The food is amazing. I usually get the three taco dinner. You can mix and match which tacos you want. I recommend the Chorizo and the Chicken Tinga tacos, both melt in your mouth. You absolutely have to try the guacamole, which they make fresh right next to your table!
The atmosphere is usually very lively and can sometimes be a bit loud. This visit they had a mariachi band playing, which to be honest, was just a bit too loud and made it difficult to hear my friends at the table.

Great menu, lots of choices- and our food was incredible! Huge margarita menu (always a plus), and the margaritas were delicious! On this last visit, my only complaint would be that the restaurant was really warm because they had a huge party in one of the rooms. They did try to regulate the temperature but until that group left, it was really warm.
If you go, you must get the guacamole. It is the best guac I've had in the area especially since they can make it with habenaros (it is spicy!). They also specially made a chorizo burrito for two of us, which was amazing!
The staff was very pleasant and very accomodating! This last time I had a daily special - it was Walleye w/ a Chorizo type of pate on top with a red mole sauce - out of this world! My bf had the Carne Asada and it was great as always! The margaritas were perfect, I like mine on the rocks and not sweet tasting. Mago is not your typical Mexican restaurant, the interior is superbly decorated, the presentation of the food was that of a 5 star restaurant. Prices seemed really reasonable - really good steak, veggie and mashed potatoes - would have expected to pay more. Although we did go for lunch - don't know if that was a lunch price or not?
