  • "The ambience and food at Manuel's are superb. This is a great place for sitting outside and relaxing over a delicious meal. The service was terrific!"

  • "We visited Manuel's for the second time on a repeat trip to the Masters. Our first experience was fantastic, which was why we wanted to go again. Unfortunately the restaurant seemed completely overwhelmed, as it took almost 20 minutes to be seated despite open tables. Thereafter, it took almost 2.5 hours to finish our meal. The upside was that this is a beautiful restaurant in a quaint area of North Augusta, so we really weren't bummed to have to enjoy their patio for so long. And, the food here is amazing. It was just unfortunate that we lost much of our night to waiting. Bottom line: increase service capacity and this is a 5-star restaurant."

  • "Overwhelmed by Masters attendees- Ran out of Ceasar salas soup specials and duck which is on the menu . Wine choice $30-35 and around $95 But location is interesting- outside dining was good- staff nice but totally thrown by volume."

  • "I entertain here frequently and this visit was as well-received and enjoyed as previous visits. Two international travelers thoroughly enjoyed the cheese board and two of the night's specials. They actually asked for a return visit on the next trip, indicating an overall excellent evening."

  • "They took very good care of us. We have been there for different occasions. Always fantastic menu and great service."

  • "The waiter did not know the specials very well and incorrectly described the one I was interested in trying. The house salad comes with a horseradish type dressing, which was not noted by the waiter or menu and was too strong to eat. This was kindly swapped for a caesar salad when I complained. The main course chicken was ok, but not worth going out of the way to taste. The wild rice was barely edible. The bread was very dry and disappointing considering that bread is in the restaurant name. The menu listed that salads are served with honey butter, but the waiter looked confused when I asked about it. The vegetables were ok, but they only gave a very small portion."

  • "Manuel's Bread Café is one of the top 3 places to eat in the Augusta area and EASILY the best restaurant in North Augusta. Located in Hammond's Ferry, it has a great outdoor dining area and wonderful views from the middle of this amazing neighborhood. With the "farm-to-table" menu and daily specials, this is our favorite place to eat!"

  • "It was closed because of the weather but no one emailed or anything. So we hoofed it from across town to find it closed. What is the point of having opentable if you don't use it to notify your customers?"

  • "We loved the unique menu and had excellent service from our server. She took plenty of time to explain all the specials. The only thing that could have been better was our table. We were put up along a wall with a movie projected on the wall above our heads. We were told the window tables were reserved and no one was even at either of them by the time we had left. Our first two dessert choices were no longer available, but there were plenty of other options. It was delicious food and a great date spot for our anniversary dinner."

  • "Loved it...the service was outstanding and the food was so fresh and vibrant. One of my favorite places in the area."

  • "I took my mom here for lunch off the recommendation of a friend. Our sandwiches were great, and we had wonderful and attentive service. I recommend reserving ahead of time, especially when its cold and outdoor seating is unavailable, and the space inside in limited."

  • "The Food was excellent. I would say BEST in Augusta! The smallness is intimate but close proximity to other guests makes it noisier than I prefer. That particular night had a large party of 7 that was very noisy. The waitress was very qualified and friendly. The high price will keep many from being able to afford. It would keep me from dining there on a monthly basis. But I definitely recommend it and will return. Hats off to the CHEF!"

  • "Went by with a work group with a last minute reservation - they were very accommodating, the food was awesome, the service charming and timely and we had a wonderful time. What more could I say?"

  • "The food was excellent!!! and the service was great. Smaller place, but would be perfect for a group of 4 to 8 people, . Went as a couple and some of the tables are very close together which became quite awkward trying to have a serious conversation with someone 2ft away. But, this is definitely on the list of top restaurants in Augusta. Would be awesome to eat outside, for brunch, or a pair of couples."

  • "We always have wonderful food and service at Manuel's Bread! It is refreshing to have a restaurant of this caliber in our area. We are always looking for something unique and better than the chain restaurants that are quite prevalent in the CSRA. Thank you, Manuel's Bread for being consistently excellent in the fine dinning category."

  • "We went for New Years buffet. The food was ok, Plus: shrimp fresh and cooked well; Minus: few desserts, cakes were dry. Overall a good experience; we were generally happy with the food and the servers were all very friendly and efficient. I thought $10 for one small glass of wine was fairly high for the area. Also did not care for the fact that this restaurant chooses to add a service charge of close to 20% to the bill and then leaves a place for "tip" when signing."

  • "The service and ambiance are fantastic. This is a nice place for a quiet meal, but the food lately has been hit or miss. This time, our caesar salads tasted like raw collard greens; our mashed potatoes came out cold; and pir pork medallions were an inferior cut (definitely not the tenderloin described on the menu). Other times, everything is perfect and delicious. I haven't had a bad lunch experience there ever, but going for dinner is a gamble."

  • "Where Manuel's is located is amazing..the lighting in the restaurant is perfect for the right mood.. Waitress was knowledgable on all suggestions ranging form wines to Dailey specials.. The dinner was great, except for the meals and prices don not match on the quantity ...never the same portions every time we go to Manuel's.. Thank and have a HaPpY nEw YeAr ."

  • "My husband and I have only dined at Manuel's once and had a fabulous outdoor dining experience. This past experience fell short. The TV room was loud and cold, the waiter never asked for a drink order or of we cared to hear about the desserts. My husband's grouped was overcooked although it was quite flavorful. The three cheese plate was good, especially the Swiss and Irish cheeses. Overall, considering we made reservations and met another couple,it was not what I was anticipating."

  • "Our server was Tommy for a party of 11 and he did absolutely wonderful! He was extremely attentive to our needs, but not overly aggressive in tending to us. He had an outgoing and energetic personality and overall we thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Manuel's Cafe and will definitely be going back."

  • "Everything at Manuel's was just right. The food was excellent, plenty of choices, great wine list, fairly priced and good service. Located in the neo-traditional community of Hammond's Ferry in North Augusta, the setting was most pleasant. Ideal "date night" spot. My wife and I'll will be back next time we're in Augusta. I almost forgot, the deserts, all made in house, are to die for!"

  • "My first time here, and great experience. I am not sure that I would list it a cafe, but found it to be a quirky small restaurant in new retro neighborhood. Great food and service. It was cold and damp, therefore did not get to try dining outside, but will next time."

  • "Many of the selections were outstanding. A few were not! We would have preferred inclusion of a few more traditional Thanksgiving dishes."
    Dined on 11/28/2013
  • "Ok buffet, turkey was dry. No standard foods like pumpkin pie or mashed potato's. I guess it was my fault for going to a French restaurant for thanksgiving. 2nd time at restaurant and consider it ok, not as overwhelmed as others."

  • "I am so happy i get to express my experience at Manuels. Everything about my evening there was amazing. Our server ,Tammy, was a delight, food was excellent, wine delicious and best of all they actually read my reservation notes about that evening being a special birthday night / remembered the name of the birthday person. Manuels will definetly be a dining experience I will recommend to everyone. Thanks so much Pam Pate"

  • "We very much enjoyed our business lunch there and our associates from Indianapolis and Ireland were very impressed with the restaurant and the area. Our lunch was a success. I love this little place. It's quaint, great for lunch, and romantic at night. After lunch or dinner, you can take a stroll in the river view park one block away. We are very fortunate to have such a nice place in our small town."

  • "My out of town daughter and I had a terrific time, I had the salmon burger and she had the duck confit salad for lunch. Both were excellent although my salmon started falling apart a little. Our server, Dawn was attentive and very sweet. I'll definitely be back."

  • "This place used to be awesome. We would eat there at least once per month. Something has changed big time for the worst. The food was a 1 out of 10. Cold, over seasoned and lacking quality. The service was not attentive and slow. Many of my friends have had similar experiences lately. Sad change to a once great place."

  • "My husband and I have been here several times, alone as well as with family. The food has always been excellent and very reasonably priced for portion size and quality. The waitstaff are extremely knowledgeable about every menu item and very attentive. We never feel rushed and look forward to enjoying another meal at Manuel's soon!"

  • "We met friends from out of town at Manuel's and had a wonderful time talking and eating. Desserts are to die for! Wait staff was very personable. Music was divine - it was recorded, but we still enjoyed it and it didn't drown out conversations."

  • "We had a large table of 12 which can be a challenge for waiters but everything was perfect. Pork medallion was great - chicken piccata was perfect - steak for two was enough for 4. A great family reunion in a wonderful neighborhood restaurant."

  • "As always, a perfect experience with perfect food! Staff outgoing and friendly, as is the chef. The shrimp and scallops grits was out of this world! I love eating here, glad it's in my neighborhood."
