A word from Marsilios Kitchen
Marsilio’s Kitchen is the latest creation of Alan Meinster. Meinster is best known for the personal dining experience he and his team of chefs provided at Marsilio’s Restaurant, est. in 1951, in Chambersburg, NJ from 1986 to 2007.

An eclectic Italian menu, balances traditional selections such as the popular chicken cacciatore dish, with steaks, chops, fresh seafood, and mouth watering pasta dishes, including Sunday Gravy.

The Kitchen’s ambiance transports diners to the rolling hills of the Tuscan countryside, and highlights a family style Farm Table for 14. The new full service bar offers an Italian "Tapas" menu and specialty cocktails. They also offer Theme Nights, a Private Dining Room for 100, Corporate Drop-off Catering, off premises catering, and a value menu for Curbside Take-Away.

Whether it’s a first date or a casual dinner with the whole family, there is something for everyone!

  • "Growing up in the 60s & 70s, my family would go for dinner to Marsilio's Kitchen in the Chambersburg section of Trenton. Chambersburg was a distinctly Italian neighborhood, with lots of great food. Marilio's was special however, as they had a unique recipe for Chicken Cacciatore. It wasn't a red sauce based dish like most restaurants serve, but a vinegar based recipe that was outstanding. Everyone ordered the Chicken Cacciatore at Marsilio's. I was excited to try the "new" Marsilio's in Ewing when I came in from Madison, WI (where I live now), with one dish in mind. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at the new, more upscale Marsilio's, but alas, the Chicken Cacciatore did not tatse like the same recipe I yearned for from my youth."

  • "Started off with a very nice tomato basil soup then followed by a seafood salad (one of the weekly specials). It was mostly calamari (previously frozen), some pieces of crab, lobster and shrimp over a spring mix. There was at least half an inch of water and oil that submerged most of the greens. I remember when I was here a year ago having a pork chop that was swimming in liquid and can't understand why they drown their food like this. I'll save my 4+ star ratings for Italian restaurants like Eno Terra, Mediterra, Diamonds, and Due Mare."

  • "This was at least our sixth visit to Marsilios. It is a terrific restauruant with outstanding food, great slection, interesting special and five star service. I had the veal chop and my wife had the lamp chops both nghtly specials. thye did not disappoint. Recommend this restaurant to those who enjy tradiation Itialian fooon wiht a very good twist."

  • "We went to Marsilio's Kitchen for our 12 year anniversary dinner. We were welcomed by a sidewalk lined with beautiful planters and a warm dining area. Our apps included the calamari and Tuscan bruschetta....both very good. Our entrees included blackened salmon and chicken breast over broccoli rabe. Both delicious! Didn't have room for dessert, but they looked just as delectable."

  • "I had the pleasure of meeting friends here after not eating at Marsilios for nearly 10 years. As always the food was better than outstanding. My only issue was the fact we had an 8pm open table reservation and did not get seated until almost nine. Could have been more accomodating after a long wait with a reservation. Still, I would recommend this place and cant wait to go back."

  • "Located in a small strip center, the outside is quite deceiving. When you enter, it is a beautiful restaurant and you do not feel at all that you are in a strip center. We were a party of six and were seated at the perfect size round table which made for easy conversation. Our waitress made appropriate recommendations regarding portion sizes for appetizers and I was very pleased to see that they offered an entire Gluten-Free menu as I recently removed Gluten and wheat from my diet. Overall, great experience!"

  • "We recently dined here with friends from England. The staff is consistently attentive from the hostess though to the supporting dining staff. Our server was most attentive and friendly while accommodating our requests. We were happy to see the "Gluten Free" menu and although there was not a specified "Gluten free" dessert our server helped us chose one from the menu. The food in this restaurant is consistently good and the owner is a presences in the dining room, an excellent feature. "

  • "Alan Meinster has done it again by taking a hometown favorite and replicating the tradition of excellence in a new neighborhood. Superb menu prepared like Nonna would make on Sunday afternoon when the family gathered after mass. Gnocchi were homemade and tender like "little puff pillows." Chef made me a special order of shrimp francaise that was to die for. Topped off the meal with full bodied cappuccino with a thick creamy froth. As good as dessert!"

  • "I was shocked, I guess it's true you should never judge a book by its cover. From the outside I thought we were going to a diner type location because the restaurant is attached to a row of stores and a gas station next door. But I have to say once I walked in the door I was very pleased with the look of the whole place the servers and service was as good as any top end restaurant that I've ever been to. It was very nice to have the owner sitting at the bar shaking everyone's hand as we walked out of the dining area and asking us how our meal was. "

  • "I took my family there to celebrate my Husbands 50th birthday. When I made the reservation I noted that. During the entire dinner no one said or did anything to make him feel special. We eat out alot and this place came highly recommended to us so we thought we would give it a try for his big day....I was very disappointed. all the high end and low end places we frequent would have recognized his big day. Also, we ate very little of our dinner and wanted to take the rest home. We asked the waiter for to-go bags and he looked at us as if we cursed him....not sure what that was about either. "

We didn't even realize he was explaining the specials until he was half-finished with the list because he didn't really greet us properly. At the end of the meal, one of the credit cards was declined and he was especially rude about an embarrassing situation. "

  • "We visited Marsilio's for dinner on a weeknight. We enjoyed the meatball appetizer, which is a huge meatball with cheese on a crusty slice of bread. Delicious, enough to share. My meal was on the cant decide menu and I chose Veal parm/ chicken cacciatore and broccoli rabe. Some of the best cacciatore and broccoli rabe I have ever had, the veal was tender and the sauce is awesome. My husband had the veal saltimbocca which was outstanding. Dessert was cheescake, tiramisu and a tartufo. All very enjoyable. I wanted to try the nutella mochachino but it was not available, I certainly didn't need anything else. The hostess, bartender and server were fantastic!! Will certainly return!!"

Dillon our waiter was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and answered all our questions. My husband and I had been here several times before and always enjoyed it.
