  • Private Party Facilities: The California conference centers at The Cliffs Resort are fully equipped to accommodate any group, from five to 500 guests. Our meeting space is as flexible as it is elegant, with accommodations for classroom and theatre-style seating. And in case an oceanview conference room isn't quite close enough to the beach, a 6,750-square-foot poolside terrace serves as the ideal location for afternoon meetings.

You will not regret coming here. all the staff wanted to please and was very attentive. But never in a annoying way.. will be back again on my next trip to the beautiful central coast."

  • "They had an excellent selection of food and the champagne serving was very generous. We got there around 12:40 P.M. I would recommend getting there earlier. They close at 2:00 P.M. We stayed in Pismo Beach. The problem was trying to get a taxi. We waited over an hour to get there and it was not cheap. Yellow cab has taken over. Whatever taxi you call, yellow cab picks up the phone. I guess you need to call very early and try to arrange a pick up time. Coming back, we waited 1.5-2 hours and no one came. Mirasol was kind enough to give us a ride back to our hotel. I did not want a DUI so we elected to get a taxi. Good luck on getting a taxi!! The place was horribly noisy, but the spread was fantastic!"

  • "We had a great server. He was polite, relatable, knowledgeable of the menus, and all around genuine. The scenery was superb. Few places could beat that combo. That being said, the food was decent but nothing to brag about except the potatoes. Which was strange. Out of the artichokes, tri-tip, salad, and whatever the groom had (seemed extravagant) the potatoes, both mashed and home-fried, were the best. For a special outing, I recommend this place. The view, the service, and ambience are worth it for a very special occasion. I would just say, unless you wanna drop a bill a person, eat a sandwich before you go cause the portions are kinda small. So, not ideal for the only meal of the evening if you're having a bachelor party."

  • "I remember going to this restaurant and enjoying a wonderful meal. The waiter didn't even know what was on the menu the bill, it was close to three hundred dollars and added 18% gratuity. Customer service was awful and the food was so bad. Prices way to high."

  • "I had the pork chop with sweet potato fritters and applesauce. This was one of the best meals I have ever had. The flavor combinations were that of something sent from heaven. Each bite was pure bliss. The pork chop was tender and moist. My wide had the tri-tip marinated in coffee. I believe the tri-tip was also coated/seasoned with finely ground coffee beans. The meat was very tender, but I wasn't too fond of the coffee flavor. I'd prefer more smoke flavor with the coffee flavor. Overall it was a great meal and I will be back again. The pork chop was the most amazing flavor combinations I have experienced."

The table was perfect! The wait staff was perfect, and the food was impeccable. Loved it! Would definitely go back again and would highly recommend this place to anyone."

Had the short ribs and it was a very small portion served on dry mashed potatoes with two small carrots. Pretty bland for a $30 plus entrée. Maybe it was a bad night or a new chef but it was much better the last time."

  • "The roasted duck with the spaghetti squash was fabulous and it was on the three courses for thirty dollar meal which was a extra bonus, my wife had the "chefs pairing" of the wine with the short ribs. which was very nice if you have trouble choosing the right wine with your meal. We dressed up for the meal and when we first arrived we felt over dressed because most of the other customers were at the bar and were all dressed very casual. The restaurant side was very elegant and we seemed to be dressed accordingly, however they will seat you dressed in shorts and a t shirt. For the price it was a excellent choince."

  • "We visited Marisol for our 30th anniversary. Food was better than average, however since it was Restaurant month we were limited to the prefix meals so we didn't get to see a normal menu. They did offer a wine pairing with the prefix meals, but they used the same wine for all or the starters & main courses! This really did not work with the selections we had, so it was a waste of money to add the wine pairing option. The waiter was extremely impersonal and somewhat rude. Our meals were quite good, better wine pairings would have improved our experience. We were not offered a wine list, nor asked if we would like coffee at the end of our meal. Our dessert was presented with a candle and Happy Anniversary. Good Food, disappointing service!"

  • "Unfortunately my initial review and private notes were too long to be accepted. Too bad, because the food was excellent, but there seemed to be no one in charge and the service was deplorable. With a reservation, waited 10 minutes at podium for hostess to show up, waited 40 minutes at the table to only find out that no one had been "assigned that table", another 15 minutes to "find" a wait person for the table. Lots of scurrying around, but nothing was getting done. Not conducive for a relaxing elegant dinning experience. EXCELLENT food, but someone need to get wait staff organized."

We all felt we had awesome meals. The restaurant has been consistently very good. As an aside, we 4 have enjoyed the generous free snacks at Happy Hour during the week."

  • "This was a disappointing morning. I booked a reservation for my family and friend for New Years Day. I am from San Luis Obispo, so Marisol used to be the place I would go for brunch every year for my birthday. So now that I live in San Francisco, I don't get the chance to eat in the area as much. When we arrived for our reservation the table was not ready. Once we were sat 3 different waiters took our drink orders and it was unclear who exactly our waiter/waitress was. The service was not horrible, that is not what I am implying, just seriously disorganized and lacking direction. The buffet was actually the most disappointing by far. The eggs Benedict was cold and stuck to the bottom of the pan, the French toast was also cold and hard."

  • "Right away we were greeted and escorted to our table. We had 4 individuals assist us this evening. Our waiter, Carlos, was quiet, but very friendly. The young man bringing our water took me seriously when I told him to keep the water coming and my water was never less than half full and I was drinking a ton being 7 1/2 months pregnant. He was very chatty which was nice too. The gentleman who seated us and the other waiter who cleared our plates were very pleasant as well. The food was delicious. The salmon was a little small for the price, but for me it was perfect. My husband ordered the chicken which I'm pretty sure he had a full chicken so totally worth it. Got to see by the romantic fireplace as well. Best part of our stay."

  • "We enjoyed our Christmas Eve dinner immensely. The coconut shrimp were a little overdone but the mango avocado sauce was delicious. We had the beef short ribs, best I've ever had, and the potato layered salmon. The dishes were well prepared and presented. Quantity was appropriate and flavors were outstanding. We also had the chocolate cake with stout for dessert. It was a large piece with several layers and a ganache frosting. It was beautiful and we ate every bite. Our waiter was very attentive and friendly. Definitely will return to this restaurant and recommend it to all our friends traveling to the Central Coast. Well done!"

  • "Came here for an early christmas dinner with family. Had found a buy one get one free coupon on SLO coupon facebook page. Asked the server before ordering if any restrictions he said no. Server was busy chatting with his buddies seated in our area most of the night so service was slow and awkward. When he finally brought the bill he refused our coupon as it was on the phone not printed out. He saw it on phone when we arrived and asked AND asked about restrictions. After an additional 45 minutes of arguing the mgr finally allowed it. Totally embarrasing experience. Not going back."

  • "Except for its scenic location, its awesome wine list and its very quiet dining room, Marisol didn't impress me. I would have rather eaten at a restaurant that cared about the seating comfort of its patrons and what they wanted to eat. The chairs very old and uncomfortable. The menu is impressive. It is up-to-date, lists local farms that supply produce, and has a good selection as to meal size and price. However, the staff lacked any apparent skill to accommodate a vegan diet other than to say the menus items could be served without added dairy-bases sauces and toppings. The meal I selected was disappointing for the price point; and I did not leave with any level of confidence that it had been vegan."

  • "Went here for our 30th wedding anniversary dinner, hoping for a cozy and quiet fine dining experience. Food was good, not great and not worth the price, which I hoped would be justified by the ambience of the room. It was not. Wonderful guitarist/singer didn't need her amplifier at all in a large room in which every dinner plate clatter echoed around the room. We sat with another couple by the fireplace, trying to adjust to the noise level, which was very high. Even when the singer took a break the sound from other tables carried like a concert hall. We both had the Braised Spare Ribs, carrots, and pureed potatoes, which was good but not worth the cost, even though well presented. Great wine list but overpriced by 50% or more."

  • "We had friends down from the bay area for a get together the Weds before Thanksgiving. We were surprised to see the dining room virtually empty most of the evening with only 6-8 table occupied all night. However, the wait staff was awesome! Waiter was friendly and the bread girl and bus boy were attentive and kind. I don't know if it was the way they normally operate or if it was due to a slow night, but they did a nice job in being friendly and chatty without intruding on our experience. The menu was slightly limited but entrees were well presented and tasty, if a little pricey. 4 people, 1 bottle of wine, 4 cocktails was north of $250...you decide."

  • "We enjoyed Marisol so much three days previously we returned again. Alas, the experience was not the same! My friend and I ordered the Pumpkin Ravioli with salt-crusted sage leaves, the meal we had enjoyed before. When the pasta arrived, it tasted ok but very different. It lacked the flavor depth of the time before. It took me about 3 minutes to realize the sage was missing!!! I pointed this out to the server immediately. He went to the kitchen only to return a few minutes later to say that the kitchen was out of sage (he hadn't been told). This is a brand new menu! The kitchen should have advised the server that the dish, as laid out in the title was incomplete. Certainly, the guest should be allowed to make an informed decision."
