Market BistroGreat foodMarket Bistro is a great find in Jericho. Like it's sister West End Cafe in Carle Place, this place is in a shopping center and is about the same size. We enjoyed one of their beer flights that had mostly local beers. We were there in time for the prix fixe which had a varied choice. Loved the shrimp with pappardelle and the duck breast. Service was great and we were seated quickly.
Desserts were to die for, not too big but every bite a delight. Market Bistro is hiding in plain sight in a shopping center but once you enter, you are in for a surprise. The atmosphere is low lit but somehow also energetic. It feels like a comfortable neighborhood hangout but it is more than that . Boring. It is great to have a new addition to the LI food scene that has a vibrant menu with many options, small plates included. Food is very good. The bar was quiet on a Th night. We brought our kids (tweens); the only kids in the restaurant on a Th night. The service was fine, but the waitress was clearly less attentive to our table than those with adults. In addition to the regular menu, they also had a $30 price fixed menu. It included Soup, salad or appetizer an entree and desert. A very good buy for the money. The restaurant wasn't quiet, but we could easily converse and be heard. The waitress was helpful and checked back the appropriate amount of times. I'm glad she did. It was my first time and such a wonderful experience. I appreciate good service as much as good food. Everything was perfect & we now have a great memory for a special occasion. I will be back with other new customers. The perfect blend of rib eye, brisket, and short rib nestled between a moist brioche bun. Slather with garlic aioli and shallot marmalade. Food was spot on and delicious. Only disappointment wad the LI duck breast was only one side of the breast and felt was over priced for the amount of meat and when u told the waiter his reply was "that's how we do it". Everything from the snack to the dessert was delicious. I also love the fact that they do not have salt and pepper on the table, which is a sign of a good restaurant. Your food should be served perfectly seasoned. You are there to enjoy your evening, and the less you have to do, the better. Our waiter was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Try the bison sliders...dee-lish! I also love that they make all of their desserts on the premises. I will be a frequent guest at Market Bistro and have already told several people about it.
