Marzano on ParkAlways a favoriteLast time we dined at Marzano on Park, the restaurant seating was limited. They have expanded the seating area, taking over part of the business next door. It is a very nice addition and the decor blends in with the original seating area. All the dishes we ordered were fabulous from the calzone to pizza to salmon. Our party expanded from 4 to 6 a few hours before our reservation and the restaurant accommodated us very easily. Highly recommend this quaint neighborhood eatery. Parking can be difficult but not impossible.6/9/2013 12:00:00 AMgreat service on busy friday nightI went with my boyfriend around 9 on a Friday night, and was seated next to a large party for a high school graduation. They were pretty loud but the waitstaff made sure we were okay with the noise level. I kind of liked the corner table we got so we opted to stay there. Our server was friendly, prompt, and professional. She also made helpful recommendations. Food arrived quickly, and tasted very good and very fresh. We brought a bottle of wine and shared a salad, a pizza, and a dessert and were very satisfied. I also love the decor of the rear dining area, reminds me a little of a medieval castle.6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMReally good thin crust pizza.Really good thin crust pizza. Inventive appetizers. Delicious pastas5/29/2013 12:00:00 AMSusan S. was our waiter. SheSusan S. was our waiter. She was very helpful in our questions of the different entrees. My friend had the portk chop and I had the salmon. We enjoyed the dishes that we both chose. If you order the pork chop bring your appetite with you. It is a large cut served with arugula.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMMarzano is fast becoming myMarzano is fast becoming my favorite Park Boulevard restaurant (and, as you know, there are now many to choose from). Currently I am enjoying the wonderful cocktail specials, and working my way through your entres! I'm a little upset that my favorite arugula/apple salad has been changed out but I very much appreciate that you do change your menu up. Gives us regulars something new to try. One word, Y-U-M!5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMWe always enjoy Marzano, whetherWe always enjoy Marzano, whether it's just the two of us, with our teen son or a larger group. The food is delicious, always reliable and it's a fun atmosphere with some of the most engaging wait and host staff.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMBusy Cheerful Good foodWe went for mother's Day- the night before, to avoid the rush. It was still packed.
Salads are pretty large, so pace yourself. Food quality was great, even with restaurant crowded.
We got the Chicken Arabiatta, enough for 2, It's great.
Pizza was very good: enough for one teenager plus tasting for other guests.
Mixed drinks were fun, cocktail with scotch and cardamom, very interesting
Dessert menu is a little weak, but we didn't try anything this time so hard to know if quality is as good as the mains.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways great...A great mix of kid / family friendly and romantic dining. Cocktails are an A+, pizza's with that yummy crisp crust and the service always attentive... we always enjoy ourselves here. It's loud, so if you are looking for a quiet place, this is not it... We love the fact that there really isn't a "kids" menu... kid's eat the "normal" food - granted it's usually pizza, but at least it is not mac and cheese and chicken tenders! We love this place and will definitely be back again... and again...5/8/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat againAnother fine meal. The chicken dish that was mentioned in the Chron was exceptional, the cocktails excellent and the octopus, as always, was very good.5/2/2013 12:00:00 AMI love the pizza- staff isI love the pizza- staff is excellent.
Dessert which was soft ice cream took 15 minutes to be delivered... not sure why.
Marzano needs to offer more enticing pasta dishes- more choices.4/25/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat pizza! The food was very good, and the waitress was very friendly. We enjoyed it.4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMgood food, even better service!good food, even better service!
Parking was difficult though, and it's not even the weekend.4/4/2013 12:00:00 AMWe love this place! The pizzaWe love this place! The pizza is great and we actually have not tried anything on this menu we didn't love. Went in for Easter brunch. We always request a seat at the bar (where you can watch much of the wood fired food being prepared). Aaron was our bar master for the day and we tried all but 2 of his speciality cocktails (one was wisky with HOUSE MADE COKE! To die). This is our new fav spot for date nite or day! We take that Bart and then a can from downtown Oakland and its 100% worth it!3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMNeighborhood favoriteThe extra dining space from their taking over the old adjacent Ace Hardware made this an even better dining experience. Great food and a fun place.3/8/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways great. Service is knowledgeaAlways great. Service is knowledgeable and friendly. A go to place for our family2/4/2013 12:00:00 AM
