A word from Mama's Fish House

Mama's Fish House is actually a converted beach house in a coconut grove on a secluded white sand beach. Inside, hinged windows open to let in the trade winds and Polynesian artifacts and original oil paintings decorate tropical hardwood walls. The rooms are filled with spectacular flower… arrangements and tapa print cloths cover the tables. Outdoor dining is equally exciting, and everyone enjoys watching the windsurfers performing offshore.Continued

"We cannot see any justification for the prices. Salads, & dessert were good, the entrees left us wondering about the rave reviews. Our waiter was totally unanimated - and most of the other wait staff had long faces and looked like they would rather be somewhere else. The setting and view are terrific."

"Excellent food! The fresh fish was well prepared, the fresh vegetables WEREfresh and prepared al dente! Highly recommend for lunch, food was equal to dinner and the view is fabulous!"

"Mama's was wonderful, as usual. The food was really great and the service was excellent. We were treated to a visit from a Hawaiian Monk Seal during our visit. It came up on the beach in front of the restaurant, which was a rare site."

"By far one of the best places I have eaten -ever! Our sons 12 & 9 wanted to go back every day. Even more spectacular was the visit by an endangered monk seal to the beach just beyond our table."
