We had appetizer including King crab claws, giant shrimps and oysters from both east and west coast. Main course contains steak and lobster tail, the plates were large and very delicious. Not forgot to mention, we also had blended strawberry, lime, and chocolate martini as tasty drinks, the service was also very outstanding, the servant was knowledge about the food and recommending them to us well. There were abundant waiters, and they were incredibly attentive. We didn't have a fridge for leftovers, so we split a salad, filet, and sugar snap peas side...and we were full. The selection of four kinds of fresh breads was delicious, and the salad and the sugar snap peas could have fed 3 or 4, and were so tasty. The filet (bone in) was the best I've ever had....so tender and seasoned to perfection. It would be fun to go with a larger party too, as the mixed appetizer platters and other sides looked like they'd be great to sample. A pretty expensive dinner....but definitely worth it for a special occasion!6/11/2013 12:00:00 AMVery Pricey and Almost Worth ItMaestro's has excellent food and our service and attention were very appreciated. Since the restaurant is located in the Crystals shopping complex there is potential for guests to wander in not properly attired for the level of dining. While we enjoyed our meal, we didn't at all appreciate the family adjacent in their cut offs and tank tops when were were spending upwards of $300 on dinner. It appeared they were family or friends of the female singer as she hung out (standing!) at their table when not performing which was a bit distracting as we were out for a more romantic and elegant evening. There should be a dress code and it should be enforced, especially when serving $98 Wagyu sirloin! Most phones will send you to the wrong place. Maybe because it is in a mall the phone does not know what to do with the address. Just use Open Table to make reservations, and call for direction. Valet parking at the Belliagio or Aria will get you very close to Crystals at City Cter.
This was our first experience with Mastro's. It was a very good experience, the waiter explained everything to us and gave us amble time to digest all of the information. During that time we snacked on the best bread ever. I try not to make a habit of not eating too much bread before the meal, but that bread was so good. If any wait staff or assistant sees any table in need they stop and take care of you. Well done. The only reason they received less than outstanding in Service is because we asked for the leftovers to go, and some very expensive items were left out. The service was great, the attention given to us was just right (not ignored but not hovering either). The drinks were very generous and tasty. The special of the day was a humongous piece of soft, juicy and delicious steak (tomahawk). The sides were very delicious (steamed asparagus and creamed spinach) but honestly what we ordered could have been shared by 4 people. I am not a chocolate or a dessert type of person but I ordered their chocolate pudding cake. It was brought within 5 min with fresh cream and whipped topping. The shrimp cocktail served with dry ice chilled cocktail sauce is a must! The entree portions are huge and could definitely be shared along with a side as everything is a la carte. What really stood out was our service. Our server Lionel was attentive without hovering and after learning that we were not on any time constraint, allowed us to go at our own pace. He really made our experience memorable. When he discovered we were on our belated honeymoon he took the liberty of having a special dessert made for us with Congratulations written in chocolate on the plate. Everything about this place was fantastic. The service was great. We arrived earlier than our reservations and were seated promptly. As soon as we arrived, our waiter approached us and greeted us. He went over the menu and brought us complimentary bread and drinks. Checked on us several times and had some great recommendations. The service size was huge. I had the Cajun Alaskan Halibut - Yum! So fantastic! Others had steaks, too big but way too delicious. We were celebrating a birthday -- and we got huge complimentary dessert -- oh and the dessert came with like even bigger portion of whipped cream! lol We were too full for the dessert but appreciated the gesture.
