Sides are huge and big enough for 4 to 6 people each. The only problem is that the bar area is very crowded and there is no real place to wait for a table. The seating is cramped in the main dining room as well. The food is consistently great. The lobster bisque is the best we have ever had with huge pieces of tender claw meat. We were very impressed. Lobster mashed potatoes are equally as good and worth the price. We called ahead of time to ensure we had a seat in the main dining area vs. a banquette, and they ensured that request. We've been there a couple times before, and they are always on par with their level of elegance, service, and quality of food. We went there for my husband's birthday. The waiter was extremely professional and very attentive! There were seven of us, and we ordered several appetizers to start. The food was delicious except my Sea Bass done oreganato was too greasy. I took one bite and immediately the waiter was over and could tell I was not satisfied. He offered other options. The lobster mashed potatoes were delicious!

When I was finally seated (15 min late), service, etc. was great, but the room was very noisy--difficult to carry on a quiet conversation. I took my long time boyfriend out for his 26th birthday and could not have picked a more appropriate place. I made my reservation on Open Table and marked the option that this was for a birthday dinner. When we had finished our meal I was ready for the check and a waitor brought out a massive slice of chocolate cake and wished my man a happy birthday! Amazing! I ordered the Chilean Sea Bass and my boyfriend ordered the Pacific Swordfish! Both were amazing. I would recommend the garlic mashed potatoes and garganzolla macoroni and cheese as sides! Our waitor was also a wine expert so he chose and appropriate wine to properly match my boyfriends meal. Amazing place to go! We made a reservation and were seated immediately. Our server was outstanding in every way. The food was excellent, too! We were all pleasantly surprised that our food was hot when it arrived. Your food is normally warm it is is served; but our food was hot. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will definitely eat at Mastro's again. It was unfortunate that we were unable to manage dessert. We got there over 15 minutes early and were seated within 5 minutes. There was a full basket of different types of breads, way too many went to waist however we liked that there was different kinds and not just one kind. My husband got the grouper which he said was amazing and I got the petite filet which I also thought was amazing. We didn’t order any dessert and were brought a Warm Butter Cake and they even wrote Happy Birthday Ruben with Chocolate around the plate. The cake was delicious! We are definitely going to come here more often. The service was great and it was pretty busy for a Monday night dinner. We knew we had to come back for more butter cake! Wish we had a Mastro's in Seattle. The steaks are the stars of the show, but there are also a lot of very tempting seafood offerings. We had the mussels appetizer which was amazing. We also had oysters Rockefeller and raw. The oyster eaters at the table were in heaven. We went Kansas City on the steaks, a lovely bone-in New York Strip. These were just great pieces of meat cooked to absolute perfection. We also had the creamed spinach, the sauteed mushrooms, and a small order of giant onion rings. We then shut it down with the butter cake. Also the seafood platter was very tasty. We did have the butter cake which was so good. Our server, Shannon, really made the dining experience a pleasure.
