It was a revelation in what a steak could be, and so I came back twice more that same trip, and fell head-over-heels in love with the rib-eye. My wife and daughter and I were in town last week so I decided to splurge, and it was as marvelous as I'd hoped. Since the portions are huge and expensive, my wife and I split a $55 rib-eye, and we still took some home in a "doggie" bag. Arf! Our daughter had the filet. Both pronounced theirs the best steak they'd ever tasted. Me, too. I can't afford $150 wine, so I bought by the glass and it was fine. Place is noisy. Cool wait staff. My steak was perfectly cooked, but their style doesn't use any seasoning so it requires the diner to like that. I pefer a little black pepper/salt/oliveoil myself. The steak at Manny's was very good, but a step below Morton"s. That said, where Manny's continues to be a problem is the crowded space and extreme volume. This was a Monday evening, and the restaurant was packed. Twice we had to physically move our table to avoid bumping chairs and body parts with other diners coming in and seating at adjacent tables. I'm not new to Steakhouses, I've been to most of the best ones around the country and Manny's is likely among the most expensive I've been to, at least outside of NYC. It's worth it, don't get me wrong, but I think there was only one steak under $50. We had a shared mashed potato side which was plenty for 5 of us. And it was very good. They brought a huge birthday dessert for my 18 yr old's bday. We couldn't finish it. The side dishes: mini-mashed potatoes, half-serving of asparagus were enormous. Wedge salad and potatoes had bits of the best bacon I have ever had: smokey and thick from Wisconsin (Nueske's).
The steaks: bone-in ribeye and filet were excellent. cooked perfectly, tender and full of flavor. Perhaps one of the 3 or 4 best steaks I have had.
Wine selection and price ranges were excellent. House Cab and Malbec very nice.
Expect about $75-100+ person (depending on drinks and sides).

The bill was very pricey but worth every penny. Everyone, from the maitre'd to our server (Anthony = A+) to the other servers and employees, was very friendly and welcoming. There was a rather large, boisterous table seated close by so the noise was a bit loud but to be expected.
