A word from Maritime Parc
A restaurant that captures the spirit of the sea: an outdoor stone patio where food, drink, a year-round indoor dining room where accessible yet sophisticated cuisine is served by a crisp, attentive staff, which revitalizes the tradition of the great seaside restaurants of yesteryear for the modern diner, adding a signature spectacle: expansive views of the Hudson River and lower Manhattan that frame the scene.Continued

  • "This is a jersey city gem. Can't believe it took so long for my husband and i to try this place. Everything from the fresh seafood, to the flavor profiles, wine and cocktails, dessert and service....everything was dynamite. Can't speak more highly of this place. We will be back to try thurs burger & oysters and brunch out on the patio when it gets warmer. Great location and views too."

  • "We didn't feel like the menu was balanced enough - while it was understood that seafood was the focus, the very liberal use of pork products with the seafood ruined a number of dishes for us. The food was good - but nothing that knocked our socks off ---especially relevant to how much the bill came to at the end of the night. The service again was good but not great --- our server seemed to forget about us after placing our order, or after one of our courses was served. Not as knowledgable about the menu as we expected. Overall, glad we tried it but have many other places to try."

  • "Brought a group of 4 for brunch. Pretty window table overlooking the Liberty State Park basin and boats. Attentive servers who brought out delicious dishes. Definitely will be back."

  • "I booked a reservation through Open Table. I mentioned on the reservation that it was my Husband's birthday and I requested a candle be put in his dessert. After arriving at the restaurant, I made a point of talking to the ladies at the podium regarding the candle in the dessert. They confirmed that they saw it in my request on the reservation. It was a very pleasant evening celebrating with my Husband, and guests. They gave us the perfect table with a beautiful view and the food was fabulous. We ordered dessert and here came our fudge cake with no candle - no singing - no nothing!! So can I give them a perfect score after mentioning twice I would like a candle- no!! They just missed the boat with the candle and kind of ruined the mood!"

  • "The food was absolutely delicious. They have a large variety of mixed drinks, which were perfectly done. Service was also top notch."

  • "Valentine's day visit, last minute reservation just before closing...We were the last table of the nite, everyone tired and ready to go home. Prix fixe Vday menu was very good to look at, and some items weren't available. Rating as follows... Taste was an 8 out of 10, sauces on 2 of the dishes tasted too similar even though they shouldn't based on the ingredients. Service was an 8.5 out of 10 considering how late we were and how accommodating they were. Ambience 9.5 out of 10, beautiful with the harbor view and mood lighting. Drinks, 8 out of 10 (good beer, wine, and cocktail selection) Duck Fat Fries were a standout. I need to go back on a non-prix fixe night to try other items."

  • "I highly recommend the Pan seared mussels and the Octopus for Appetizers!! Both were absolutely delicious! The mussels were enough for 4 people. We had an amazing server who was very pleasant and friendly. We took the PB&J dessert to go, and it was absolutely amazing for anyone who likes peanut butter! Overall, this was an excellent restaurant, quite reasonably priced for the quality of food and service. I would absolutely recommend Maritime Parc to anyone!"

  • "Ordinarily it is rare to have ambiance, view, and great food - one may find one, maybe two ... but usually have to sacrifice at least one of the elements. Maritime Parc has all three. The environment is comfortable, cozy, and quiet. The food is superb ... the portions are generous ... the service is attentive ... and the NYC skyline is the icing on the cake. It is definitely a destination to which one must return. We look forward to spring and summer when dining on the Terrace and observing the traffic on the River is sure to be the quintessential dining experience."

  • "This is a go-to. Great food, great service, beautiful water views. And it's a nice departure from the downtown restaurant scene when you need a change."

  • "Seemed to skimp on pricier ingredients and constantly tried to upwell on an already pricey meal. Almost seems like they are trying too hard. Good, but not great food. And for a restaurant in that price range, you do not expect a restaurant to skimp on the premium ingredients. For reservations for an expensive meal, you would not expect to receive two phone calls to try to sell additional goods and services. Not inclined to go back."

  • "The restaurant is smaller than we expected, and it was lovely to sit by the view of NYC in a warm, cozy spot. We never felt crowded and the noise level was excellent. The wine was exactly what we wanted--gamay and cabernet sav. The food was quite good, with a few comments. My boyfriend's scallops were definitely overcooked. Your folk should be able to glide through a scallop without pressure. On the other hand, the short ribs were cooked to perfection, and my arugula salad and steamed mussels were just to my liking. All in all, a good evening. The complimentary red velvet cookies that came after we received our bill were absolutely delicious. A very nice touch. We will certainly be back!"

  • "If you live around the Hudson County area and if you're looking for a romantic date night dining, then this is the right restauratn for it. Instead of going to the city for a decent fine dining, i would recommend it here. Food is great with a decent price, has a Michelin level ambiance, and the service is great. I Highly recommend this restaurant for a romantic dinner!r"

  • "We had a fantastic pre-fixe dinner for restaurant week. The chef combines ingredients in a way the highlight truly unique flavors in the food. We had fun trying to guess the ingredients in each dish."

  • "Everyone in our group loved their meal. But we went to this restaurant for the view of Manhattan, and we could barely see Manhattan from inside the restaurant. Suggest that you go in warm weather so you can sit outside."

  • "This restaurant was a very random find and after being stranded in a Newark hotel for a couple of days this was a wonderful getaway! The menu is just long enough to make you ponder your dinner choice for a while, everything sounds so good. And it was! They bring bread, butter, sea salt and a cheese/vinegar-y/onion dip/mixture to the table to start. We started with the Corn and Kale Spring Rolls and the Sake and Soy Braised Pork Belly “Kung Bao” Style, both delicious!! Then for main courses we ordered the Local Sea Scallops w/ Braised Short Ribs & the Niman Ranch Filet Mignon. OH MY GOSH were they good!! I wish I'd had room for dessert because everything at this restaurant was phenomenal! Our waiter was great too, very patient! Great place!!"

  • "Had a wonderful dinner here the other night. Wasn't sure if we should believe the reviews but it lived up to all of them. When we drove into the parking lot, it appeared that everyone was eating at Liberty House and my first thought was that we had picked the wrong restaurant. But rest assured, Maritime Parc is where you want to eat! Everything about our evening was perfection. The food, portion sizes, service, ambiance and wine were outstanding. We will definitely come back. We have eaten at a number of the restaurants on New Jersey Monthly's 2013 top 25 list, and this is the best one yet. Well Done!"

  • "The restaurant itself is beautiful, the view of downtown Manhattan is great, and the food is delicious. The only complaint I had was the table. We sat at a in an area where there were four tables that were so close to each other that one would need to be pulled out to sit into the banquette side. Luckily the couple next to us was very nice. It was a little too close to comfort otherwise."

  • "This was our 2nd visit -- the food was spectacular -- the service was attentive -- expensive but worth it! We would like to visit again when we can eat outdoors -- and we will be going back!"

  • "We went to this place for our anniversary. The restaurant was very kind to acknowledge so by serving my husband and me glasses of champagne at the start of our dinner. The food was amazing! Loved the oysters braised in bacon cream and leeks. The duck was great, although a little underdone for my taste. The burger my husband had was perfect. Also the duck fat fries, crispy string beans and mashed potatoes were also excellent. Only have 1 suggestion which is to have more smaller tables by the window. I had requested this for our anniversary, but it was not granted and the table we were at was uncomfortable (sat on an angled bench). Other than that, this place is a gem and not to be missed"

  • "Amazing food that was very pleasing to the palate. There were four in our party, everyone had something different and they each enjoyed their meals. Great cocktails! The service was SLOW considering the restaurant was not crowded at all.i would give the experience 4 stars because the palate pleasing food & drinks, they lost a star for service."

  • "8:30 reservation. Got there 5 mins late & was told the table wasn't ready. Waited at the bar, which was severely understaffed. By understaffed I mean there was 1 bartender on a busy Saturday night. We weren't the only ones waiting, so he had several people at the bar, and a full restaurant. The drink service was very slow at bar and at table. "Our" table was a window table. After waiting 20 minutes, we were told we can wait longer, or eat in the bar area. It was already 9:00, surely these people would leave soon. After another 20 minutes, they were STILL at the table talking so we got different table. They said they have a policy against asking folks to leave. That's ridiculous. Waiter outfits way dorky. Really sad as the food was great."

  • "Entering the restaurant promised a delectable culinary evening with it's chic design and decoration plus spectacular views of lower Manhattan and Jersey City. Cocktails at the stylish bar were excellent. Grilled oysters were great and the mussels were outstanding though a bit salty. Fresh veggie salad was a flavorless mock Caesar salad but the octopus w/smoked pork grew on me. The favorite entree was the salmon w/ black rice, perfectly cooked and full of flavor. However, the seafood pasta and lamb pasta were disappointments.....virtually no flavor profiles at all and very salty. Same with the scallop/short rib entree. It seemed the chef hadn't tasted his food before sending it out. All the dishes were way over salted...and I do love salt."

  • "Food was good yet heavy with sodium. Service was horrible. If they had their act together they could have up sold more drinks and other items on the menu. Average age of the server staff was early 20's so it appeared most were students. We found them standing around chatting with each rather than serving the customers."

  • "We had a wonderful evening, the six course chef's tasting with the wine pairing was amazing. Each course tasted better than the other and the wine pairing complemented each meal. The cauliflower soup with foie gras and the seafood pasta were out of this world. The dining room manager was very pleasant and accommodating, in every way. The staff was knowledgeable and extremely professional. To top it all the restaurant is beautiful and has a gorgeous view of Manhattan."

  • "Maritime Parc continues to be one of our favorite special occasion restaurants. The view alone is enough to get you there but the food is worthy of the view. The menu is relatively short but there are so many choices. They were also willing to change things to accommodate our needs. Service is most professional. The restaurant is beautifully decorated too.. We missed the former pastry chef, although the current desserts were great too, her desserts were really special."

  • "My family and I tried Maritime Parc for our first time to celebrate the special occasion of my parents' 30th wedding anniversary. We had heard about MP being written up in NJ Monthly as one of the best restaurants in NJ, but you never know if a restaurant will live up to the hype. Anyway, the staff and manager were incredibly accomodating in providing us with an excellent table with a beautiful view overlooking NYC. Once we sat down, every appetizer, entree and side dish (I sampled them all) were creatively presented, well portioned and uniquely delicious. The server and pace of the meal were also commensurate with the rest of the dining experience. I am looking to go back to MP, particularly in the summer when we can dine outside!"
