A word from Maroli Indian Kerala Cuisine - Brampton
Maroli, which recently won the distinction of being the Best Indian Restaurant in Toronto (according to Dine T.O.) is the only restaurant in the city which serves Kerala / Malabari cuisine. Malabar is a magical land of waving palms, pristine beaches and stunning backwaters located on the south-western coast of India. It is also home to some of the finest food to be had in the country. Influenced by all those who traded with or settled in the region - among them the Dutch, the British, the French, the Portuguese, and the Arabs - Malabari food is complex, distinctive and flavorful and unlike any other kind of cuisine to be found in India. With continued requests from customers from Missisuagu / Peel region we have opened the 2nd location.

Creative and interesting Indian food. Zero atmosphere. No liquor license. Go for the food, but not for the experience.

Good food overall but not sure if it was authentic Indian food. As it lacked the spices Indian food typically is known to have. The restaurant was quite the evening we had dined there, actually we were the only couple there that evening. Still no liquior licence.

New Restaurant. The one wait staff in the restaurant tried very hard to cope with the 4-5 tables that were being served. Food was average. Not enough Kerala dishes..,as advertised. We went their for some authentic Kerala food and were disappointed.

Maroli was very disappointing. The server was disinterested. They had CBC news on TV while we ate. The food was good but certainly not inexpensive. No liquor license yet, we weren't asked if we wanted anything other than water but when we asked for beer we were told. We won't be going back.
