I put in my reservation that it was my husbands 40th bday, and that I needed a highchair. I figured I'd never get a great table with a highchair request, but wow! The table was the best table in the house. Perfectly situated under a pergola with a beautiful view. They never treated us 2nd class because our (very well behaved ) 2 year old was with us. They didn't know he would be well behaved and often, you can get prejudged by a waiter when you bring a child with you. They assume you will be cheap or high maintenance. I know this because I managed restaurants for 15 years. Our server was a professional, honored special requests and was friendly and timely. The ribeye with Mangrove honey was divine. Key Lime baked alaska very good.

My wife and I were pleasantly surprised by Marker 88. The location is probably the best on Islamorada. The service was outstanding, tentative and on the ball. The food was fantastic. We had the local ship cocktail (probably the best shrimp cocktail we have ever had - nice firm fresh shrimp), we also had the Stone Crabs (which you can never go wrong with) and they were reasonably priced at 3 for $28. My wife had the Yellow Snapper which was tender, light, flaky with absolutely no fishy taste what so ever. I had the lobster tail which was cooked perfect. I would highly recommend Marker 88 to anyone. Lively bar scene with live music as well

Food was good but was not hot as it should be. Service was mediocre. Our waitress seemed preoccupied and was not attentive. The view is fantastic IF you are seated in a good section. We were initially seated in an area UNDER TREES where we could see nothing of the view we had come from Chicago to see. We were going to leave when our young blond hostess changed our table. You come to this restaurant for the view at sunset.

Great restaurant for vegetarians (have separate vegetarian and gluten-free menus) and you can't get any closer to the beach (tables directly on the sand!). Live entertainment is great. Service was average: not outstanding, but not poor. The food was good and there is a full bar with a lot of tropical selections also. The authentic Key Lime Pie is a must-have (it's made in-house)!

Nice place for a special dinner. You eat outside on the water and it is unpretention but NOT a blue jeans and loud music place. It is a relaxed upscale place. We had attentive service but not rushed, and we thought the food was very good.

The view of the bay created a great setting for a nice romantic dinner. The food matched the view as we had two of the fish specials of the night. The key lime baked Alaska was a wonderful finish.
