • "Our steak was delicious, but had way too much salt on it, which was completely unnecessary with this high quality piece of meat. We used our napkins to scrape off the salt because it was so much."
    Dined on 6/14/2014
  • "The general attitude from the wait staff was a bit short and not very friendly. Ambiance was crowded, hot, and stuffy. Thankfully the steaks were very good. Good wine list, although ridiculously high priced. Oh, and the valet outside is fine, but a mandatory parking fee of $4 just seemed petty and unnecessary after dropping $500 on dinner. I won't be back."

  • "You have to try the warm butter cake, it's the best!"

  • "The service is fantastic The steak is delicious However the side dishes were just fair. The bake potatoe tasted the same as the one I make at home. So did the satire mushrooms. Maybe I'm being picky I was expecting a little bit more It is a great restaurant though"

  • "With three generations getting together for a nice evening out, we were pleased to be seated at a large round table in a semi-private area. Marco, our waiter, provided excellent service and made us all feel welcome. Each meal was prepared to specifications - steaks, seafood and delicious sides. We split the signature cake, which worked out well for the party of 7. We were there on a busy Saturday evening, yet we did not feel the hustle and bustle of the restaurant due to the great table location and fine service."

  • "My family went there for dinner last Friday. Their service and ambience are superb. The bone-in filet was excellent according to my two teenage children. I had rack of lamb which was also cooked perfectly and very tasty. Wife ordered scallops risotto and finished it all. The lobster mashed potato and sautéed mushroom were delicious. At the end, the butter and chocolate cakes they offered for my son's birthday and our anniversary were also a plus. Overall, it's a great place for special occasion."

  • "Quoted they were running 15minuts late. They ended sitting us in the bar an hour later. The server was great... Maybe the perfect storm graduation... I think they did there best just over booked the place..."

  • "Food as always was very good and the service could not be better. We enjoyed our Server Sarah she was pleasant, informative and remembered from another time. Thank you for making our anniversary dinner so very nice."

  • "of course the steak was good but great restaurants also serve great sides - the fries were really poor rendition of good steak how fries - over done, hard and much worse than any you would get from a drive through. spinach as soupy and without any taste to it - so maybe just an off night"

  • "Love Mastros..it is our go to place for amazing dinner but we feel that the service is slipping. We were seated on time but our waitress talked and talked and talked to customers/friends that she knew while we waited...not ok!!! There is an expectation when you dine here and that evening the service ruined the evening s enjoyment! !"

  • "Ryan our waiter was great with all of us, even brought me reading glasses since I forgot mine. The food was very good. We were glad to be sitting in a separate room for live entertainment since it was extremely loud, to the point where a conversation would be impossible. If you actually want to talk to the people you are going with request the seating area away from bar, if you are not really interested in talking to anyone at your table sit in bar area."

  • "We celebrated our anniversary at Mastro's hoping that everything would be outstanding. The drinks were excellent, the salad was excellent, the fish we selected for dinner was ONO, an Hawaiian fish, and it was not cooked properly. We could not finish the fish but did enjoy all of the additional vegetables, bread, and very nice dessert. There was a price adjustment in the bill due to our disappointment with the fish. The service was excellent. When we return, we will definitely not order a fish dish!"

  • "The steaks here are unbelievably good. Like some of the best I've ever had, and I've had some great steaks. We all split a 24oz Australian bone-in tomahawk cut Wagyu steak, and even though I suspect it may have been a Wagyu-Angus hybrid, it was still exquisitely marbled and perfectly cooked. This is head-and-shoulders better than any other similarly priced steak chain (read: Morton's, Ruth's, Fleming's, etc). Not only that, but the sides, often the pitfall of any steak restaurant, are delicious. Pair this with a strong bartender more interested in balance & subtlety than cloying sweetness or extreme alcohol content, and service that is not only polite and attentive but also engaging & knowledgeable, and you have an amazing dining experience"
