  • "Despite requesting for seating in the vault and being seating in the regular dining area, the food was amazing. The seating was a bit close for my comfort but all in all, great dinner, dessert and atmosphere. The drinks are okay, nothing to brag about. "

  • "We took our son and his girlfriend, who have eaten at great restaurants all over the world (they live on Aspen and know good food!). They thought the food and service was excellent and atmosphere "charming". We had a great dinner. BTW, I had salmon and if had just a little kick to it-awesome!"

  • "I went to MAIN STREET GRILL on a blind date on a week night. I requested a quiet spot. The hostess not only provided that, but ensured that no one sat beside us! It was delightful. The Monica was lovely as usual and the avocado appetizer was also yummy. A totally enjoyable night! To boot, as she discretely indicated when learning this was a blind date, the hostess was especially caring and attentive. I would recommend this place to anyone at any time."

  • "This was our first trip to Main Street Grill. On the whole we liked it and the food was good but not quite up to our expectations based on reviews. My wife had a Southwestern Chicken Salad Sandwich with house made chips and I had the Reuben with French fries. My wife thought the chicken salad was good to very good but found the size of the chunks (chicken, celery, etc.) overly large. I thought it was bland but I may not have gotten much sauce in my bite. The Reuben was good. On the small side, it was a good lunch but seemed a bit overwhelmed by the sauerkraut. The home made chips were very good as were the fries. Altogether a nice lunch."

  • "I selected this restaurant for a lunch with a friend I hadn't seen in a long time, specifically because it is usually a quiet dining spot. When I entered, there were at least 3 tables of 10-12 (or more) patrons each and the noise level made normal conversation quite difficult. At least 10 minutes passed before we had to stop an employee and request a waitperson come to our table. We never received a bread basket and had to request additional napkins twice before they were delivered. Food was acceptable but nothing special. Prices were appropriate. I have eaten at this restaurant many times during the years it has been open, often for special occasions. Today's experience will make me re-think my dining options in the future."

  • "44 years of marriage and a relaxed dinner atmosphere was sought and found at Main Street Grill in downtown Round Rock, Texas. Easy listening live jazz, unique menu varieties and professional yet personable service. Our table was for two next to a window as requested. The food was delicious and our pallets were treated to multiple creative recipes with several textures and seasonings. Overall relaxed and memorable."

  • "Food was great - I had the Steak with gorgonzola cheese and it just melted in my mouth. Tthe dessert was seriously phenomenal (Bread Pudding made with Round Rock Donuts) need I say more? Definitely would recommend to anyone looking for a special occasion. Atmosphere is very cozy and intimate with live music on Saturday evening that made it a perfect night out."

  • "We've been coming here for a couple of years now and for us it's a great restaurant and close to home. The food is always delicious without being pretentious, the service attentive without being overbearing and the size is perfect for either having your dinner conversation or listening to the live music they have on most Friday's we've been there. I think if it were any larger it would lose some of its appeal, to us anyway. When we want to go out to dinner and we're not sure where or have differing tastes for the evening, choosing Main Street Grill is always met with agreement."

  • "I took my wife to Main Street grill for our anniversary and I just have to say that they made that evening very special for us! They did not know it was a special occasion for us but the service was so good and the food was very delicious, that it made that night one we both will remember. Thank you !"

  • "Found this restaurant on Yelp, while looking for a spot for a business dinner. Arrived a little early, around 6pm, with only one other party seated; however, the crowd came in by 8pm, reinforcing the favorable rating. Food was outstanding. Had the snapper (special of the day) - highly recommend it, with the sauce and sides providing outstanding, complementary flavor. Wait staff was very good as well, and the corner table provided perfect placement for good business discussion."

  • "Everything about the experience was just ok. Nothing bad happened, food was ok, service was ok. There just wasn't anything great about it. I guess my expectations were higher after I heard so any great things about his place. Again, just ok."

  • "Enjoyed being able to make our res through Open Table. They greeted us immediately and showed us to our table. Waitstaff was very pleasant and helpful. Food was very nice, especially the Sea Bass and Filet Elizabeth! It was so nice to be able to hear the entire conversation in a really great restaurant! We will go back every chance we get!"

  • "All the dishes were very good from the salad appetizers to the Banana Foster desert that was prepared and served at our table. It's been many years since we've been at a restaurant that serves Banana Foster- much less prepared at our table. Very nice touch. We dined there between 5:30 and 7P, so it was quiet. Live music was just starting as we were leaving."

  • "This place gets the whole experience right... The tables are nicely spaced out, the ambiance is terrific for business meals, casual dining, or a romantic getaway in their bank vault room. It also has a secluded dining area that especially caters to the private business dining experience. I have dined at Main Street Grille probably over 30 times and have never had even close to a bad meal/experience here."

  • "We went for a special occasion and had higher expectations on the quality of food bsaed on what they were charging. Probably one of the better restuarants in Round Rock but not the best in quality of fodd."

  • "We went on a Monday evening, so there were fewer people there which meant little noise and attentive service. I liked the low lighting. The menu had plenty to choose from. The food and service were great. I would definitely recommend this restaurant, though friends have told me that due to the open seating and small facility, it can get very noisy on a busy day. I think we went on a good day."

  • "We went to the Main Street Grill for Valentine's day dinner. We dined on the Valentine's day menu for $65 per person. The food was good overall, but nothing really "wowed" me or my husband. All the staff were very attentive and professional. The live music was perfect. The dinner was very nice but not worth the price. I really wish the food was better."

  • "Were surprised to be seated in the "Vault" (only table) when previously told someone else had reserved it a month before me(2 weeks). Very quiet, romantic but the visits by the sommelier to the wine rack on the wall were a little distracting. Waiter Ryan- very attentive, informative. Diablo Shrimp- fantastic as was the Shrimp bisque and my crispy salad. Maui Maui covered in a seafood cream sauce atop jalapeno risotto was large and scrumptious. My wife's Tenderloin looked good but was rare, not medium. Sent it back but still not quite done.Turtle Cheesecake great and the Chocolate Dream(my name) was a puff pastry topped with pecan covered ice cream and chocolate. Incredible. Had it previously! Good coffee. Made vault reservations for 2015!!"

  • "Whenever we have a special evening and want to stay local to Round Rock we go to the Main Street Grill. The food and service are always top notch. This time I put a note in my "Opentable" reservation that it we were celebrating my wife's birthday. They reserved the Vault for us. This resturant was originally a bank. They made a wine cellar and dining room out of the safe. The room is very nice and must be special requested. I didn't ask for the room but the fact that they read my note and took the effort to make our evening special are why we will return often."

  • "We celebrated my parents' 55th Wedding Anniversary with excellent food, attentive service and pleasant surroundings! Three of us ordered the Downtown Duo - steak and shrimp. Usually one of the two suffers for the other but in this case, each of our steaks were cooked to perfection, didn't even need the steak knives and the 3 huge shrimp were perfect! The 4th person ordered the Southwestern Pork Tenderloin and wouldn't share!!!! We had just enough room to each order a separate dessert - each were generous in size and delicious! Our reservation was early (5pm) and we enjoyed the restaurant to ourselves for awhile. But even as it started to fill, the atmosphere was still very pleasant and special. Definitely will return!!"

  • "We went on New Year's Eve for a multiple course dinner. The first couple of courses were excellent, but the main course and dessert fell flat and were very average. There were no wine pairings and the waiter and manager seemed confused by my asking. It was as if a regular restaurant was trying to be fancy and high class and ended up being just expensive mediocre food."

  • "We've been coming here for a couple of years now and have rarely had anything but a great meal and very good service. The food is always a quality offering. The Drunken Banker is to die for as an after dinner dessert/drink!"

  • "We had to ask for a waiter, as no one came after being seated about 5 minutes, and it's a small restaurant! Th live music was nice but WAY TOO LOUD! we could not have a conversation across a small 2 person table because of the music. both plates of food arrived luke warm at best and my partner sent his back to be reheated. my accompaniments were cold, I didn't eat them. I had written ahead about it being his birthday, which they made no mention or gave him a birthday dessert or anything."

  • "My wife and I have visited Main Street Grill a few times and everything about the evening is spectacular. The food is amazing, fantastic atmosphere, kind and attentive staff and a wide selection of food choices. In my opinion, Main Street Grill is one of the finest eating establishments for special occasions in the Round Rock area. May I suggest making reservations and requesting Ryan Wilcox to take care of you for the evening. Would and have recommended this place!"

  • "Reservations were made the day before we planned to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary. Upon arrival, we were seated promptly and graciously. Our questions were answered knowingly. The food, presented in a most attractive manner, was delicious living up to the anticipation the presentation implied. The ambiance was pleasant - soft lighting, tables appointed well, sound muted. Needless to say, we will continue to frequent Main Street Grill!"

  • "We love the relaxed feel of this place - like a comfortable dining room in a friends home. I definitely would return to try more dishes. Everything there is amazing. Everyone had the Downtown Duo and loved it. Service was well-timed and friendly."

  • "Pre-selected menu was well paired. I enjoyed every course and portion sizes were just right. I would definitely go back there to dine from their regular menu. Wait staff was very courteous and attentive. Only negative is that the tables are too close together."

  • "I had a seafood dish where the fish was fresh and well prepared. But, it lacked distinction and was sort of ho-hum, even though it was made of quality ingredients. Crème Brule for dessert was very good. The service was attentive but not sophisticated and therefore, boring. I overheard other tables being told about the specials for the night but we didn't hear them... So, even though my review is negative in nature, I still think this is a restaurant worth trying although, I probably won't go again."

  • "Love this small town feel especially during the Christmas Season. The downtown area is beautifully lite with small shopes on the square to visit with friends and loved ones. The Main Street Grill is a historic venue with a warm an inviting atmosphere. The food is plentiful and delicious. A must try if you have not visited this location. By the way, if you make a reservation early enoough you can dine in the vault/wine room. Cozy for that special occassion. I highly recommend."

  • "The food was very good to excellent. The wait staff was knowledgeable and helpful with both the food, cocktail and wine menus. The service was very good - prompt and attentive, friendly and familiar without constantly hovering. And my favorite Cabernet was on the wine list."

  • "Although it was Monday night, and few people were in the resturant the service and food were good. Presentation and value were also good. Wine list is small although had a few premiums selections. Atmosphere was more casual than upscale although was well suited to the clientele. I had the glazed salmon which was served with wedges of herbed polenta. Very well prepared and visually appealing. My guest ordered the gnocchi which was delecious as well as appealing. I would recommend this to any one looking for something a little more upscale to casual chain type restaurants. Had a personal feel and ambiance for restaurant so close to Ausin."
