WHO WE ARE
We are an independently owned, family friendly restaurant, specializing in artisanal pizzas and creative Italian dishes prepared in wood-burning ovens. We believe that when you dine out your experience should be fun, and our style of service sets that tone. Our menu is composed of small plates designed to be shared with your family and friends.

RESERVATIONS
We take advance reservations for parties of 6 or more. Please note that not all of our large tables are displayed online, so please contact us to check for additional availability. We will do all we can to accommodate your group. As a convenience, for parties with fewer than 6 guests, call us when you are 20 minutes away and we will gladly add your name to our Guest List. If there is a wait, you will be guaranteed a place on the Guest List at the time of your call. Unfortunately, we are able to hold your place on the list for only 20 minutes.

Open Table had booked us into the bar area with high-top tables and high stools but the restaurant was very accommodating and moved us so our 4-yr old could sit comfortably. Brunch was combination of regular-menu pizzas and high-end brunch items. The table received a basket of bread with wonderful scones. Two of our party had craft cocktails that they pronounced as excellent. Would definitely return."

  • "perfect birthday celebration with my girlfriends! relaxed yet special atmosphere with outstanding food. waiter recommended family style so we ordered 6+ brunch items and ate every crumb. we are a group of diverse tastes that included vegetarian, and there was something delectable for every one of us. comfortable - we could hear each other, and talked and ate with abandon for two hours. oh, did i mention the bloody marys?! everything i needed in a drink to start my birthday - familiar and interesting concoction of ingredients, embellished with unique and exciting garnishes. i have appreciated mani since it opened for its great food, big city/cozy italian neighborhood atmosphere, friendly bar - sunday brunch now added to list of favorites!"

  • "I've lived in Ann Arbor for 3 years, and Mani's has always been my favorite restaurant. All of the food--especially the pizza--is delicious (I especially recommend the tomato appetizer). The only down-side is that you can't make reservations for groups less than 6, and on weekends the wait can be very long (utilize the call ahead policy). If Mani's fixed the reservation policy, it would literally be the perfect restaurant."

Other brunch items, truffle toast and eggs Amartriciana were equally fantastic. Great white sangria. The restaurant was very full, so clearly the word is out that Mani is a great place to dine.   • "The pizzas, especially the buretta pizza, were spectacular. The salads were spectacular also. Service was friendly, helpful, completely patient and happy to assist us with all our our questions. They were a wonderful part of our company lunch. The pizza ovens were really neat to see. Provided a warm feeling to see them blazing away with real fire. It was also cool to see the wood stacked up under the bar counter. It is all very authentic and heartfelt to the core. The only minus was the pizza crust was a little too salty, and the place was a little too noisy, It would be really nice to have something softer on the floor or walls to make it feel cozier."

  • "We'd been here before and chose Mani again for the end of our Thanksgiving visit-an early dinner after the OSU game. They only take reservations for 6 or more, which is a drag. We scared up my son's roommate to make our group 6. Calamari nice, and the mussels were the best I've had anywhere in a while. Husband had the octopus appetizer and thought it was a little skimpy-he ordered it for his main course with a salad. My daughter's pappardelle Bolognese was good but a little too salty. I had the pizza with pistachios and other stuff. Lots of pistachio bits and nothing to glue them to the pie with. They mostly fell off, which was ok because there were too many. Food came out at different times - ugh - being busy isn't a good excuse for that."

  • "Mani has many interesting menu items and seem reasonably priced, about $15 for an entree. However, the portions are VERY small. One pasta entree will not even fill you up, yet it doesn't come with salad, soup, or even bread on the side. I really thought it would even be big enough to share with another person, as pasta dishes are usually good-sized at most any Italian restaurant. But it came out looking like just a half portion.The pizza looked good, and might be worth it, considering the unusual toppings. The pizza looks to be about a thin crust medium size, and also runs about $15. So, I'd say if you're really looking forward to a tasty, filling meal, if you go to Mani, maybe you should get the pizza--I hope it's as good as it looks."

  • "We had reservations and although we arrived early, we were greeted amd seated immediately. Our waitress was knowledgeable and friendly. We started with a version of tempura veggies with caramelized lemon, and smoked salmon. The tempura veggies were a surprisingly light with a taste of caramelized lemon. Delicious! The smoked salmon was served with finely minced egg and capers. It was lovely. For dinner we shared a pepperoni pizza which had a several defined flavors that was fantastic. The bay scallops and vermicelli was perfect as was the veal and pasta dish. For dessert, the raspberry gelato and tiramisu were at hit. The raspberry flavor was intense and the tiramisu had well defined flavors and textures."

The appetizers, especially the mussels were as good as they get, and one pizza ended up satisfying six of us by the time we finished the apps. Three of us had pasta dishes and server could not help with wich person ordered each dish. Last time it was just two of us and we sat at the bar and it was perfect because we shared everything."

  • "I love this place. The food is unique and delicious. We were afraid to go there when it first opened because we have a toddler and when you walk or drive by, it doesn't appear to be kid friendly (white table clothes, high top tables, glasses on the table). Finally my partner went with a friend for lunch and stated that it she thought our daughter would be fine there for dinner. I called and asked for a high-chair. When we finally went, there were three other toddlers there, so we fit right in. And, we all LOVED the food. Can I please have some more of EVERYTHING there. Drinks are great too!"

  • "While the food is usually dependable with respect to both flavor and preparation, the same can't be said for the service. Maybe I encountered a new staff member but the simplest of requests (food on one tab, liquor on another please or "may we have silverware?", seemed to fall on deaf ears. I'm not sure if it's the staggered delivery of the food to the table that keeps everyone running, but it seems like the staff may simply be overwhelmed and the details aren't cared for. If one thing starts to drag, the whole ship starts to sink. ie . even though we were there mid-week, a communication snafu between the kitchen and the waitstaff resulted in two of our 6 entrees being forgotten about. Sigh..... Very good food, inconsistent ser"
