  • "My first time there and was very impress. Restaurant very cozy and delicious food. Staff was very nice and helpful with food recommendation. Restaurant very clean. Drinks, appetizers and best tasting food. Highly recommend it to everyone. Best service ever. Restaurant very elegant. The best romantic cozy dinner I will cherish and remember for rest if my life."

  • "It was a great experience. Everything was great. Employees were very helpful and nice and the food was awesome. Would go back in a heartbeat!!!"

  • "The breakfast buffet dishes were incredible.... The scrambled eggs were perfectly fluffy, the pancakes were delicious, I never had a turkey sausage that I enjoyed before like I did these. The breakfast was incredible"

  • "Service was slow and we only saw one waiter almost the entire time we were there even though the (small) restaurant was about half full. Took forever to get drinks and the wine was sub-par for the price. I had a perfect view of the kitchen and imagine my dismay when I saw one of the "chefs" take out a frozen piece of chicken and steam it to add to my dinner! Boxed pasta and frozen chicken...talk about a rip off. For dessert, they didn't have the chocolate cake we wanted even though it was fairly early in the evening. We had the Brownie Sundae instead and instead of brownies it was chocolate cake! Horrible coffee was the close to the meal. Overpriced, slow service, mediocre food. Don't bother."

  • "My husband and I went here for dinner. The staff were very attentive and pleasant, the decor and overall ambience was also very pleasant. However this is where it ended. The food was awful. We ordered crab cakes, they were fine but the accopanying salad was limp and withered. I also ordered some dumplings, these were frozen not freshly made, I know the difference. My husband ordered the seared Ahi tuna. It was tough and chewy, again this was not fresh but previously frozen. I'm afraid I could not recommend this restaurant to anyone"

  • "When we arrived for 5 pm dinner on Mother's Day, the restaurant did not appear to be opened. Apparently, they had a brunch that had just finished and they were still cleaning up from it. The waiter and manager apologized a number of times. Had I called directly, they would have informed us that it would have been better to arrive after 6 pm. The food was outstanding and the prices were reasonable."

  • "Went to hotel for quiet romantic weekend. Hotel was great, restaurant was poor. Great service with a really friendly staff but the decor was junk. They first put us in a side room that looked like a storage room for a banquet hall. In main restaurant it was noisy from a large party and just not much class. Hotel was really a fun place, staff was great, and bar was good, but not Marco Polo."

  • "I booked through Open Table at11:00. Thought we would have brunch. The space is in a hotel and they were still serving continental breakfast, cereal in a dispenser. We went elsewhere."

  • "So glad I didn t pay too mucg attention to the older reviews. I think they must have come along way since they opened. The service was friendly, personale and professional. The appetizers were wonderful as were the entrees. There was a party going on in the other room, and at times, the music was a bit loud, bot overall, everything was great - better than I expected. We'll definitely be going back. I want to try more of the appetizers!"

  • "Everyone at the restaurant was extremely welcoming and attentive. The food is very tasty and well-prepared. Downside to the menu, if you don't like chocolate (I'm allergic), the only choice is cheesecake. But the rest of the food and the thoughtful staff made for a fun evening."

  • "The restaurant looks like it belongs in a hotel somewhere in the Midwest!! It just isn't metropolitan enough for this area. Also, the mix of Italian/Asian is odd at best if it were executed well but sadly, here it is not. On the upside, the staff was very friendly and accommodating."

  • "My dish was great but two of my friends sent their back. Its a Small place but needs to do better with staffing. We waited 10 minutes just to get a waitress attention for water and the check. The bill was wrong but they did remedy it."

  • "I had eaten here before & it was nice, so I got the Groupon. This time it was ok, but "ok" wasn't the expectation. The food was good, the service iffy. Tho the waitstaff were all pleasant they could be hard to find. We had to ask for a bread refill 2x - when the entrees arrived & the bread hadn't we were asked if we "still want it?". Sigh. When I asked the waitress to recommend one of the house wines for the bottle that came w/ the Groupon, something got lost in translation. She sent the bartender (sommelier?) who did make a recommendation. Perhaps his recommendation wasn't a house wine? Because we were never given a bottle...just a 2nd glass w a not so generous pour. And the bill had a charge for the 2nd glass. They fixed it, but... :("

  • "The service wasn't good. Not sure if it was because there was a party going on and not enough staff attending the restaurant. The food was good, however, it sat in the window to be delivered for 5 minutes or more, enough to where when I got my food, it was lukewarm. If they had more servers, it would have made the experience better."

  • "The service was immediate and amazing throughout the dinner. We were looking to dine for about an hour so we could catch a movie and this was the perfect place (although we could have stayed longer if we wanted). The house wine was nice and the calamari appetizer was delicious. We both had the sesame tuna with julianne vegetables and wasabi mashed potatoes. We licked the plate clean! There was a nice size bar and lounge area in the lobby of the hotel with a cozy fire place with a very nice atmosphere. We will definitely go back!"

  • "Quaint little hotel restaurant with an ecclectic menu. Its a tasty mix of italian asian fusion. The place was empty when we got there at 6 We had the steak diane and the shrimp fra diavlo. The steak was perfectly cooked to medium rare in a delicate sherry mushroom sauce. My wife's pasta was good, but not excellent. The Monollian mozerella appetizer was amazing as was the smore egg roll dessert. Service was prompt and courteous. There was free edamame. The atmosphere was pretty great. We will probably go back."

  • "Limited menu, restaurant seemed an afterthought to the spa, hotel, conference center. Staff was solicitous but inexperienced. Food was tasty. We were the only diners in an eight (?) table operation."

  • "Though we live ten minutes away, we stayed in the hotel overnight and enjoyed a delicious dinner. The staff was very accommodating, and we felt like we were away on vacation. We would definitely recommend it for a special evening!"

  • "We had an enjoyable evening with friends with excellent food and service, although we were not rushed and could dine at our own pace. The waitress was most personable and helpful! This is a restaurant we will return to!"

  • "When my daughter and I arrived no one greeted us, so we went to the bar and sat down. It took awhile before a young lady came over to us. We noted to her that the resturant seemed short staffed and we were patient. We wanted to get out food order in asap because we weren't sure how long they would take. The food did come quickly and we felt sorry for the stand in barmaid. Our food was very good and we would come back, but hoopefully the bar would be better staffed. We also commented to people that stepped up to the bar for drinks that it may be a while as we had been waiting too. The woman who stepped in as a barmaid did her very best and we were very understanding to her."

  • "Food was good, price was okay, our waiter was attentive and very good. However, when I called for reservations, I got the impression that the restaurant was full. When we arrived, they had to pull a table out and set it up, there was a door open to a conference room and a draft. We had to wait 15 minutes for a baby shower with REALLY loud music to finish, so we could sit down. Not their fault, the place had been booked, they have to hire out their rooms. Bar was active, had some football games going. It's just that the place seems really disorganized; they advertise themselves as a fancy hotel, but it's really just a coffee shop kind of set-up. The staff was extremely cooperative, helpful, the food was good, but again, not very fancy."

  • "Our first experience at Marco Polo was a pleasant surprise! The service was wonderful, and the food was exquisite! We weren't sure how we would like the Asian-Italian fusion thing, but I have to say, it was wonderful, from my Asian Caesar salad to the Steak Diane. We will definitely be returning here to dine, as will our friends, and we will be letting others know about this gem."

  • "Very small restaurant in the Viana Hotel - but EXCELLENT service and very tasty food."

  • "My party of four was pleasantly surprised after dining at Marco Polo's. Located in the Viana Hotel and Spa which is located on Brush Hollow Rd. between the NYCB Theatre at Westbury and the Westbury 12 cinemas--this is the perfect place to go for a quiet meal before a movie or concert. The restaurant is located a level above the lobby in this new and modern hotel. The appetizers ordered were excellent. Two of us ordered the Tuna entree which was delivered rare and excellent. The salmon was excellent and while the Steak Diane was a tender piece of Filet Mignon, the sauce was a little bland for my taste. We ordered the house special S'mores dessert which was the perfect ending for a fine meal."

  • "The atmosphere is relaxed and quiet. The clams were fresh and delicious. The seafood pasta and the broccoli and steak dishes were fresh and flavorful. Can't wait to return to try more dishes."

  • "We were a party of 4. We had Thai dumplings and chicken franchese egg rolls which were both very good. For meals we had steak Diane, a steak with goranzola cheese and bacon, seafood linguine and shrimp stir fry. There were no complaints. I thought the seafood spaghetti was in a garlic wine sauce tasted more like a franchese sauce, it was good none the less. The prices are a bit high for regular dining so I would probably just visit for special occasions. There was only one other table so the service excellent and the noise level low"

  • "What a disappointment . It was mess and chaotic. They had some sort of auditions going on. The stream of individuals looking like vagrants with no mind nor care for people eating dinner. Dinner was only available in the bar/lounge area. They ran out of some wines; claimed it was two days and never got around to order more. It was a people show for sure. The place is certainly not as pictured in the online sight or brochures."

  • "Aside from the attractive decor and prompt and friendly service, this is not a place that commands a repeat visit. The menu is very limited with most choices overpriced."
    Dined on 9/17/2013
  • "The "restaurant" is really just an extension of the bar, so you're eating in the bar area. It's noisy. I ordered the Steak Diane, which according to the menue and every other time I've had it is a fillet that is pounded thin and sautéed, etc. What came was a fillet mignon in some sause. It looked good, but not what I ordered. So, I asked the waitress. She said, "Oh yes, that's Steak Diane." No it wasn't. I ate it. It was OK. The beef had little taste, though tender. Service was barely OK. I won't go back."
    Dined on 8/29/2013
  • "The menu was quite good and the food was well prepared. But it's very small and half the space is the bar. If there's an event like a wedding in the hotel the bar can get crowded and very loud, and there is nothing separating the bar from the restaurant section."
