  • "We had Easter brunch at Majolica. There was a selection of creative and interesting dishes. I had the omelet, while my wife had the short ribs and our friend the char. The food was very good, the portions were a bit small. The service was very friendly, but it was a long wait between courses. i imagine it was because it was crowded at Easter. Overall, a good experience."

  • "It has been awhile since we have eaten at Majolica and I wonder why. The food is the best in the suburbs. We ordered the 6 course tasting and each course was beautifully presented and delicious. I don't usually eat bread not wanting to fill up on carbs however, I needed it to clean my plate after each course it was so delicious. The perfectly poached egg with shaved asparagus and truffle butter, the spring pea soup with crab and dill, scallop carpacio (perfectly seasoned and broiled slightly) with a citrus salad and avocado, pappardelle with tuna and lemon, dorado with braised cippolini and finally corn fritters and maple syrup (with delicious sweet corn kernels). Inventive, gorgeous and delicious. "

  • "Our dining experience at Majolica was sublime. We enjoyed the Chef's Tasting and our palates exploded with excellent and diverse tastes. We were served one amazing dish after another, and each was plated very well. It is very hard to pick a favorite dish, however the Char with citrus and fennel salad was amazing, then the duck was the best I've ever had. . . The service was wonderful. We are bringing friends next time and also enjoying the wines from next door at the winery store. A WOW experience, best in Phoenixville, and whole area. "

  • "Must try the 8 course tasting menu! Great way to sample a variety of their menu items that you might not normally try. The cold pea soup was outstanding- so bright and fresh! Frogs legs and sweetbreads, dishes you might not normally try, were the stars of the show! Amazing cucumber sorbet as a palate cleanser as well. And don't forget the freshly made doughnuts and cardamom pots de creme for dessert! So lucky this restaurant is five minutes from my house. Don't forget to bring that nice bottle of wine you've been saving."

  • "Our party of 4 tried the tasting menu. Food was fantastic. Octopus is the best I've had in the Philly area by far and the Earl Grey sorbet was a great way to end the meal. Service was a little slow taking (45 minutes before our order was taken), but since we were catching up with friends from out-of-town it was okay. The food service once our order was placed was good."

  • "Wow....what a nice surprise! My wife and I eaten at Majolica over a year ago and had a nice meal but nothing extremely memorable. On Friday we dined there again with two other couples and had an OUTSTANDING meal! Wonderful and variable selections on the menu----so many so that our group had difficulty deciding. Everyone ordered something different and we shared tastes-----each entree was better than the other and the starters were also incredible. Definitely now on my list of favorites-----this one holds its own with the best of NY or Philly restaurants. Something's changed here and its all GOOD!"

  • "I came to Majolica for a date night with my boyfriend. I came in after hearing how great the place was from a friend. We did the six course tasting which was out of this world. I love doing chef tastings and this was no exception. The six course ended up being a ten course with the teasers they give you in between. I love that!! What a great place to have a truly good meal and enjoy the company you keep."

The flavors, presentation and service were impeccable. I can say enough about the food because words are nearly impossible to describe the delicious wonder.   • "It takes a lot for me to criticize service, and it wasn't the waiters fault. However, we were seated a half hour after our reservations, while tables were clearly available. And an hour after being seated we still did not have our entrees. We did have the pork and scallop appetizer which was great, but we left after waiting 45 between our app and entrees. So by that point, it was an hour and a half after our reservation and we hadn't eaten, in a half full restaurant."

  • "I would have to say this is one of the poorer meals and experiences we had. Appetizers were fine. The wait for our main courses was excruciatingly long. When the meals finally did arrive, both were total disappointments. I ordered the short ribs. The top was burned to a crisp, while the rest of the meat was still somewhat tough. My wife ordered the swordfish, which was cut down the center before it arrived to test the temperature, which isnt something I would expect at a restaurant. In addition, the fried fingerlings were dumped on the plate and most were burned. Our server noticed neither of us ate our meal, but didnt ask if there were any problems and simply took the plates. I would recommend not to waste your time here."

  • "server steered my wife to the pork, it was served 1/2 raw, she could not eat, i had tuna that was dry. We did not get proper glasses for wine like other guests. the escargot was dry and salty. for all its reputation it was a bust. we will not return nor reccommend. ps: they did nothing to over come our disappointment, except remove the uneaten pork from the bill."

It became next to impossible to hear above the din of the larger party seated near us. The food was wonderful, service impeccable.......too bad we will probably not return because we cherish atmospheres where we can converse with friends without yelling. Perhaps the seating toward the back of the restaurant may have been better."

  • "After a very long time, we finally got to Mojolica for dinner. Menu offers quite a selection of items not found on most restaurants. Everything was very tasty and prices were as expected for this type of venue. Only disappointment was the duck was a bit on the chewy side but taste compensated for it. As the night was bitter cold, table near front of room was a bit chilly although the waiter moved a space heater near us to help. Should have just moved to a table near the back as the chill took away from the experience a bit. Will go back though."

My shortribs, while tender, were almost bone dry and missing that fatty internal juice that woos you when done right. The mashed potatoes underneath were not bad, just lame. This would be an excellent meal in a diner but not at Majolica."

  • "The evening featured a fixed price four course dinner with four options for each course. We made a decision from the jump not to duplicate any of our choices in order to try as many things as possible. Each of the eight choices we had were unbelievable! Our meal included oysters, smoked salmon (smoked in-house of course), grilled octopus, veal sweetbreads, duck, braised short ribs, a cheese tray, and a flourless chocolate cake with homemade salted caramel ice cream. The meal was one of the best we've ever had. Aside from the food, the service was stellar, and allowed guests to relax and enjoy each course without feeling rushed. Looking forward to returning soon. Thanks for a great evening out."
