Marinella has got to be one of my fave places to go and I have been going there for well over 10 years. Food is outrageously delicious and the service outstanding. Such a cute place and they never say no to requests - if they have it and you want it it's yours. Paparadelle Bolognese was beyond perfection... the mini meatballs on the blackboard were so great we got another order to go :) You will not be disappointed with this quiet, lovely little place.

I wanted to find a restaurant in New York City where local people like to go and Marinella fit the bill perfectly. My friend's lasagna was perfectly cooked and was much more flavorful than lasagna we have tasted at other Italian restaurants. My veal was tender and cooked with delicate sauce. Service was attentive and as visitors, we felt very welcome. The California house wine (cab-sauv) was smooth and well-bodied. A terrific evening.

Gave us a difficult time by saying we were supposed to call and confirm. We used opentable, and have many times before and the restaurant calls ME, not the other way around. After, they were accommodating, but the visit did not start off so well.

Whenever I go to Marinella, there will be one or two older New Yorkers in good clothes having dinner over quiet, sophisticated conversation. Marinella reminds me of those people because it is unassuming but self-assured and could only be in New York. I love its white tablecloths, professional staff, excellent food, good range of wine choices at prices that are completely fair presented in an atmosphere that works for me in jeans as well as those ladies who have been putting on a dress for dinner for fifty years. It's the perfect surprise because there is no scene at all, but only a truly savvy New Yorker will appreciate how good it is.

I am normally not a big fan for Italian food in NYC, even more so after having visited Italy. But the pasta here was really good - I had linguine with white clams sauce, which was delicious. My friends all love their dishes and the mussels we shared were really flavorful. On top of that, they offer great value for wines by the bottle.
