  • "Went to Mahogany Prime Steak house for my son's birthday. Service was good but my steak was disappointing. I had the small filet which had good flavor but was tougher than I would have expected for the price. We recently ate at another older well known Omaha Steak House and had the filet which was much better and almost half the price."

  • "Me and the family went to mahogany for my now 13 year olds birthday and had, as always, another great meal. We've been going traditionally every year for her birthday and the staff and food continues to impress. If they have the tomahawk bison ribeye get it!"

  • "My steak and my girlfriends was just amazing! But know you're going in for a hefty cost! We got the specials and each steak was $60! Amazing, but expensive! Could be just me...but oh man that's a lot of money! The side items that you order were so-so. Good, but the mac and cheese, I've had better for sure, and for $10, and the restuarants caliber, I expected more there. Desert was wonderful as well! Overall it was very good, but the bill was $200. Just again, know what you're going in for. We personally went for something special, not an everyday. It has a very beautiful and romantic vibe :)"

  • "We took some family and friends out to help celebrate our 35 anniversary. There were 8 of us and we were seated in the Captains Room. What a wonderful treat for our celebration. The 4 appetizers we had were all amazing. Enjoyed several bottles of a good Cabernet wine with dinner after excellent martinis. Our steaks were cooked to perfection. Our sides were equally tasty and flavorful. We shared several desserts suggested by a very friendly and competent server. I can't imagine a nicer evening. Thank you to Open Table and Mahogany Prime for a perfect anniversary celebration"

  • "My wife and I have always loved the food at Mahogany. If anyone comes in town and wants a great dining experience and wants steak this is where we send them. However, the steak on this visit was a complete let down. The flavor was good, but it was tough and even a bit difficult to cut and chew. The au gratin potatoes were also cool and not hot. Hopefully if we return it will be back to normal."

  • "The ribeye was wonderful -- truly a melt in your mouth steak. Great steakhouse without feeling overly fussy and formal."

  • "One of the best steaks I've ever had! Just make sure to look at the menu before heading to the restaurant."

  • "Fantastic as always!!! Great food and terrific service!!"

  • "Don't interrupt the wait staff as they rattle off specials of the night. They are so consumed about spouting off the ingredients and preparation style that they don't listen to the customer. It appeared they had limited time to serve our table from which we had to call the waiter back for clarification or bringing sparkling versus still water."

  • "Very expensive. Service was less than adequate. Will not return."

  • "Our table was ready. Comfortable seating. Impecable service. Steaks done to perfection. Although we live in the Memorial Park neighborood, it was a great dining experience and worth the short trip west."

  • "The purpose of the dinner was to recognize the efforts of two of my employees and their spouses over the past year. It was the 1st time that we had eaten at Mahogany Prime. The atmosphere was nice and semi-private. There was a wide variety of drinks and appetizers. The choice of main courses were simplistic but very good with sides that complimented. Though we were full from the meal, it was hard the resist the appealing and tasteful deserts. The waiters and waitresses were attentive, polite and non-disruptive. Everyone in the party enjoyed the dinner and we would recommend."

  • "We went to Mahogany for the first time to celebrate our 45 year experience and we really enjoyed the experience. It was much more than a meal, it was a total dining experience!!"

  • "The food and service at Mahogany was exceptionable. the staff was attentive and fur filled your every need or request. the food was well cooked and seasoned. the desserts were rich and creamy. Not a good place for kids and is quite expensive. overall amazing, would definitely go again and recommend to others."

  • "Mahogany has always been the best steak house in Omaha, until now! This past visit the quality or our filets was somewhat dry and lacking in flavor. The holindaise on the asparagus seemed to be very bland and without any lemon flavor. We were definitely dissatisfied with this visit."

  • "Been here several times now. Food is always spot on. Tried the asparagus appetizer. It was delicious. Everything else was perfect too. Will be back for sure."

  • "As my wife and I spend a lot of time traveling the country, I am not easily impressed, this was one of those exceptions. Recommended by a local friend as we were celebrating my daughters 21st birthday, everything from the greeting at the front door to the promptness of service was A1. I am sorry to say I did not retain the name of our server but suffice it to say he was overly knowledgable of the menu, the wine choices and did a masterful job of being around but not in my space, a rare treat. I highly recommend if looking for a traditional steakhouse in the Omaha area, I will look for a reason to come back soon."

  • "I thought overall it was ok. There were aspects I liked, such as giving me a flower because it was our anniversary, and my husband's steak was delicious. However, some things weren't so great either. Someone was ALWAYS coming to our table for something. Whenever you get up someone comes to refold your napkin, or clean your table of crumbs, or completely replace your water glass when it's already full, or replace your bread with a new loaf even though you aren't done with your current one, in addition to coming to your table to ask how your food is or take your order. It was just a little much when you're trying to have an intimate dinner. Also, the lobster cargo that they claim is so delicious for $30, is definitely not worth it. "

  • "One of those premier steakhouses that gives you service that goes well above and beyond. Food was absolutely perfect!"

  • "We were in Omaha (traveled from Denver), celebrating a college graduation, and a friend of our daughter recommended this restaurant. It was most outstanding. The steaks were melt-in-your-mouth, the lobster was excellent, the wine was fabulous. We would absolutely recommend Mahogany to anyone who wants a special place for a special occasion."

  • "for the high prices for food and drink you would fully expect high quality food served by attentive waiters in a Romàntically dark atmosphere - and that is what you get. Nothing unexpected, save for an attendant refilling your water glass a little quicker than happened."

  • "Nice ambience with attentive service. Be sure to request seating in the main dining room, which is open and airy. There are side rooms for overflow setting which have no ambience."

  • "We chose Mahogany for dining on a Friday night. The food was good, the ribeye was amazing. Sides were good. For the money I am not sure I will return. I can't say anything was superb for paying top shelf prices. Maybe I am just spoiled from 360 at Harrahs, but the steak there was just as good and cheaper. Service was fantastic! If you have not tried Mahogany, it is worth a try and judge for yourself. "

  • "We loved the atmosphere and knowledgeable and attentive wait staff here. When our server saw that we were wearing black, she promptly replaced our white linen napkins with black ones so that we wouldn't get white lint on our clothes! I ordered the 8-oz. filet, cooked to a perfect medium rare, and my husband got salmon which he said was excellent and topped with a few grilled shrimp. We both had spinach salad with the fabulous bread that was brought to the table--hot, soft inside and crusty outside. Sides of glazed carrots, mushrooms (yummy but a little too salty) and asparagus were great as well, and large enough portions that we could have split a side instead of each getting one. All in all a great anniversary destination."

  • "One of a very few prime-grade steakhouses in Omaha, known for its steak. Mahogany is consistently first-class with excellent fare -- appetizers, steaks, sides. Ther service is very attentive. Try a martini, too!"

  • "I had the best steak of my life at Mahogany. It was cooked to perfection, and all the things that went with it added to the enjoyment. The service was excellent and the ambience was very good. I would definitely recommend this dining experience. "

  • "Calamari and Filet were perfect. The Asparagus, mushrooms, special potatoes were unbelievably good. Topped off with creme brûlée. Great meal! The service helped make the evening special. "

  • "To pricey for not that great of food. We would choose Sullivans over this place for a great steak. But everyone we encountered was nice."

  • "The food was amazing and wasn't able to put down 24oz plus the family sized sides Be sure the wallet is open and full. You pay for treatment like this. Well worth every penny"

  • "The environment, service and food were all exceptional. The pricing was too extreme, and did not justify the quality as presented. I have had meals in this town that rival the satisfaction of this meal at much less cost. Maybe it is a bragging right to say you can afford to go on a regular basis. A return trip will be in my distant future."

  • "I've been all over the world to many different great restaurants and this was the best steak I've even had. The only place that can compare was Morton's in Denver and it's really not even close. The service was excellent and the food was even better!!!"

  • "Everything was wonderful as usual. We don't come often, but several times a year. We always know that we can count on spectacular food and service."

  • "If you want a good Omaha steak place, this is it. I was given a gift certificate which only covered half of the bill, but that got my wife and I in the door of a place we would not ordinarily go. The steaks were excellent, I had the ribeye and there was not a single bit that was too fatty too eat. I really suggest the prosciuotto wrapped asparagus as an appetizer. It was very pricy, but the service was really fantastic as you would expect from a high end restaurant."

  • "Haute Quisine prices, for what's really just a steak dinner. Low lights and crumb rakes really are just masking that it's an un-imaginative steakhouse that's sewn it's emperors clothing out of super high prices. I had a shabby torn menu, I was seated next to a noisy service station, and I could see across the restaurant a flat screen with a basketball game on. My waiter was prompt and curteous, but showed no interest in the menu. I ate here four years ago, and I think it was all the same items. I understand his disinterest. The food was yummy! The steak hot and it was cooked perfectly! But for what I paid for two dinners, I felt like I could have eaten at the Outback and walked away with the same food experience. At a quarter the price."
