Malones RestaurantSo wonderful!I was so pleasantly surprised by my first dining experience at Malone's. We gathered for an early Mother's Day dinner on a Friday evening and it couldn't have gone better than starting the festivities off here. All of the staff were very friendly and attentive... the interior is beautiful, contemporary but still warm and inviting... and the food is divine! We took turns swapping bites of steaks and veggies (I ordered the Red Wine Flatiron Steak, with whipped potatoes and kale--highly, highly recommended!) and topped it off with coffee and cheesecake. Couldn't say that there was a bad bite at the table. Bravo to Malone's for an incredible evening!5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat New Find!Malones recently opened in Old Town Manassas in the unique old church building. The transformation from the previous restaurant is amazing! It is open and bright and the wood bar adds a wonderful warmth. The attention to detail is spot on. I look forward to seeing what they do with the upstairs. The food was absolutely wonderful! We had dinner on a Saturday evening and brunch on Sunday morning. The food did not disappoint. If I had any complaint, and I really don't, it would be that they need to refine their service. The service was good but it's that added little attention to details that can make all the difference. For example, when asking a question the server needed to check but then never got back to us with the answer.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMUnique local restaurantFood was very good, but not really a good choice for an anniversary dinner. Happy hour was still ongoing and the noise level was such we could hardly hear each other. This along with the brilliant sunshine coming through the window, although pleasant to have the sunshine, made the atmosphere less than ideal. Perhaps the table arrangement could be adjusted to avoid this or a blind on the front window. We could have also dined later in the evening and perhaps the atmosphere would have been different. Even though the bar had charged for a full bottle of wine, when only a glass was ordered, the waitress corrected immediately. All in all, based on the food we will try again at this local gem.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food / waited 20 minutesGreat food / waited 20 minutes w reservation.. They have done a great job with the remodel. A little bit loud with a full dinning room. We Would go back. Owner is personable.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had dinner here recentlyWe had dinner here recently and were very happy with everything! The bar staff, wait staff, and hostesses were delightfully friendly and the chef came out to greet people at the bar while we were having a drink. Great neighborhood spot. I would definitely recommend Malones.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMA wonderful sophisticatedA wonderful sophisticated uptown find. A bit noisy..difficult to hear my husband across the table but great ambiance. Helpful waiters and personal assistance
from Kevin in choosing an appropriate wine, chatting with friends at a nearby table, all made for a very special evening.

We had a wonderful dining experience and will definitely return the next time we are in Manassas visiting our daughter and her husband!!!4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMNice place for a date nightNice place for a date night without driving into the city.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMFirst Time at MalonesThe appetizers and "Special" seafood crepes, as was the Shrimp and grits, were highly rated. My rare rib-eye was medium to medium well. We never got our dessert but the owner and Chef both came to the table to apologized and gave us a gift certificate.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMThe menu was nice with a goodThe menu was nice with a good variety of entre's and specias of the day. Service wss good, the owner manager stopped by our table to chat and check on the food and service. This restaurant is good with the potential to be great. We will go back to try more on the menu. Portions are large enough that my wife and I split two appetizers (shrimp and grits are a must try!), split a fresh salad and couldn't finish our entre's. They were great the next day for lunch.4/1/2013 12:00:00 AMIf you are in Manassas, youIf you are in Manassas, you need to stop by. New restaurant in an old church. We loved it!3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent BrunchThis was the first time my husband and I dined at Malones for brunch. It was outstanding. The food was absolutely delicious. The portions are huge and very reasonably priced based on how much you get. My husband got the french toast and I got the blueberry pancakes. Presentation of the food is amazing as well. We will definitely go back for brunch. We will also be dining for dinner soon so will let you know how it goes.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMI would recommend Malone'sI would recommend Malone's to anyone that needed a great place to eat!!!3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMFinallyMy husband is a executive chef and has been in the food business over 30 years. This is our 3rd time back in 6 weeks. It is always consistent and delicious. Manassas needs more restaurants like this, finally!3/25/2013 12:00:00 AMGood Place to Check ZoutWent to Malones for my moms bday. Atmosphere is very nice. A bit pricey but the food was good. The salad was good but I would not recommend it for your main course, there's not a lot too it. The Pinot noir was good $8 a glass. All in all a good dining experience. The two of us paid $120 for dinner which included 20 percent tip. Service was excellent. I am waiting for the upstairs 40 seat pub to open.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMMalone's was a new experienceMalone's was a new experience for us. We were celebrating my wife's birthday and wanted a special dining experience. Also wanted to try somewhere new. Had reviewed the menu and thought it was right for us. The experience didn't disappoint. Nicely appointed and good ambience. Very comfortable seating. Service had just the right amount of attention, not intrusive. Food was outstanding. I would highly recommend the crab-stuffed trout. Sweet and sour kale was a new experience and one that we both enjoyed.3/19/2013 12:00:00 AMYou have to try Malone's!Being a Southern girl, I tried the grits with seared scallops - A real winner! The grits were very creamy, scallops large and perfectly prepared. On another occasion I had the filet which was so tender you could cut it with a fork. The "GOTTA TRY" side dish is sweet & sour kale. I never liked kale but Malone's' Chef will make a hater love it! Two in our party had shrimp scampi and said the shrimp were very tender and the sauce very light and tasty. The Happy Hour bar menu has something for every palate. The staff is attentive and very friendly but not overpowering. We will definitely return because the food is great, ambience relaxing, and they made us feel like they really appreciated we were there.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMMalone's is an excellent restaurantMalone's is an excellent restaurant and is a great place to join your friends.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent! The ambiance and general feel of Malone's was relaxed, elegant and inviting. Our server was attentive, funny and overall extremely pleasant. Four of us ordered the 8oz Filet - and each steak was cooked perfectly - (that hasn't happened for me in a long time)! Let's not forget a very delicious blueberry martini which one from our party had to have two of. Great place and will be going again and bringing others to experience.3/11/2013 12:00:00 AM
