  • "MB Post does not disappoint. Been here several times and the food and service is always superb. The lamb belly, rib-eye, kale salad, brussel sprouts and of course, my FAVORITE...bacon cheddar biscuits! To die for. It was my birthday so they comped a delicious chocolate tart. A great night as always. I will ALWAYS come back!"

  • "I had an amazing experience at Manhattan Beach Post. The server was helpful and very friendly, coming by every now and then to check and make sure we were okay. The chef pulled the dish we wanted from the menu but we were recommended another item that did not disappoint. I highly recommend reservations on busy weekends. The crowd waiting to be seated was overwhelming, but having a table reserved meant that we were expected and ready to go."

  • "This has become one of my favorite restaurants in Manhattan Beach even though it is hard to really have a conversation due to the noise level. The must for every visit include bacon-cheese biscuits, Brussels sprouts and the blistering green beans. They have an excellent variety of meat dishes and this time we had the rib-eye, lamb belly, and off the added items, chicken meatballs and chicken thighs with hush puppies. All delicious and different! My favorite was probably the lamb belly which is much leaner than pork belly. This was another excellent meal at MB Post."

  • "Excellent food and delish cocktails as usual. Super attentive server."

  • "This is a place for a foodie with a big wallet. :) The tapas are small portioned so if you are up for trying different food and paying for it, then this is for you. Or, you can go with a group of friends, order different things and share the cost. Overall, the food and service was good, but personally I am glad I went here when I wasn't too hungry. Otherwise, I would have been very unsatisfied with the portions. It also seemed like their handmade cocktails and drinks were good. I would like to go back with a different group to try drinks and other food on the menu. Their menu changes every month (if not week) and that is very refreshing. Parking was a bit of a challenge, but it's near Manhattan Beach, so you would expect that."

  • "i think that the food is very tasty. love the bisquits. i think the bar gets backed up or the server can't go over to the bar often enough because my drink (martini) wasnt cold and there was a little wait to get our drinks. but i have never waited for more than a couple of minutes to get my table even on a busy night. MB Post understands how to book and not overbook tables. it makes me feel like they know my time is important too"

  • "Innovative food but very loud music detracts from your meal. Our throats were sore from shouting after the main course, skipped dessert and fled."

  • "Our meal was amazing! The place was packed and very noisy but it didn't ruin the meal for us. Highly recommend!"

  • "I enjoy amazing food and a new atmosphere, but wasn't impressed with MBP. We had: Bacon cheddar biscuits- very good, comes with sweetened butter. Nothing too out of the ordinary for a biscuit. Bacon- standard smoky bacon drizzled with maple syrup. Sausage- not my kind of sausage, may have been too much seasoning. Fritatta- there was no potato in it and seemed very one dimensional. Stone fruit salad- the longer it sat the better it was. Stuffed French toast was great to end, but tiny for the price! The ambience was very crowded and loud, not great for real conversation with family or friends. My husband and I decided it was great to try once, but won't be back. It's expensive for what you get and the food simply wasn't excellent."

  • "One of my favorite restaurants in MB. From the superb wine list to the hand written added daily specials - this is always the first restaurant I check for availability. Love the staff as well- great customer service. Highly recommend."

  • "You basically can't go wrong with anything you order. The cheddar bacon buttermilk biscuits should be avoided at all costs if you have ANY desire to enjoy lots of dishes. They fill you up and leave little room for many better items. Pork belly, Mac and Cheese, Sword Squid, Brussels Sprouts, Charcuterie, it's all wonderful and nicely presented. If you're sitting at a 4-top table, order a few things at a time or you'll quickly run out of room."

  • "Delicious food with captivating takes and play with seasonings and spices to bring great new flavors together across the menu. I brought colleagues to introduce them to the restaurant and they left very happy. We had the opportunity to sample across a variety entrees and one was better than the other if that was even possible. Deep flavored, perfectly balanced."

  • "This place is great! The food was really unique (but not weird) and had some really interesting combinations of tastes. We chose the tapas-style menu where you could get smaller portions of more dishes. I love that!!!! Service was quick and attentive. Overall, a really great place - we'll be back SOON!"

  • "I'm your typical foodie. Making my itinerary way in advance. 95% of the time I'm on the money. Was so hard deciding on Brunch or Dinner here both got amazing reviews. Location and timing only made this place available to us in the morning. Sweet Jesus it was remarkable. Thanks to Joseph our server !"

  • "Totally worth the horrendous parking on a Saturday afternoon. Food was so tasty (those biscuits more than lived up to the hype! SO GOOD), drinks were delicious and service was on-point and friendly. Will definitely be back next time i'm in MB!"

  • "The food at MB Post has always gotten 5 stars from me. I love the creative menu and small-plate sharing concept. My most recent visit for Saturday brunch was a bit disappointing. As usual, the bacon and cheddar biscuits were yummy. So was the corned beef cheek hash. Still, this visit was disappointing. The place was hopping, but that's no excuse for having to wait 15 minutes for coffee, and then no refill! The noise level is incredible. Is it really necessary to have the boom-box type music pounding our ears? Next time I may get carry-out biscuits and a Starbucks to take down to the beach for a peacful and relaxing brunch. No that parking in MB is a real challenge. Get there early!"

  • "I've been to MB Post several times for brunch and dinner and it never disappoints. I recently made reservations for my parents anniversary and accidentally selected it for 2 instead of 4. Even though they were fully booked they not only graciously accommodated us when I explained what happened but brought a sticky bun with a candle in it to my parents for their anniversary! The cheddar biscuits are amazing and the Benedict with prosciutto is my all time favorite. We had a fantastic meal and the service was great!"

  • "I am an old fashioned epicure, and do not especially like small portions doled out at $15 to $18 per item to make it look as though the pricing is reasonable - which is not the case - and I do not like to call a one finger drink a cocktail, which the restaurant insists on calling the drinks on the menu. For some reason there is not a lot of selection as far as basic fare goes - and it is difficult to put together a decent meal with poultry and carbs and baked bread. Glad I brought a wine bottle to drink or the evening would have been a complete washout. No lamb on the menu but lamb belly, not keen to eat like the Chinese who eat every part."

  • "We made the trek from Pasadena to Manhattan Beach and it was worth every minute on the freeway. Must haves include the bacon, cheddar and buttermilk biscuits, brussel sprouts, sea bass and flank steak. Great beers on tap as well as a nice wine list."

  • "I was visiting from the napa valley with friends and I had heard that Post was a great restaurant. I wasn't disappointed. To start , I love the decor.. They've done a fabulous job with great attention to detail. loved the ambiance and great energy. Our server, Rachel , was terrific. She gave good recommendations and we liked every dish. The service was top notch and it was a busy evening. One of the best meals I've had in a long time, and I live in an area known for great restaurants! Post also has an impressive wine list"

  • "Their fruit salad was outstanding, however the eggs benedict and steak and eggs were not as impressive and rather too rich. I think the bacon cheddar biscuit they used for the benedict didn't add much to the dish - it crumbled as soon as I tried to grab it with a fork. Messy to eat, too rich for sure. The steak and eggs dish was too burnt. "

  • "Great food and service. Nice atmosphere. The sea bass was excellent as were the biscuits. Service was very good EXCEPT, at about 1020 (our reservation was at 9 on Sunday night). The staff inexplicably started cleaning the restaurant and removed all the candles from the tables, including ours where we were still eating. It gave us the "Time to go- we really dont want to be here anymore" feeling that really put a damper on the evening. The server did not indicate to us that last call was happening for at least 20 minutes after this rude occurrence, so I cannot explain why a nice place like this would be in a hurry to do that. The assembled candles (in mason jars) sat, still burning, on a table by the kitchen for another 30 minutes."

  • "Everything was great, deffinitely a must experience. The only thing is be prepared to spend a bit of money on what are largely plates to share."

  • "While the ambience of the restaurant is great, we made reservations for 9pm on Thursday but did not end up getting seated until 9:20. Because my friends have never been to MB Post, the server suggested that we each order 3 dishes because the "portions were small" and 3 dishes per person would be just right. That's absolutely false. The restaurant's main entrees/dishes are reasonable in size and one dish per person should suffice. Although the food was good, we didn't appreciate the server trying to get us to order more than necessary nor did we like the fact that even with reservations, we were still not seated on time. The one redeeming quality is that the food is great and I'd recommend going there for brunch - definitely not dinner."

  • "Best brussel sprouts ever! (And in general, I'm not a fan. But these were seasoned, a little crunchy on the edges, very tasty.) Our group of four shared dishes, including a 'make us a tray of cheeses while we decide,' sampler that came with excellent and unusual cheeses, crisp breads, mustard and other condiments, a sliced supple cut of Rib Eye, a pretty good kale salad (as good as kale gets, I think). Reservations are a must. We checked online a day ahead and only seatings before 6 and after 9 were left. The bar was packed as well. Place was a little noisy, but definitely energized. Wait staff was wonderful. Wine was pricey, but corkage was reasonable at $15. We'll go back for sure. "

  • "Everyone in our party, from a nine years to sixty plus, loved sharing all of the small plates with the varied taste treats. The fries were memorable (crunchy outside, fluffy inside), as were the kale salad, fried chicken, and fish. All of dishes had well balanced flavors. We definitely will return."
