Marche aux FleursA lovely afternoonWe celebrated Mother's Day with our daughter and baby granddaughter who were visiting from NYC. Our daughter loved the food and the ambience of the outdoor patio. Tonight everything clicked.. an early res, a warm greeting from owner Holly on which table we'd like, started with a glass of Santa Barabara rose while we figured out what we wanted to order from the prix fixe menu and got recommendations from Peter our favorite server. I had golden zucchini summer squash soup with an eggplant accent, an oven-roasted small chicken breast with a killer set of small veg over mashed potatoes and a glass of pinot, then a black and white creme brulee with cookies for dessert that chef/owner Dan served. My bride had a fava bean bruschetta, the halibut with beet and a glass of chardonnay, and the strawberry cornmeal shortcake.
