Masa has a great, updated, tasty Mexican menu taken to a refined level. The food tastes the way you expect it to, with an updated flavor. It's not fatty of overly starchy. The meats and rices are flavorful and chips and salsa, tasty. Would recommend it to other people and would go again.

This was our first and only dining experience at Masa. The food was average at best. The margarita taste like it was from a bottled mix and the guacamole was a disappointment. Main dish was tasty though.

Went for dinner with a few friends for my bachelorette dinner and the celebration was not mentioned EVER! There were notes on the reservation, all three were in great moods but lost momentum after we were put in a section where the server seemed annoyed and rushed. Pretty much rushed our meal and left little to be desired. Food was ok but definitely not a place to go to for any life celebration..

after reading some of the other reviews, I was a little leary, but I have to say I was very impressed by both the food quality and the service in both the bar and restaurant. Granted, it was off season, so things are a bit more manageable. Our party was well taken care of and everyone enjoyed their entrees. Fish tacos were a table favorite as well as the slow cooked pork entree. Will definitely make Masa one of my go-to places when I am in North Naples!

We received very good attention and service. The food was good--not great. I had the tortilla soup which was good. My husband had the tamales and was disappointed. They didn't seem "fresh" to his liking. The staff tried to make it better. They were very attentive. For Mexican food, we would probably go somewhere else in the future. Masa is "upscale" Mexican food- for us the value wasn't there.

The staff here was incredibly friendly. It probably helped to be dining off-season - we got a table away from a lot of noise so we didn't have to should to be heard, we had solicitous attention from our bartender and the waiter. We let the Rafael (our waiter) make our dining choices and he didn't steer us wrong. Beef was tender, rice well seasoned and the corvina was spicy and rich without being overwhelming. Crepes for dessert were perfect - with salty-sweet caramel and candied pecans. Delicious, spiced foods, strong drinks and overall a great environment for a night out. I will definitely be going back.

Excellent lunch specials this summer! The BEST Tamales known to mankind! Pork Sandwich and tacos were excellent as well. Salad was very good fresh ingredients but would have liked a little more flavor in dressing. Would have tried fish tacos but a place with this kind of menu should NOT use fried fish!! Love this decor as well funky, modern and yet somehow still Southwest themed.

Masa is the eye candy of restaurants. Nestled in Mercato, in the most vibrant part of Mercato where the action is, it's sure to catch your eye with its sytlish decor, music and a vibrant scene that makes you want to go in. I went for an early dinner with kids and sat inside towards the back. The service is fine. The food is ok. I expected it to be amazing, but it wasn't. For a place that looks that amazing, the food should compliment it and taste delicious and authentic! They need to step it up and bring the flavor!

We love Mexican food but are always looking for new and exciting ways to enjoy the flavors. Masa took the cuisine to inventive new places from the second they set down the chips and salsa. Definitely not your run of the mill tex-mex/ Mexican joint! We loved everything from the fresh guacamole and salsa to the enchiladas and pork dish. Everything tasted phenomenal! If you like tequila definitely the spot to go! Immense tequila menu! Mixed drinks were great. I had the raspberry sangria and margarita 160. Both excellent and refreshing. My date had the diabolito and loved it! Unfortunately we did not have room for the dark chocolate caramel bread pudding but plan on visiting for drinks and desert very soon! Kyle guided us through the menu and gave great recommendations. He also was very attentive which is sometimes pretty rare in Naples. Would recommend to people looking for a creative Mexican experience.

Mexican style food with an up-beat twist. I ordered the Enchilada de Pollo. A tasty presentation for both eyes and stomach. My friends had fish tacos which were also enjoyable. Decent house wine and competitive pricing. Service was a bit rushed but that was due to the crowd celebrating the semi-finals of the 2014 FIFA World Cup--soccer fever. Love their "living wall!" Great place for a pre- or post-movie dinner or girls' night out. Definitely will patronize again.

I had wanted a special dinner for my birthday and remembered how great Masa was the first time we ate there. This time 1 year later we had the same waitress Amy -who remembered us and even where we sat! So that tells you how good the wait staff here is! The food as wonderful as ever and their special Marguaritas are a must! The hot Habanero one is outstanding. If their was anything bad about the meal-the fried Plantains could use some help! Thanks all for a great birthday!

Finally tried Masa for lunch. Weekday, off-season, and a rainy day. We arrived at 1:30, and the restaurant was pretty quiet. The two of us enjoyed the 2 entrees for $12. We each tried a different salad and entrée. Everything was delicious, the Blood Orange Margaritas were perfect, and our service was excellent. We will return on a weekend evening!

Dinner would have been perfect except that our waiter wasn't familiar with the menu. One of out guests asked several times if a dish was going to be spicy and he assured her it would not. (despite the fact that the sauce was made with habenaros) When the dish arrived it was very spicy and she returned it. When it reappeared they put the same sauce on the side. This made no sense since she couldn't eat the sauce at all. The dish without sauce was tasteless. It would have been better to have anything else.

Service was truly outstanding... server knew his menu inside and out, and was quick to recommend his favorites, which were "spot on!" Margarita's though small, were incredible. The Calamari, was like butter in your mouth! Two minor issues, the entree menu was a little sparse but what we had (hanger steak and pork shoulder) was excellent, and the noise level was a distraction. We should've opted to eat outside, as being seated in the middle of the interior with those high ceilings, it was too noisy to carry on a conversation.

Seems to me, Masa is designed for a fun experience with Mexican food that's in a different world than what you usually find, but not so aggressively different as to be off-putting. Our table of four shared a really nice, fresh, guacamole. Then my beloved had chicken tamales, I had a great pork shoulder with roasted pineapple and our two friends had hanger steak that was a lot more interesting than it sounded on the menu. Then desert -- the chocolate bread pudding with roasted banana ice creaminess delicious, the margarita sorbet was refreshing and the churros were the only no-hum note of the evening. As non-drinkers we really appreciated the refreshing alternative options (limeade with fresh ginger was delicious.) Service was good too.

My husband's a Californian so he knows good Mexican food. He joins me in saying that the menu at Masa delivers that and more. It's innovative, but the dishes don't rely merely on being new and different: They're delicious, and that elusive quality of managing the spices so it's about the flavor as well as the heat? Nailed it. I like spice, but I've had enough of places where it seems they're using it as a weapon. AT Masa, it's what it shouold be: an enhancement. And if you don't try the chocolate bread pudding for dessert, you are missing out. It's THAT good.

Although I rated it low we would give it one more try. We are making the assumption it was an off night. It was also a very slow night when we were there ( 8:00pm on a Monday). I think there were probably no more then 20 people in the whole restaurant. A place likes this needs more people & energy to create a a better atmosphere. One would expect the service to be excellent and prompt. It was not. Our waitress seemed pleasant but her interest in us seemed artificial and very staged. Not a pleasant interaction.
