In a word, our meal was fantastic. The shrimp and grits are the best our group has ever eaten. We also had the filet and encrusted flounder- also superb. As a starter, the egg roll was excellent and for dessert the pecan pie was also the best I have ever had (and we're southerners.) If you have to choose for dinner, choose Magnolia's.

My husband and I went there to celebrate our 9th wedding anniversary. We started with the Deep South Egg Roll. It had pieces of ham and collards in it, with this spicy sweet peach sauce. Yummy. For dinner, I ordered the special which was a blackened Sheephead fish with fried okra and caramelized cauliflower with a avocado sauce. It was mouth watering. My husband ordered the shellfish and grits with shrimp, scallops and lobster over creamy grits. He ate every last bite. We were so full by the end of the meal, we could not enjoy any of the desserts. We will go back for a special occasion.

The only issue we had related to service was to our getting seated. While we saw 3 tables that could have accommodated our party, we waited 15 minutes to get our table. It appeared as though the 3 young ladies seating people were more intent on talking with each other versus seating people. Everything went smoothly thereafter. Menu had a nice variety and we found something for everyone in our family. I enjoyed the mixed seafood over grits. I would recommend the restaurant .

The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming. The dining room and bar is a buzz with joyful people enjoying their dining experience. The wait staff is efficient and they take the time to explain the menu and answer any questions. The food was outstanding, I had the blackend cat fish which was moist and delicious. The desserts are also excellent.
