A word from Marche du Sud
Marché du Sud is inspired by markets of the Mediterranean region and their gastronomic specialties.

We are a gourmet French market, restaurant, bakery, and wine bar all under one roof.

Toward the front of Marché du Sud are homemade croissants, breads, pastries and tarts.

As you move along, our ceiling height wooden shelves are filled by gourmet olives, couscous, condiments, and soups you name it, we have it.

Toward the back cases of cheeses and charcuterie responsible for our nine variations of French pizzas.

Diner Reviews
  • "It was my wife's birthday, and she wanted to have a group of her closest friends with her for brunch. This place easily accommodated for our party of 13 in the back, garden room for a Sunday 2pm reservation. The atmosphere was very relaxed, the service was extremely accommodating, and the food just made it so special for everyone there. We all enjoyed our time."

  • "It's like stepping into a Parisian cafe. everything on the menu is authentic and delicious. I recommend any of the Famous French Pizzas, but I do love La Marche du Sud, with a glass of Saint-Émilion Bordeaux."

  • "The food was great. Menu limited us to valentine's day special . The waiter recommended was helpful with the wine. Overall the restuarant was good for last minute plans."

  • "The food was fine. Not great, not bad. And, it was affordable for Manhattan (we were there for brunch). The service was, at best, ambivalent."

  • "I chose Marche du Sud for a Saturday morning brunch with family because the menu offered a nice variety of breakfast foods (both sweet and savory) as well as lunch type foods. The food was lovely and the staff was attentive and knowledgeable. I would go again."

  • "Never fails! Delicious French flavored food especially the light flaky pizza with amazing toppings like cheese and honey...A must! Service was very attentive and we enjoyed the back room sitting which would become a garden in the summer months. Will definitely come back :)"

  • "Really mediocre food, poor service, not very clean, and really not an enjoyable environment for a meal."

  • "Good simple Mediterranean/French fare. Fine for a local place, nicley quiet for lunch."

  • "Three Latin Americans met our French friend (hailing from Alsace, where tartes flambées are from) and had a cozy, quiet, lovely evening conversation and a great tasting of four of Marché du sud's best tartes flambées. The wine was great too!"

  • "I met a good friend for lunch and we sat in the back atrium area. Very cute ambiance, rustic, "country French" decor. It was mostly empty (we arrived at 1 p.m.), but even with that, the waiter wasn't too attentive. And it looked like we were the only table he had. Go figure... We split a Salade Marché du Sud with goat cheese fritters (superb!), figs, candied walnuts, julienne of romaine, shaved organic apple, lavender honey vinaigrette. Delish, even though the salad leaves were wilted and sad. We had French pizzas, chicken and vegetarian, both quite delicious! Overall, it was a very good dining experience and I would definitely return."

  • "We were looking for a place for breakfast on a Sunday around 10 am near our hotel. This place was close.. Very good breakfast, 3-4 choices of prix fix. We had the Omelette . Not enough servers. The server offered more coffee, I said yes, but he never came back with it - but the food was good"

  • "Food was mediocre at best. Staek was tough, chicken was dry. Service was the best part"

  • "Had a lovely early lunch....very relaxing, quiet, no rush , attentive service. We requested some meats and cheeses that were not on the menu. We were provided with the evening menu to choose! Food was fresh and delicious..........had a nice sized salad with yummy seasoned chicken. My guest had a huge burger and fries.....I noticed an area in the rear that looked like it was outdoors."
