Mappamondo returns after 11 years to the original location in the heart of the West Village with its authentic Italian cuisine of a classic Italian trattoria with an extraordinarily warm and cozy atmosphere, where you can sample the best simple, fresh, and delicious homemade food that Italy has to… offer at reasonable prices.
The service is warm and friendly and the wine list has the same quality and value as the food.
Mappamondo means "Globe" in Italian, so the walls are covered with a large fresco vintage map, a collection of vintage globes, and an array of world themed items from teapots to cookie jars and bookends to globe candles.
Mappamondo serves lunch and dinner 7 days a week from 12pm to 12am and brunch Saturday and Sunday from 12pm to 4pm. Delivery and Take Out is also available.Continued
