"We live on Kauai and have dined at this restaurant several times before and have had great food and service. Unfortunately, this time was a horrible experience. The service was slow and unattentive and numerous mistakes were made throughout our dinner. The menu on line did not match the restaurant and the restaurant menu selections were poor. We ordered Ahi and it arrived as a small piece on a large plate with poor presentation and a separate cup of french fries for $41. The Ahi had no flavor and was tough. The waiter acknowledged current issues at the restaurant and said to call before our next visit to verify the menu as it was being changed due to complaints. For a high end restaurant we expect better quality, service and presentation!"

"Went on the night they have there Buffet and Mailani show. The show was very entertaining and well done. The food was marginal at best, the pork was salty, never had ribs cut so thin the verity of food on the buffet was not very good."

"great view and spot for outside dinning. Inside Air con is cold. Fish was over cooked. This was a great place for lunch, but now dinner only. The view is fabulous for day, but at night can't see it."

"Food was excellent!!! Chef(s)really out did themselves.

Service was no good tho. We did the tasting and food took long time to come out. Also at other tastings the servers are to explain what we were eating. Here they didn't seem to have a clue or just didn't care. Nothing was explaioned except for the dessert and even then he gave us the wrong explination."

"Sunday brunch at Makana Terrace is a memorable experience. The food selections are outstanding, and all delicious. One of us is handicapped so that buffets are usually difficult. The food stations here are widely spaced so that may be approached with a wheelchair. Our server was extremely pleasant and concerned that we have a very pleasant dining experience, but did forget to refresh our table (silverware, etc.) on two occasions. Otherwise our brunch was near perfect."
