"The food was one of the best, the service was great during the meal. However, our resevation was at 5:30pm we were about 20 minutes early for our reservation. The lady told us she could not seat us, asked us to come back in 20 minutes. The lady wasn't really offer us to seat at the bar. That's really disappointing. After 20 minutes we went back, she was serving people sitting in, and we were sitting at front waiting. There were no other staff checking people in. There were about 6 people standing at the front waiting. Until the store manager came in, he apologized for the waiting and seated us.

Overall it's a wonderful dinner."

"The food was excellent... especially, the gnocchi, meatballs,salmon and the pork chop.The bread abd butter were fantastic. The hostess was charming and friendly; the bartender was a joy and made a GREAT vodka martini. Our server, Matthew, was friendly, knowledgeable,and fascinating to converse with, especially, talking about his adventures,cooking, painting, metal work, sculpting and cooking. We would definitely recommend the Manzanita to anyone for any occasion."

"Fantastic food right on the slopes of Northstar (Mt. Pluto) near Lake Tahoe. The food was king, but the ambience and decor were great too. The short ribs (special) were ridiculously tenerder and flavorful. Fish dishes (salmon) are surprisingly flavorful too. Service was the only disappointment. Our server was mechanical and seemed to be on a schedule to move things along quickly. Hopefully, not representative. I'd definintely revisit even with the mediocre service."
