Went here for the 2nd time in 2 weeks. We sat in the bar area this time which had live music and the Laker game on the TV. My son didn't feel comfortable in the regular dining area since he was dressed in a sweatshirt and shorts. We both ordered the Wild Game Platter cooked medium which turned out excellent. When I ordered the platter two weeks ago, it was a bit dry even though I also requested medium at that time. We also ordered the Escargot which was a little rubbery. I thought it tasted great but my son thought it was too salty. Our server, Kat was very nice and attentive. We will definitely come here again.

This restaurant is really a hidden gem because the neighborhood surrounding it does not reflect the high quality of the food served inside. The ambiance of the dining room is elegant in a cozy way. The service is attentive but not intrusive, allowing you to have a romantic dinner. Reservation is recommended, and they allow 2 hours so you can enjoy your meal at your own pace. The Prime cut Rib Eye and Chilean Sea bass is simply delicious and fresh. The Chocolate Chip bread pudding is a must try. This is a great place to celebrate an anniversary, birthday or a special occasion. Just let them know and they will make it special.

Manhattan replace the La Brasserie at this location. Had been dining at La Brasserie for years excellent food and great deserts. Was concerned when it was replaced by Manhattan, but concerns were misplaced. Manhattan still provides delicious meals and nice ambiance. Dined with a party of 4 and each of us raved about our meals. Our group had Prime Rib, Steaks and Chicken and each meal was outstanding. This is a restaurant well worth your time. There are many steak houses in Orange County that charge more, but deliver much less quality. I highly recommend the Manhattan. Sorry I don't remember the name of our waiter, but he was middle aged, and provide stellar service, made our dinner intimate and met the needs of some very demanding diners. Well worth the money, Free Parking and great bar.

From the minute we got there, the services was "perfect," and I am very very picky about that everywhere I go! It had an old style feel, not fancy at all in the bar, but good drinks, great happy hour specials, wonderful music and live singer...thoroughly enjoyed the bar, service, and crowd. The dining room was lovely, upstairs. I don't know what the dining room is like downstairs. The service was great, the wine list excellent (for my favorites, and surprised to see them), and the food was delicious. My only thing is "how can "we" all help them bring in more business? There is "no way" every table shouldn't have been full on a Friday night!

I used to eat here frequently but when they started changing chefs seemingly every week and raised the prices to a level that was not justified by the quality of the food, I stopped. On the spur of the moment I gave them a try and was pleased to see the prices (with one notable exception--the short ribs) have been reduced a bit and the quality of the food was quite good. In an effort to increase business on a typically slow night for restaurants (Tuesday), they have instituted a 1/2 price wine night for the month of October. This is a wonderful promotion which they should consider doing permanently.

There was confusion on the presentation of the menu and ordering process. Also there was too many people involved considering we were the only people in the room. For the price paid I was shocked at the portions. Not what I expected from the reviews online.

First time we ate at the Manhattan and it was a good experience. Went there for my wife's birthday and wasn't disappointed. We ate in the bar area as we thought it was cozier. As a bonus, a great trio started playing about half way through dinner. The had the sound level perfect and played music that was pleasant. Food was very good.

We've been driving by here for years and finally decided to try it for my birthday. I had the filet mignon, escargot, oysters on a half shell and one of my other guest, from what I could remember, loved their lamb chops. I've been celebrating my birthday this whole week, so the whole table agreed that the escargot and oysters was better here than the other night. There's a special treat for your birthday also and the chocolate souffle was delicious.

When I received my "tab," it was wrong two times ... they padded the meal (regular price - should have been Sunday special; and one side was included with the Sunday special, but they charged $12.00 extra. You really have to CHECK THE BILL at this restaurant ... there were a couple other mess-ups with the sides presented with the wrong meal. Sunday night it wasn't that busy. Guess that's why they have the special just trying to rope you in and scam on the bill. The restaurant has lost the ambience it once had. No white zinfandel with a huge wine menu! They no longer serve lunch - with that service, I can understand. Really too bad - my prime rib was very good. Young, inexperienced servers - female manager wasn't to the standard. $$$

A steak house that is top notch with fine dining as the strategy. Not riducolously oversized portions accompanied by namebrand pricing. This place reminds me so much of the old Riviera or Arches. Brings back the art of personal attention (Thanks Bob!!) Food was outstanding! Free Parking - yeah, can you believe it?!?!? Not a $6 charge to park your car (no names mentioned, but yeah, you know who you are!). No seriously, first time dining here. Outstanding service by Bob, outstanding quality and presentation of food. Timing of each segment was spot on. Will be back soon.

Please note that we were a party of three persons in a semi formal business meeting/dinner, the service was beyond my expectations, the Hostess was cordial, our waiter Jesus was exceptionally kind, professional, attentive, polite and fun. The waiter assistant was very attentive as well, fast at refilling our glasses of water and taking off unused plates from the table. The food was not as good this time, the lobster bisque was salty and the consistency was unusually thick not very pleasant to the mouth. The rockefeller oysters were very salty as well and the crab cakes were not very tasty this time. The rest of our food was a fine experience and the martinis were delicious. Except for those salty appetizers, our experience was nice.

Manhattan is located in an older, quiet part of The city of Orange and is housed in a what once was a French restaurant that I used to frequent so it was nice discover that there is now an excellent steak and seafood house occupies the building. The menu is ample and varied - what is unusual is there are 4 different game items on the menu - wild Boar, elk, ostrich and, I think, buffalo Our waiter, Bob was excellent.

The service staff were friendly, extremely attentive, and helpful in selecting menu items and wines to pair with them. I enjoyed the salad with roasted pear and goat cheese. The filet was cooked perfectly, seasoned well (but not heavily), and was melt-in-your-mouth tender. The grilled asparagus and scalloped potatoes were on par with most fine dining restaurants. The restaurant itself was not overly crowded on the weeknight we went, and thus quiet with the exception of jazz music playing in the bar area that made for nice background noise at our table. The decor is perhaps more suited to the older generations, but we were not seeking a trendy hotspot so that wasn't a big deal. I would definitely go back and recommend it for a date night.

I was disappointed in the array of food. I would expect when I spend $35 for brunch that the carving station would have lamb. Would have liked more of a dessert selecton. Nice steakhouse with excellent service. Bartender was able to mix up a rare favortie cocktail for me (Eastside with Hendricks). The wine service was excellent with a good selection of affordable wines. My only complaint is the ribeye was too thinly cut with too much marbling with the end result of more gristle than meat.
