Went on a friday night ahead of the midtown music festival. Top moments: tuna tar tar and pea soup with Parmesan foam. Unreal. The ginger margarita was special. Service very good. Crowd was mixed but made for people watching. Pretty empty at 6:00 and didn't really get much more crowded. I think because it is in the lobby, people think they can wear shorts and be all too casual in the place. They should do something about that but understand space is an issue. We ended up staying there for 5 hours so that says something...

Excellent food and great time, even with 3 kids. Especially our youngest (6) was treated very well and enjoyed his food a lot. Ambiance is not great and very bland decor now that they're refurbishing. Feels like your sitting in a breakfast bar rather than an hip restaurant.

The food and service were outstanding. It was quiet for a Saturday night, but we enjoyed being able to relax and talk over the delicious food. The watermelon salad was light and refreshing, while the scallops were cooked perfectly and melted in my mouth. I made a reservation, but it appeared I didn't need to that evening. Definitely check this place out next time you're in the area.

David Gross, Chef did a super job. Shrimp appetizer was excellent, Bread was fabulous. The Diver scallops were delicious as was the pizza. Very quiet. Not many customers for a Sat eve which was surprising. I think that people just do not relish going to a restaurant that is in a hotel. Word needs to get out about the place. The Chef gave us our chocolate moulton cake dessert which was excellent. Eric our waiter was very efficient.

Great place to dine on a Saturday afternoon to relax and people watch. The chicken sandwich was delightful and the lamp chops prepared just right. I was in Atlanta for business, but happened to have a few friends passing through town while there. I chose Market because of it's proximity to where everyone was staying. We had a party of six and had no problem getting seated quickly. As we are all good friends who enjoy good food, everyone ordered whatever spoke to them, but shared with everyone else. Everything we ordered was presented beautifully and tasted amazing. Even the drinks were fantastic! I absolutely recommend taking the time for a meal here.

It was "just okay". I should have done more research before going to the restaurant, so this review is as much my fault as the restaurants fault. I was expecting a romantic 'getaway evening' but the restaurant is in the W hotel, which changed the whole dynamic of the evening. The service was fine, and some of the food items were actually very good, but the overall atmosphere/ambience of the visit was just "eh". Most other people in the restaurant were business-people (hotel guests) discussing their meetings and PowerPoint decks. So, if I had been in that frame of mind, maybe I would have enjoyed it more, but I was hoping to be surrounded by anything EXCEPT PowerPoint decks, laptops and business discussions. Oh well.

My Wife and I celebrated our one year anniversary at this restaurant. When I made the reservation, I let that be known and they treated us with magnificent service. The waitress was wonderful (thanks Jodi Ann), the managers came to chat with us, and they treated the love birds to champagne with strawberries. My wife told me that it will be pretty hard to top this one next year, I officially out done myself. Thanks Market, we'll see you again.

service was attentive and good. The food, however, was quite disappointing. If the truffle put in the truffle pizza was real, it would cost several folds what it did. I expected a light shaving of truffles and truffle oil. You receive a pizza loaded with ground truffle-like filling. I don't even think it had chinese truffles chinese truffles. Bland tasting at best. the burger was not worth a burger I would get at a pub. the patty was obviously a frozen one, one piece of lettuce, a tomato, onion and a smear of "truffle Mayo" of the same quality as the pizza. it was undercooked. The fries are the same quality of frozen fries from the grocery store. I expected a little more out of a $16 burger.

Horrible noise level from group above. Depleted of people. we were the only table except for a loud group of 28 women upstairs. The food took forever to arrive, without the sauce which the waitress said they forgot to warm in the kitchen - what were they doing with no one else to serve. The bill was outrageous and the whole experience was regrettable. What happened to steer people away from this once lovely place to dine and hotspot bar in Buckhead???? The best thing you can do for diners is advise them to go somewhere else!

Food was not notable. My husband had the lamb chops and only got two tiny chops. The organic chicken says it's served with mushrooms and asparagus. Make that about 3 mushrooms and a couple tiny sprigs of asparagus. We ordered the asparagus risotto and calamari. Neither were particularly memorable. Definitely had better. While it was a Monday night, the restaurant was empty at 7:00 p.m. We were seated at a table where one side was being blasted by the setting sun. My husband ordered coffee after dinner which was never brought.

The menu is an impressive mix of flavors. Our server recommended several items and he was spot on. We started with the calamari, then had the spring pea soup and steamed shrimp salad. Dined on 4/4/2012
The Market drew my attention through an online search. I was looking for an impressive spot to have a 'get to know you' lunch without too much innuendo of a date. The ambience was upscale and delightful with just a hint of romance to set the mood. The food was impeccably prepared as ordered and the prices were definitely reasonable. I do recommend making reservations, and for lunch the 11:00-12:00PM time is perfect because it was not over crowded. The only drawback was when we arrived it was not clearly apparent where the valet attendants were located. All things considered I would certainly recommend this location as an excellent date spot and/or upscale lunch, brunch, dinner destination. Enjoy!

We came for Buckhead Restaurant Week and did the prix fix menu. While the selection was good and the servers were attentive, we were not wowed by the food. Overall everything was edible, but the citrus sauce on my salmon was far too sweet and nearly ruined the dish and everything in it, very overwhelming. My husband enjoyed his chicken but it was nothing remarkable. The dessert was decent, nothing to write home about and the chocolate crisp garnish was burnt. The poached pear was tasty, and we liked our wine pairings. In our opinion the meal wasn't worth the money, even with the special menu. It is not likely that we will return to Market.

I love the ambiance of the restaurant, but was very disappointed with the food and the wait staff. My daughter and I ordered breakfast, she ordered scrabble eggs with cheese, which came out perfect, I ordered eggs over easy, which was not perfect at all. The 1st time the eggs came out, they were almost burnt on the tops, of which I sent them back for a redo, the 2nd time the eggs came out, one of the yolks broke, which overcooked it, therefore, I sent it back for another redo. The 3rd time, the eggs came out, again, they were cooked a little hard on the top, of which I told them I am no longer interested in eating now and to remove it from my bill. Note, according to the wait staff, the Chef supposedly cooked my eggs himself.

The suggested starter of tuna tartar with avocado and ginger was outstanding and worth a return visit for it alone. The other dishes were also delicious.
