MamnoonGreat experienceOverall the place was great and the food was delicious. Our bread basket took a long time getting to the table, but the rest of the service was great. Will definitely be back.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMBest Lebanese RestuarantThis was one of the best Lebanese restaurants I have been to in a while. I have had my share of authentic Lebanon fare and this was fabulous. My favorite dish was the Kibbeh and Fried Cauliflower. I cannot wait to go back and share the experience with my friends.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent Mediterranean CuisineThe food was amazing as was the wine (try the stuffed fish). Our server seemed annoyed and impatient. Noise level is quite high given the interior design. It is a beautiful space and we'll be returning again soon.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMBrunch was AMAZING!Tried dinner here and it was good. Brunch was even better.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMTasty but priceyAmbiance is amazing and service was attentive and well informed. The food was fresh and distinctive yet small portioned. The tabbouleh offered a scant 1/2 cup and 3 small leaves of hearts of romain for $12. It was enough for two people to enjoy 2-3 small bites but for a table of 3 or more you would have to double order on all items. A unique dining experience for special occasion but a bit pricey overall.5/7/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing night! We loved this restaurant, the ambiance and the food. This was the best middle-eastern food in Seattle. Everything was fresh and tasty. Will definitely go back.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMFun Birthday DinnerTried Mamnoon on recommendation for a friend's birthday. Highly enjoyed prompt and helpful service. All staff were gracious and welcoming, and our server went above and beyond to suggest menu items based on our preferences. Wonderful dining experience.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious addition to Cap HillMamnoon is a delicious and cultural addition to Cap Hill and Seattle's food scene. Rivals Shanik for ethnic, spiced fare. Order lots of starters, especially the fried cauliflower and the okra. Everything we had was excellent and we can't wait to return and order a whole different set of menu items!
They have a great wine list including a rare and delicious Lebanese label, Chateau Musar.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent service and food!
IExcellent service and food!
I can't wait to go back again.
We are so lucky to have this sort of restaurant in Seattle.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMService needs workThis was my third or fourth time dining at Mamnoon and, while there have been definite improvements since opening weekend, the service could still use polish. It took a very long time for our server to greet us and take our drink orders after we sat down. Likewise, we had a hard time getting bread refills throughout the meal, especially annoying given that we had 3 bread-dipping items on our table. All that said, the food was fantastic and we were very happy with our meal.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat for Lebanese & Syrian FoodI have enjoyed Lebanese food on the East coast but never found a place in Seattle that beckoned me. True I have not ventured to Cafe Munir that serves the same kind of cuisine. The meal began with a dish of za' atar and 2 kinds of bread, gratis. We enjoyed 3 small plate starters of a bread baked with a tomato sauce on top, cauliflower adorned with exotic spices and kibbeh of beef with a tahini sauce. We chose an entree of flat iron steak with a mid eastern spice rub with fragrant basmati rice that was $42 but serves 2. The server was attentive although late in bringing a second glass of win. Altogether it was an excellent dining experience with food outside the Seattle norm of Italian and seafood. I highly recommend Mamnoon.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMSurprise Birthday SuccessI think this place is ideal for groups that do not mind shelling out a decent amount of money for a night out (60-100 per person depending how much you drink). All of the dishes we were served were really delicious and easily shareable. The service was also top notch. We were there for a birthday party and they were very flexible to accommodate our birthday wishes (hidden table for a surprise, candle in piece of cake, singing, and latecomers to the party). I do not eat Syrian/Lebanese food often, so perhaps I'm easily pleased, but everyone in the group seemed to agree the food was great.4/30/2013 12:00:00 AMMouhallabiaI have been to Mamnoon many times before and I always enjoy it. I also enjoyed it this time. The only criticism that I have was the dessert. My favorite dessert is the mouhallabia. It is always so light and airy as well as being delicious. In the past we have had to wait a little bit for it to be brought to our table. Nothing very long but just the normal amount of wait time for a dessert. But not this time: it was brought to the table immediately and it was not light and airy. Usually it comes up to the top of the cup. This time, it barely filled half the cup and was fairly dense as well as being cold. Obviously it had been made hours in advance and then put in the refrigerator. I knew the difference and found it disappointing4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMWhen visiting Mamnoon, oneWhen visiting Mamnoon, one feels transported to a different part if the world by the ingredients in the chefs dishes. Everything is fresh and if high quality. They have the best hummus in Seattle!4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMThe lunch was fabulous. BoldThe lunch was fabulous. Bold flavors, but prepared with a subtle hand. Refine, fresh, great service! Discovering new great dishes every time! Love it4/23/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had heard it was a niceWe had heard it was a nice place, but what a wonderful surprise. Once you find parking, it's all good. Everything that came to the table was a total delight! Seattle needed a place like this - the restaurant draws from a cultural cuisine and the flavors and use of spices was delicious. We all said we would be back again because we wanted to try other menu items. Always a good sign. Kudos to the conversion of the space. Was not expecting the size of it based on street view. Staff was EVERYWHERE and service was superb without being on top of you all the time. Highly recommend!4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMMamnoon is wonderfully delightful!Adjust your expectations that food will come in a non-hurried way that doesn't conform to our normal drinks/appetizer/entree experience. There was no pressure to hurry us out the door so this is a place to take your time and savor. Service was friendly and attentive and the food was healthy, delicious, and worthy of taking your time. We have already raved to our friends. Fried cauliflower was off the charts!4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing FoodThe food is so fresh, authentic and amazing! The freshly baked breads and gluten free crackers are to die for. I crave the food and dine at Mamnoon at least twice a month. Can't get enough!4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMNuts to bolts fabulous, we'llNuts to bolts fabulous, we'll definitely be back - a lot. So nice to find restaurant with unique food, well done, in Seattle.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing Food! The food at Mamnoon is exceptional! Every dish we ordered, from the appetizer to the delicate milk pudding dessert had the most amazing flavors. Our waiter was a delight, offering recommendations and attentively checking back to be sure we were satisfied with our meal. The decor is interesting and vibrant. We can't wait to return and bring family members who would appreciate these exotic dishes.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMFancy Lunch DateVery nice lunch menu with a variety of dishes for sharing or enjoying alone. The baba ghanoush was smoky and smooth; the kefta arayess (grilled sandwich with beef, parsley, and Aleppo chili) was crunchy and flavorful. The quinoa tabbouleh was slightly off--under seasoned and with too much minced parsley.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMI found Mamnoon to be a tasteI found Mamnoon to be a taste sensation. Each and every dish I had was beautiful. The service was great, helpful and fast. We stayed for quite awhile and felt no pressure to leave. What a wonderful experience. Can't wait to go back!4/17/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had a great time at thisWe had a great time at this restaurant. The ambiance/space is great - as is the food and service. There was a group of 4 of us, so we taste-tested a bunch of the items - hummus, beets, etc... Then shared several entrees - the chicken, lamb and beef... and all was really delicious! I don't typically like lamb, but it was the best lamb I've ever had. We had a very enjoyable experience and will definitely be going back!4/16/2013 12:00:00 AMMammon is truly a gem. TheMammon is truly a gem. The food is beautifully presented, with flavors that are unique and sensually harmonious.
My friends and I can't wait to return!4/16/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious food, sexy atmosphere!Outstanding experience - food and service - all done with great care and attention to detail. My favorite restaurant for eating well and being cared for.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was our first time and,This was our first time and, although we had heard great things and had high expectations, we were not disappointed in the least. We ordered two mezzas (beet dish and an eggplant with lamb dish) along with the lamb shank "oven" dish. All three were excellent, and the amount of food was perfect for the two of us. The only thing we could not rave about was our server. He seemed a bit inexperienced; rather than ask about our experience in dining at a similar establishment (Lebanese, serves mezzas, plates for sharing, etc.), he treated us as if by not ever eating at Mamnoon meant we were foreign to the whole concept. Minor complaint though. Food was brought out in a timely manner and everyone was polite. Would definitely return.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMWe knew that this was theWe knew that this was the new hot spot, so we were patient when they were not able to seat us for our 8:30 reservation. And while we didn't get seated until 9pm, the host bought us a round of drinks and had the manager bring us an appetizer. Food was wonderful, service was good, environment is noisy so it's hard to hear anyone that is not right next to you. Beautifully decorated restaurant. We will go back.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMOutstanding food, service,Outstanding food, service, imagination, ambiance, and scene. Masterfully done in every respect.4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful, but spendy. The food, service, and ambiance is spectacular. I wish the entrees were less expensive.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food and excellent service,Great food and excellent service, but dimly lit in far room in which we sat, and very difficult to hear (the waitress had to tell the specifics to just one member of our group; the rest of us couldn't hear her).4/3/2013 12:00:00 AMService/Bar improvements neededOur individual server was awkward and rushed. She said all the right words but they seemed extremely scripted and somewhat insincere. Other staff (bussers, hostess) all seemed very efficient and appropriately friendly. The pacing of my meal was what lessened my enjoyment. We ordered cocktails that took about 20-30 minutes to arrive--in the meantime bread was served (with water). When our plates arrived they were parsed out individually and did not arrive together. The quality of the flavors were exceptional and the portions were indeed perfect for sharing small plates. Fast forward to our cocktails...when the thimbles arrived my drink was on the rocks with a bit ugly orange wedge on the edge. I recommend that the bartender intern at Zoe.4/2/2013 12:00:00 AMI love this place.. Been thereI love this place.. Been there 3 times in the last 10 days and will def visit again..3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMNice to try a restaurant thatNice to try a restaurant that lives up to its hype. Really interesting food but accessible. Staff is friendly, very helpful in explaining ingredients. And while we thought the cocktails were a little expensive, the combination's were creative AND delicious, i,e; bourbon, fig and walnut? Ya gotta try it, it's perfect with the food.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food/ great staffI really like this restaurant. This was our 3rd time back and each time the wait staff has recommended a dish that we have loved- this time it was the charred eggplant. The only suggestion would be to better explain to the customer all the bread options on the menu or verbally. As we were leaving I heard the next table ask for gluten free options- I had no idea after 3 visits that they were an option.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMGo with several people andGo with several people and share ,everything is delicious3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMI have eaten at Mamnoon aI have eaten at Mamnoon a number of times and it is consistently a great experience. I love the choice of small dishes and the beer/wine/cocktail list as it is not over whelming.
The Orange Blossom Water that is delivered with the check is a great ending to a wonderful experience.3/26/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat for lunchDeliciously different and very reasonably priced. It was a great lunch experience with thoughtful, attentive service and marvelous food.3/19/2013 12:00:00 AMOutstanding food, orderedOutstanding food, ordered seconds of a few dishes, nice vibe, server was outstanding, his support staff was right on top of things with refreshes on water, bread, etc. and some really interesting wine choices. This is a must for any Seattle foodie.3/17/2013 12:00:00 AMWe thoroughly enjoyed ourWe thoroughly enjoyed our first experience at Mamnoon. We heard lots of positive reviews from friends and were not disappointed. Our server walked us through the menu without making us feel like idiots. Her recommendations were terrific. We were just in the mood for a light meal and appreciated We can't wait to come back and try the more substantial fare. The airy pitas were a high point.3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMVibrant flavors abound! You may think you know middle eastern food - think again. The food and drink are characterized by layers of aromatics that will surprise and delight. The grated beets (shamandar bi tahini) are exquisite, and the fried cauliflower (arnabeit makli) is addictive. We also had bateresh (creamy charred eggplant topped with seasoned lamb) and lahm bi ajine (flatbread wrapped around minced lamb, onion, garlic, aleppo chili, parsley) - all wonderful, but sadly, no room for dessert. We'll have to go back and try again...3/12/2013 12:00:00 AMthe food was very differentthe food was very different and good. the service was excellent3/12/2013 12:00:00 AM
