The food is your typical Mexican American food. Nothing close to authentic. It's sort of like Acapulcos or El Torito. Nothing different. Although, I will admit the carne asada was pretty good. The noise level wasn't energetic, it was REALLY loud.

I have to say up front that I loved that they had a couple of vegan options on the menu - that's why we chose to go there - it was so loud that we practically couldn't talk to each other. Service was so-so.

I usually love Malo and Mas Malo so when a friend was visiting from Buenos Aires, I decided to take her there since she had never had Mexican food. She was definitely not impressed with the food. I ordered the beef tacos, potato tacos, carnitas, chewy chips with salsa and guacamole. The beef tacos were more greasy than usual, the potato tacos were fried so much that the potato filling had no flavor, they just tasted like oil, we couldn't taste any of the creamy, delicious, potato and cheese filling that I usually love so much. The carnitas was the best dish by far. I was a little disappointed overall!

My BFF was in town so I booked us a reservation for 8. We ended up having a couple surprise guests, but they were more than able to accommodate our party! Great food, great drinks, great atmosphere, couldn't ask for more.
