Diner Reviews
  • "Informal, lakeside view, wineshop selection, excellent food."

  • "A bistro style indoor/ outdoor wine shop/ restaurant set on a lake-- how can you beat that. Add to that a nationally renowned local chef- Alex Stratta and you have a recipe for success. And they do deliver on the food. Do yourself a favor and try this hidden Las Vegas gem."

  • "We eat at the restaurant with regularity. We drive 70 miles round trip to eat here. I could go on and on about the fine service, food, ambiance, weekend singers, the european style of it but suffice it to say you will not be disappointed with any aspect of it. Its also tucked away from all the traffic on a lake ,,,, yes, in the middle of the desert."

  • "Rhonda and Jeff are Outstanding!! The food was fantastic and the bread pudding was great. The service was exceptional."

  • "My food was delicious. My husband's however was a big dissapointment. While the prawn appetizer was delicious there were only 2 prawns...for $18! He ordered a pasta, lobster, shrimp dish. THEY USED MINIATURE SALAD SHRIMP AND THERE WERE SHELLS IN THE DISH. It was mediocore at best...and the spiral pasta was just tacky...and this for $33!!!!"

  • "Great views and food. Not the best French restaurant I've been to, but the food was good. The nice thing is you start in the wine store, select your wine and bring it to the table and they serve it. Most of the wines are well marked with an explanation of the flavor and rating. Our service was a bit slow, so we weren't too please with that, but we think it was more our server as everyone else seemed to be getting served timely. He was very nice, but not too attentive. He may have been new or had too many tables to attend to."

  • "This was my fourth visit. As always the service and food were fantastic. I ordered the lobster roll, but had them put the lobster on greens rather than bread. They were most accommodating. Love this place!"

  • "Very pleasant atmosphere. Loved the scenery - the ducks/geese/swan were fun to watch. Nice wine list and awesome that I could order "by the glass" as my husband does not like wine. Food selection was pleasantly different and the taste was great! Too bad it is all the way across town from us - otherwise we would frequent it more often."

  • "We had chosen this restaurant for our wedding dinner (just the two of us) because we wanted a quiet place outside the strip for a little romantic time together. The price is much lower compared to other restaurants that offer the same quality of food and wine choice you can get on the Strip. The creme brûlée was simply the best one we both ever had. The place offers a patio directly on the lakeshore and the ambience that night was quiet and immensely romantic. This place is worth the extra mileage if you are staying in downtown LV or on the Strip. After the meal the owner helped us chose among their great choice of wine so I could get a nice gift for my mother."

  • "We were looking for a birthday celebration spot and we found it. The food and service were very good. Our seat looked out onto the lake. We picked up a bottle of wine from their store and had 1/2 with dinner and took the remainder home. We will be back."

  • "The worse service most likely because we were not drinking wine. Food, too,was not that pleasant. The ambience was good. Ducks, turtles and the blue Desert Shore was lovely. I would NOT recommend this place because the service was terrible and the food overpriced for the quality."

  • "Have enjoyed dining at Marche Bacchus several times and never been disappointed. The food is wonderful! And the view is outstanding! ...one of my favorite places..."

  • "I had my birthday lunch here and it was fantastic! I couldn't fault anything the location was magical, the food delicious and the service impecable. I even got a complimentary creme brulee as it was my birthday, loved this place and I would highly recommend it to others."

  • "Have gone to this restaurant ever since it first opened. Every year they make additional improvements and upgrade their food. Ambience and service are matched only by the quality of the food.."

  • "Marche Bacchus is subdued elegance. One of my fave places in the world. Food shines like a bright NOVA star. The ambiance and lakeside dining transports you to the Seine. Service is excellent and staff are very knowledgeable. This is a gem of a place that can beat any Michelin-star rated restaurants on The Strip and worldwide. kudos to the Chef, staff & the owners!"

  • "I have been to Marche for a lot of special occasions over the years. Its alway our first choice for anniversary dinners, mothers day dinners, etc. This last time I felt the service had slipped. Throughout the meal our water glasses went empty and we waited a while to get it refilled. The server was unsure of the specials. And our table rocked a lot. They tried to fix it but didnt offer to move us to another table. The food was great as always. The octopus appetizer was delicious. The beet salad was good but I thought it was a small portion for the price. The lobster risotto was good."

  • "If you love great food, good wine, and a beautiful view, Marche Bacchus fills the bill. The bread is definitely not the generic, tasteless stuff you are usually served to keep you quiet; indeed, it is warm, soft and moist inside, with a pleasingly crunchy crust. Since this is a wine market, the wine list is very good. For this particular lunch, I had the seared scallops--there are only two, but well worth the price of $17.00--paired with the aforementioned bread and a house salad. Perfect! We dined with friends at a table on the patio, right next to the lake, and it a was relaxing and satisfying experience."

  • "My wife and I dine at Marche Bacchus about once per month, most often for brunch or lunch, especially when the weather is nice so we can take advantage of dining outdoors on the shore of an artificial lake -- one of its special attractions. We recently had dinner there to celebrate my 78th birthday. It was a very relaxed evening, with live background music, great food, good service, and a romantic setting. I highly recommend this spot. They also sell a large variety of good wines, which are available by the bottle with a meal at the retail price."

  • "We had heard about this restaurant from a friend and were very impressed when we went there. The ambience was great, we sat on the patio with heaters and the view was great. Our servers did a great job of checking on us and were knowledgable of the menu. The good was outstanding and the wine was as well. Will definitely eat here again. Was also awesome to use the online reservation from their website, so convenient! Loved it."

  • "Very nice lakeside setting on outskirts of Las Vegas, great getaway from strip and downtown. Good for lunch and enjoying a glass of wine. Food, however, is a mixed bag. We ordered from the prix fix lunch: $20 each for salad, entree and glass of house wine. A good deal but very limited selections. Our choices were Vegan burger, bacon cheeseburger, and bistro baked chicken. All come with french fries, which is a mistake. They should allow you to sub a small house salad, fruit or sauteed veggies instead of pomme frittes. My wife ordered chicken and it was very straightforward and good . My burger was overcooked but tasted good. Hated the fried onions with it. Overall, they need more French food and less American. We can get that in LV."

  • "We've been here once before and really enjoyed it. Decided to come again for a belated Valentines dinner. The food was delicious, the service very poor. At one point we had to wait 30+ minutes for our drinks, we ordered before our dinner came, which we had finished our dinner at the point we finally received them. Their excuse was they had to find someone who knew how to make the drink, which is strange, if it's on the menu you should know how to make it, and their was no excuse for taking that much time for his wine. Just an overall bad experience, marginally made up by the delicious food."

  • "We have been customers of Marche Bacchus for about ten years. Originally we were motivated by its location and outdoor seating, on the shores of an artificial lake near our home. Food was good, but has improved dramatically over the past few years under new ownership. Since it is a combination restaurant and wine store, there are many good to excellent wines available at very reasonable prices. If you bring your own wine, the corkage fee is $25, which is reasonable compared to other places in Las Vegas."

  • "To go eat at Marche Bacchus, was my birthday present. It had been highly recommended by co-workers. The views of the lake and the food were everything people said they would be. The service, not so hot. When we were greeted at the door, another couple had come in at the same time. We were told to follow along to be seated like we were all part of a group. I didn't feel special. This place should make you Feel Special. We had requested a second glass of wine, it never came. Two people assisted at our table but we hardly ever saw them. No one bothered to explain the menu or ask if we had any questions about the menu. No one had bothered to ask if this was our first time and did we have any questions."

  • "Very unusual place for Las Vegas. Situated off-Strip on a lake. Wine store also! Always a great choice. Owner is often there & accessible. Great experience. Can also take wine & pay corkage."

  • "I'm always happy to grab lunch at Marche Bacchus when I can. Had an excellent champagne with my steak and eggs...and their breakfast potatoes are the best I've had anywhere. Definitely the best brunch in town for the price point..."

  • "Best off Strip restaurant and better than most Strip restaurants"
    Dined on 2/14/2014
  • "The wait staff was awful. We waited 30 min before we even received our water or were asked if we would like a cocktail or to see a wine menu. We never received any bread until it was specifically requested. The worst part was watching tables that arrived after us getting served second courses before we even received the sparkling water we ordered."

  • "First time we were there for Sunday brunch. Food excellent. Service was subpar but more a problem with management and the kitchen: they were very busy and ran out of quiche and bread--at a French restaurant?!"

  • "Marche Bacchus has it all. Great view, food, wine and really attentive service. Mellow live music rounds it out. I really, really like this place."

  • "My wife and I went to this place for 2014 New Year's. I would not call it the restaurant, the place has about 2000 sq ft filled with wines racks and the small room with actual indoors seating. Major seating area was set in the outdoors space with permanent roof but with temporary walls made of plastic. Since it was New Year's the restaurant had the preset menu. The portions were very small. I stand up the spoon in the bowl with soup and it was like 3/16" deep. The desert was served on one plate for both of us, but it was the size of a sampler! Service was poor, each time we needed a simple water refill we had to ask about it. Our server did not make any wine selection suggestions, while the place has what looked like a big wine collection."

  • "I had the flat Iron Steak it was great cooked to perfection, my partner had the duck breast very flavorful but it was not enough for him. Very nice dinner"

  • "A lovely setting, pleasant staff and servers, but food was over-priced and unimpressive. I had risotto with crab and shrimp, but there was just one small piece of crab and a few tiny shrimp. Not much rice, either."

  • "Normally a great spot...tonight the food was still good, but our server seriously lacked. He was missing for most of the evening, and when he was around he was curt and abrupt... He even took my wine before I was done...When we received our coffee it was cold, the server took it away... I would have expected it to be replaced with fresh coffee but instead it came back to the table, with the cream and sugar still in it... So likely was microwaved to re warm. When your spending this kid of money for a meal I would expect more from the wait staff."

  • "Food was OK but pretty pricey for what was served.. Portions are on the small side. Fish was served undercooked and had to be returned to the kitchen. Problem was only partially corrected and diners were unhappy with resolution. Management was ineffectual. We will not return to this restaurant. ."
