The southwestern twist bumps a good menu up to a great one, and the preparation and service is well-executed. We sat near the open kitchen and actually interacted with Chef Jose! He was so professional during an incredibly busy evening and even found the time to joke with us. After dinner he sent over two desserts (which were so delicious!) and then stopped by to talk with us! It made our already excellent night even better! I have eaten lunch and dinner there repeatedly over the past five years and have never been disappointed. The service is always impeccable, the food is always inventive and excellent, and they portions are sized so that you walk away satisfied but not bloated. And all this in Woburn. She was personable, courteous, and charming. (she even commented on my eyeglasses). She took the time to answer some menu questions, offered recommendations, was quick to make sure that we liked all of our courses and was very pleasant to be around.

Please be careful when booking this restaurant chain on Open Table, it can be confusing which location you are actually booking. The Boston location was very accommodating. The food was very good. It came with a funky looking pear shaped pie that I think had potato with a meat filling. Overall the dish tasted good, but it didn't exceed my expectations, because the sauce could have been spicier and the meat less dry and more flavorful. My friends had the sea bass. It looked good, but they complained that the fish was kind of rubbery. As a desert I had the flan, which was not as good as flan I know from Mexico because it was too dense. My friends had the chocolate browny tamales - delicious! Wait service was very friendly but a bit slow (somewhat understaffed).
