"Mario's is a good experience—consistently. The fact he's moving toward more healthy offerings is greatly appreciated and valued. Whole wheat pasta, vegetarian selections, etc. We hope this trend continues... including reduced salt options, etc. Thumbs up to Mario!"

"A girlfriend and I wanted to find a nice place to have some drinks and dinner and catch up, Mario's was PERFECT! It happened to be the restaurant's 17th anniversary when we went so everyone got a free glass of wine to celebrate and Mario himself was walking around greeting each table, the entire evening was fantastic. I can't explain how many times I've walked by this place during the day not even noticing it was a restaurant (apparently they're only open for dinner) but I'm sure glad I finally found it. HIGHLY recommend eating at Mario's. Cheers."

"Interesting neighborhood spot. The food was just ok. My partner had the lobster and shrimp ravioli. The sauce tasted like chef boy ar dee and the ravioli tasted store-bought frozen. My Tortellini Jambalaya was quite good, but the chicken was dry and there was not enough sauce for me. For an appetizer we had the combination calamari. This was a very good start with the fried half having a tasty and delicate coating and the sautéed side having a nice tangy flavor. For dessert we chose the special strawberry tiramisu which was simply amazing and quite a surprise. So, both ends of the meal were excellent with the middle and most important part just being ok to marginal. The place is small and quite loud."
