Join Chef Massimo for an artful blend of Italian and Mediterranean cuisines paired with an award winning wine list and full bar.
Appetizers range from Hudson Valley Grade-A Foie Gras, Pistachio coated Pan Seared Duck and Brie to Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes and rice flour battered calamari. A rich, creamy lobster bisque is a favorite among customers.
Other specialties include Veal Cognac in a creamy truffle sauce, veal chop, sweetbreads, risotto and Chilean Sea Bass.
Last, but not least, are the homemade delectable desserts.
Complementing his efforts in the kitchen is the gracious, knowledgeable and efficient staff.
Tables at the casually elegant restaurant are dressed with crisp table linens, and candles. Cascading fountains decorate the walls.

The wine list provided a great many reasonably-priced options. After lunch, Massimo spent some time with us at the table, during which we learned about his life journey from Italy to the U.S. This was a great dining experience."

  • "On previous trips we have had great experiences so we invited friends. Service was attentive. However, we received 2 pieces of bread with no offer of a refill. My husband and the other couple had a wonderful pinot noir. Two of us ordered the pork chops but they were unavailable. My friend ordered the veal, her husband the veal parm and said they were good. My husband and I ordered the chicken saltimbocca. The prosciutto was dry and curled up. Mine was so salty I could not eat it, gave it to my husband who agreed mine was salty but his was not. The chicken was unseasoned (it lacked prosciutto) was colorless and tasted steamed. Massimo, at the bar with friends, did not come over as usual. It will be a while before we return."

Creative menu superbly prepared and presented, staff is top-notch, extensive wine list has a wide range of varieties and price points, and then you have Massimo and his wife, Donna - he's a great chef and both are charming hosts. Get on their mailing list because they do wine dinners and special events throughout the year."

The quality of the food, the outstanding sauces, the impeccable service all add up to a most enjoyable experience. My personal favorite is the veal scallopine. The sauce is out of this world! And the accompaniment of tiny baby vegetables are a delightful treat. The quietly attentive staff lend an air of assurance that your gastric experience will be nothing short of wonderful. This is our favorite dining spot!"

  • "We went to Massimo's for Mother's Day. This was not our first time. Everything single dish was prepared to perfection. Four different meals and all wonderful. Desserts was incredible. You can tell the each plate was carefully prepared to taste great and it also was plated perfectly. It was food prepared with love. Massimo comes to visit each table, he is very caring. It was like he was our best friend. Our server Ashley was attentive, and very sweet.I would recommend Massimo's to everyone. I can't wait to go back, I will not wait long. "

  • "I read the reviews about the food and excellent service at Massimo's. My son wanted to take his prom date somewhere special in the Palm Harbor area, and Massimo's jumped out at me based on all the reviews. Since he is accustomed to good restaurants we take the family to he trusted others'dining experience and requested Mario for dinner service. WOW! The kids raved about the Chicken Saltimbucca and Lobster Ravioli. Also, they said the Tiramisu was awesome. Finally, they did say that Mario was very attentive and made the night even more special with his kindness. Now I have to makes sure to take the wife there next weekend to try Massimo's for ourselves!"

  • "A friend & I happened upon Massimos when another restaurant had a 90 minutes wait. We decided to see who had a reservation available on Open Table within 30 min. We were thrilled that we found it as soon as we walked in! We were greeted by Chef Massimo's lovely wife and she sat us at the perfect table. Our server was Mario and he was awesome! He was knowledgeable and friendly. We had the most delicious meal and wine that we had to try dessert! Everything was decadent! After our meal was finished, Chef Massimo came to our table, what a great pleasure & joy to be able to tell this Chef how happy we were! We will definitely be returning!"

The mushroom strudel was also tasty. We ordered the Duck and the Filet. both were nicely seasoned and cooked properly. We can find nothing to complain about!   • "Massimos is truly one of the best restaurants in the local area for foodies, special nights out or just a fabulous evening. We were surprised by a limited Valentines evening menu, but not at all disappointed. The choices were varied and creative and the ones we opted for, totally awesome in presentation and flavor. The Osso Buco was amazing, the charcuterrie traditional, with Prosciutto Parma, salame and capocollo, a variety of cheeses and a dab of pate'. Crab chowder was a delicious second, creamy and chunky. Dessert was a variation of a tiramisu made with cherry Grande Marnier, in lieu of the coffee flavor, and it was to die for. A wonderful Valentines evening dinner."

I had duck and my wife the wagyu steak special. Both meals were very well prepared and the service was outstanding. It is not inexpensive, but you get what you pay for."

The wine list is great though expensive especially with regards to American wines so consider bringing a bottle and paying a corking fee or spending $100 for a bottle of wine. Wines by the glass disappointing though food was fantastic-Chilean sea bass was delicious as were the veal dishes, appetizers and the desserts we had-no one from our party was disappointed and we'll definitely visit again!"

Massimo runs a fine kitchen - and don't miss the opportunity to speak with him when he comes out to the dining room - a very personable guy that you will enjoy meeting. The staff has been with him a long time and they are all polished, attentive professionals. We always leave saying, "we need to come back soon." Massimo has special-menu dinners for holidays and also paired with a wine theme or particular vintner - they are delightful affairs - Massimo gets to show off his talents - you meet new people at the banquet-style seating - the wine is always good - and they are a bargain."

  • "Finally, an excellent restaurant in our geography. For this holiday, Massimo's served a fixed price 5-course dinner. For appetizers, I had the Charcuterie with wild boar soprasetta, truffle salami, and more -- fun to try foodstuffs I would never buy on my own. Next, the duck and wild mushroom confit in puff pastry. Very nice flavor on the duck -- not fatty. A nice green salad for palate refreshment. Then the elk chop stuffed with hazelnuts and dried cherries in a Bourbon reduction. Excellent! Highlight of my meal. Very tender and mild flavored. I don't think this elk ran around much. My husband had the more traditional items and was happy. Dessert was ok, not super special. If you are a foodie, Massimo's is for you."

  • "Massimo's food is amazing and the service is impeccable. I've been there twice now & have reservations to go again. I had a ricotta cake as an appetizer. It was a little crunchy with a creamy center and came with chunks of perfectly cooked crab and delicious fried artichokes. I had the diver scallops, the best scallops I've ever eaten. There were four large scallops with four Buffalo Mozzarella ravioli and grilled asparagus. Not only is the food fantastic the portions are ample. Bertrand, our server, was attentive and judicious and at the same time personable and professional."
