Chef Richard Sandoval, who brought us his marriage of Latin-Asian flavors, Zengo has partnered with Chef Kazuhiro "Kaz" Okochi of Kaz Sushi Bistro to bring us Masa 14 - a new joint concept serving Latin and Asian small plates. ---- Now Masa 14 will be offering a Pre Fixe Menu at $32/pp every… Sunday from 5pm-Close, and Monday-Thursday 5pm-6:30pm. Price includes any three plates from our dinner or dessert menus plus one cocktail from: House White or Red Wine, Yuengling Draft, Strawberry Lemonade, or Margarita Tradicional. A non-alcoholic version of the Pre Fixe is also available for $28. ---- Come try our $35 unlimited Pre Fixe brunch on Saturdays and Sundays featuring bottomless brunch cocktails and unlimited small plates* Seating for Pre Fixe ends at 2pm. ---- *Pre Fixe specials are only available if all guests in party are purchasing the special. "Masa 14 is always a fantastic brunch option. It's all inclusive menu, featuring unlimited tapas, and creative twists on traditional brunch beverages is always a treat. Be sure to try the lemon lager, I've passed over that beverages numerous times, but at the staff's suggestion tried it on Saturday and loved it."

"I've only been to Masa14 for brunch, but I've always had fun, enjoyed the food and have never had a complaint about the service. The last time I was there, I had some kind of melon, goat cheese, flat bread that was seriously delicious."

"My boyfriend and I went to Masa 14 on a Friday evening at 6:30. The bar was full at that point for their $4 happy hour. We ordered the crunchy shrimp, barbecued salmon, and shrimp ceviche and all three plates were excellent. I also ordered a glass of the Ponga Sauvignon Blanc wine for $8 which I later picked up a bottle of it at Whole Foods for $9.99. Our waiter was rather eccentric but very friendly. By the time we left around 7:45 the place was completely full. Other reviewers and my roommate described the place as "loud" but I didn't find my experience to be loud. Cons 2 person tables are rather small for a restaurant that specializes in small plates. Happy hour prices are only available for bar and lounge seating."

"We had another very good pre-theatre dining experience at Masa 14, which tends to be a good deal quieter and less crowded on early Sunday evenings than it does at peak dining hours. In addition to old favorites, such as hand rolls, flatbreads, and okra, we tried a relatively new item on the menu, described as "kung fu chicken." The substitution of jicama for rice in what appears to be based on a kung pao chicken (or tofu) recipe was very successful -- the dish offered a good variety tastes and textures. A new opera cake dessert -- chocolatey, but not cloying -- was also successful."

"It's pretty loud. Although the food was pretty good (it varied by dish - the spinach and arugula salad was outstanding, the crab balls not so much), it was a little overpriced. For five little dishes and four beers (2 per), we paid ~$112, which seems high for the area and the quality of the food. Service, by Mike, was really good."
