We had a great dinner at this unique little Westport restaurant. Service was very good. The ambiance has a wonderful genuine and funky vibe with a great playlist on the overhead and the food was delicious. We had the Cornish hen and the lamb tangine. Save room for the baklava. Bring your own wine if you wish and enjoy. We look forward to returning.

Great addition to the Westport neighborhood. Restaurant is is warm and inviting. Liked the Middle-Eastern Music including the blend of old and new. Servicer was pleasant, knew the menu and capably explained the dishes. Food was very good. The lamb shank is not to be missed and the daily special was also very good. Glad I was able to bring my own wine since it is not otherwise served. I liked that you could hear the talble's conversations since I was with friends.

The night we were there there was a large table full of babies - so the noise level was higher than usual, but I was happy to see this restaurant have the business. The food - lamb shank & beef targene - ware not quite as good as uaual, but still better than most restaurants.

wonderful food; great service. The mint tea was surprisingly delightful and is a must try! Flavors just right. Highly recommend the appetizer sampler: carrots and eggplant our favorites! Game hen and saffron rice were perfection. Great experience. This is a gem. If you haven't gone you must go!

The food here is always excellently prepared, excellently presented, and truly delightful to the palate. I've now tried nearly everything on the menu, at least one thing from every category. That makes it even more difficult to decide what to order. Nothing has been less than delicious. Another real treat is having the option of bringing my own wine from home, since they don't have alcohol available. I will keep on returning and telling everyone I know about this wonderful place so it will remain in Kansas City. And for those on a budget, this is a place that's very gentle to the pocketbook.

Great service and a nice introduction to Moroccan cuisine. It was quiet at the time we were there. but steadily busy. The menu had many choices, all that sounded great. Out of our 5 entrees, we liked them all. the assorted plate of appetizers was excellent, especially the eggplant. We ordered 2 of the tajine entrees, which may have delayed our dinner a bit, and without us even noticing that there was a delay, the waiter brought us some additional appetizers, to tie us over, til dinner was served. We definitely recommend this restaurant.

Marrakech Cafe serves authentic Moroccan food at reasonable prices. We can't figure out why more people haven't discovered this restaurant; maybe it's Westport parking. They tell us they do a lot of carryout. The entrees, whether beef, chicken, lamb or fish, are interestingly spiced, but not overly so, and the portion sizes are generous. We've never had room for desert. The tagines are our favorites. Try the Moroccan tea, hot or cold - it's refreshingly minty. Bring your own wine.

It's rare to find a Moroccan restaurant, and I was definitely surprised to find one in Kansas City. I would recommend the eggplant appetizer for sure; the Moroccan tea is super as well. Both entrees were very well prepared. This is a place that deserves more recognition than it's getting from the Westport locals.

Marrakech is a terrific small restaurant where the food is prepared at the restaurant, not mircrowaved & pre-prepared like some. The Moroccan spices & dishes are flavorful, hearty & ample...just plain delicious. The lamb shank just fell off the bone & the tangines are Moroccan tasty. The service is friendly & there when you want it. The prices are very reasonable especially given the serving sizes. Just a pleasant place to have dinner or lunch.

Food was okay, but the flavors could have been more intense. The chicken itself in the Marrakech Couscous needed either more marinating or more spices (not hot spices, just flavor). The couscous was bland. The eggplant appetizer was good. The soup was also bland. Very helpful, conscientious service.

I love finding food that I can't cook for myself at home. The flavors that combine to make such a delicious dish require time, patience and skillful blending. We began with the assortment of appetizers and each ordered a couscous entree. Delicious doesn't quite describe the taste, it was delightful! I hope more people will give this gem a try. It would be a shame if Kansas City were to lose a cuisine this unique.
