Manhattan Beach PostOutstanding! My friend I had a great experience at MB Post. Wait staff was very knowlegdable and attentive, particularly with pairing wines with the dishes. The food was outstanding! It does get quite noisy.I can't wait to go back again!5/13/2013 12:00:00 AML O V ENothing but good things to say about this place. A great find !5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat all around spotFood was amazing - the pork jowls and biscuits are always on the top of my list, but the ceviche was a new find.

Generous-sized small plates large enough to share. And so, so delicious!5/2/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Casual FoodMB Post is mostly communal tables but it works well. Lots of small plates are truly outstanding including the sprouts, lamb belly, and lentil soup. 2nd time eating there while on business in LA.5/1/2013 12:00:00 AMA Memorable EveningWe were a party of six celebrating a birthday and the food, service and drinks couldn't have been better.
We were taken care of superbly, each and every dish was delicious (scallops were phenomenal) and the
drinks from the bar were excellent too.
Looking forward to going back. It is a rare restaurant that takes pride in its service when it is as hot as this one.
Kudos!5/1/2013 12:00:00 AMLove itWe love this place. The servers are great about making recommendations on food and wine. The biscuits are mind-blowingly delish and the veggies are terrific. It's all good. And the salted caramel chocolate tart was scrumptious. Going again on my next birthday.4/30/2013 12:00:00 AMWe were a group of 5 womenWe were a group of 5 women (first time visit) and we all loved your restaurant. The menu was creative, the service was wonderful and the ambiance very cool. We will all be back - thanks. Mary Tarango4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMThe Manhattan of the BeachMB Post was recommended by many. Upon arriving was surprised at the laid back feel of the place that was so appropriate for a beach town. The food, however, is not what you would expect in a beach town. Starting with the different bread selections, the homemade cheddar bacon biscuits are outstanding. I had the creatively prepared squid: the body was grilled; the tentacles, fried. It too was outstanding, tender and a great juxtaposition of textures. Great wine list and a friendly staff that really knows there stuff make this a must if you are anywhere in Southern Cal.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMJust the best restaurant.Just the best restaurant. The combination of flavors and ingredients is simply outstanding. Sit at the bar and eat and drink. Greg and Sal are terrific bartenders; they know their food as well as drinks.4/25/2013 12:00:00 AMWay too noisyThe food and service are top notch, but it is so noisy. The only way I could tell my partner was talking was that his lips moved, but we heard every word of the loudmouth business men sitting next to us.4/24/2013 12:00:00 AMOutstanding food & service (pricey)The service was impeccable and the food was outstanding. Prices were a bit too high for portion size (2 small squares of cheese shouldn't be $12). I'll definitely go back for very special occasions.4/23/2013 12:00:00 AMBesides the food being amazing,Besides the food being amazing, I have never been in a restaurant where ALL the staff members were genuinely friendly, perfectly attentive and observant when to be of service. I had the best experience at your restaurant! Thank you to the owners for creating a truly magical evening.4/23/2013 12:00:00 AMExceptional dinner, reallyExceptional dinner, really outstanding meal. Great decor and the service was excellent.4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMFood and service was great!Food and service was great! Very loud so don't expect to have an intimate date or conversation.4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMDeserves another try...Food was "interesting". Brunch = French Toast SOAKED in too much sweetness. Bacon was excellent, but swimming in maple sugar/syrup. Sausage good. Eggs Benedict was decadent, but arrived well before everything else -not at it's peak as an appetizer.
Caprese sandwich was good. Egg Frittata way too salty. Bloody Mary was the best EVER.
Will give it another shot; judging by the crowds, the four of us must be in the minority.4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMIncredible food. Great service.Incredible food. Great service. The best I've been to in ages!Highly recommend.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat atmosphere and fullGreat atmosphere and full of happy diners! I was meeting a friend here for dinner on a Wednesday night, and they were 30 minutes late in seating us for our reservation and we were started to get irritated. To apologize, the manager brought over two glasses of Prosecco and a complimentary serving of their amazingg Bacon Cheddar Buttermilk Biscuits w/ Maple Butter. Our waitress was equally apologetic and provided us tremendous service throughout the entire meal and was attentive and helpful. Truly classy! FANTASTIC food.4/10/2013 12:00:00 AMHighly recommended. Favorite restauAMAZING! One of my all time favorite restaurants hands down. I spent my birthday dinner here, and couldn't have picked a better place! Must try the cheddar bacon biscuits, the kale & quinoa, the tender skirt steak, and the yellow tail with smashed cauliflower.4/4/2013 12:00:00 AMBlown AwayGreat cocktails and some of the best service/advice I've ever experienced.4/2/2013 12:00:00 AMEverything is well seasonedEverything is well seasoned and flavorful. The combinations of ingredients within each small plate of food worked. The service kept the dishes flowing so that as we finished one dish, the next was on our table. The plates are small and reasonably priced so the diner has the opportunity to taste a few dishes without breaking the bank.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMTeddybMy date and I had a wonderful time. The hostess was awesome and very accommodating . She was able to get us seated early and sent us a text when the table was ready so we took advantage of having a drink at strand house.3/28/2013 12:00:00 AMHint: Go as late as possibleHint: Go as late as possible when the noise level is lower. Weekdays are better as weekends are jammed. A reservation is a must as 40% of the tables are held for the walkin patrons. Valet park or be ready to hike the hills of MB, it's street parking, public parking is up and down by meter only. The foodies won't be disappointed.3/28/2013 12:00:00 AMKnowledgeable waitstaff andKnowledgeable waitstaff and unique quirky takes on some classic dishes.3/25/2013 12:00:00 AMI love Manhattan Beach Post.I love Manhattan Beach Post. I only wish there were more like it in the South Bay.3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMOutstanding place to for anyoneOutstanding place to for anyone who can appreciate the value of well prepared food and its ingredients. Loved the bacon cheese biscuits with that delectible maple butter and Brussels sprouts. Unique ambience! Was a little confused about the cured meat options and ordered specialty pork, thinking it would be roasted/cooked, but was instead cut bc bein cured. I should not have assumed. Those 10 thin slices were a mighty spendy mistake.
I will come back if am in the area again.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMI took my boyfriend to MBI took my boyfriend to MB Post for his birthday. We decided to try only items we hadn't before. I was surprised to find that I liked the naan bread more than their bacon buttermilk biscuits. The duck meatballs were heavenly and the Moroccan lamb was outstanding. I normally don't like green beans but I scooped up the green beans with pork belly bits like it was candy - it was seasoned perfectly. We ate way too much. At the end of the night, they brought out a complimentary dessert for my boyfriend for his birthday - the perfect end to a perfect meal!3/14/2013 12:00:00 AMIt Starts With the Biscuits"Incredible! Covers the culinary gamut. The bacon cheddar biscuits are famous and deservedly so. Perfect texture. The crisp bacon on the bottom sets off the creaminess of the inside. Steamed mussels with a southeast Asian touch were terrific. Ordered a bunch of different plates and each was great. Cool list of original cocktails. Wine list looked solid. On the louder side but with a great vibe about it. Highly recommended!3/12/2013 12:00:00 AMI rarely take the opportunityI rarely take the opportunity to write a review but my daughter and I had such an incredible wonderful dining experience at this restaurant that I felt I needed to let you know how absolutely fabulous we found this place . The menu was a delight to study and choose from , the service was just the way it should be , knowledgeable but not know-at-all , the food was delicious and the whole experience was exactly what we hope to get from an evening out . I am sad I live so far away....3/12/2013 12:00:00 AMWe ordered the cheddar baconWe ordered the cheddar bacon biscuits, bacon, eggs Benedict, and breakfast chimichanga. All were so so delicious!!!! The staff is gracious, warm and welcoming. We were late for our reservation due to traffic. When we arrived we were welcomed and shown to a table right away. This restaurant is not to be missed!!2/28/2013 12:00:00 AMReally enjoyed the potReally enjoyed the pot pie. Great spaghetti squash, farro and the Brussels sprouts.2/2/2013 12:00:00 AMA fun restaurant in whichA fun restaurant in which to dine and have fun. I love MP Post!! The food is excellent and everyone is so nice and friendly!!!1/20/2013 12:00:00 AMSunday BrunchWe went there for brunch and the waiter said that the menu items were tapas style (small plates) so we ordered several dishes to share thinking they would be small -- the portions were larger than we expected so we ended up taking some food home. My favorites: the bacon cheddar buttermilk biscuits and the coffee (will go back specifically for these because they are that good!). The sticky buns were also very good (and sticky). Corned beef hash and the frittata (super-filling) were ok. The restaurant is in a space that used to be an old post office, hence the name. Comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. Best to make reservations a few days in advance to ensure getting a table for Sunday brunch.1/13/2013 12:00:00 AM
