Our food was some of the best ever. The shrimp cocktail served with dry ice chilled cocktail sauce is a must! The entree portions are huge and could definitely be shared along with a side as everything is a la carte. What really stood out was our service. Our server Lionel was attentive without hovering and after learning that we were not on any time constraint, allowed us to go at our own pace. He really made our experience memorable. When he discovered we were on our belated honeymoon he took the liberty of having a special dessert made for us with Congratulations written in chocolate on the plate. I usually get the rib eye but opted to try something different this time and I'm glad I did. The mojito was well mixed and refreshing. Chocolate cake was moist and went with my coffee so perfectly! Everything about this place was fantastic. The service was great. We arrived earlier than our reservations and were seated promptly. As soon as we arrived, our waiter approached us and greeted us. He went over the menu and brought us complimentary bread and drinks. Checked on us several times and had some great recommendations. The service size was huge. I had the Cajun Alaskan Halibut - Yum! So fantastic! Others had steaks, too big but way too delicious. We were celebrating a birthday -- and we got huge complimentary dessert -- oh and the dessert came with like even bigger portion of whipped cream! lol We were too full for the dessert but appreciated the gesture. Everything we ordered was very DELICIOUS . . . Steaks, Halibut and Salmon were cooked amazingly and the Lobster Mashed Potatoes were FANTASTIC! We had the crab cakes, salmon, scalloped potatoes, and sugar snap peas- everything was delicious! The side items are big enough to feed probably 4 people. We went for our wedding anniversary and were given a delicious piece of chocolate cake for dessert. There was a live singer and piano player which made for great ambiance. The next day, Mastro's called to ask how our experience was. We will definitely be returning. The restaurant feel is setting is just ok being inside Crystals mall at City Center. Starring at people walking around a mall sometimes being loud/obnxious takes a little away from a high end meal. The Hawaii Big Eye Tuna was absolutely amazing, the King Crab Gnocchi were very good and filling and Warm Butter Cake is definitely a show stealer! The setting is great even tho it is in the Crystals Mall outside the Aria Hotel. The architecture is amazing and the food was AWESOME. We wanted everything on the menu but didn't want to overstuff so our waiter was kind enough to split the soup (Lobster Bisque-amazing) AND our entrees. We had the bone-in filet and the Chilean Seabass (best I've ever eaten). If you normally like your steak medium, I recommend you ask for it medium rare. Although I just mentioned it literally in one word during the online reservation, it seemed like most of the employees were well informed and we received excellent service.
The food was brilliant, steak cooked perfectly with a good wine selection.
Live music brought in the atmosphere but it was surprisingly comfortable to have a nice and quiet conversation.
