A word from Maggie's
Maggie's: a Carroll County tradition of hospitality and great food for over 36 years. Chef John Robinson has demonstrated his talents for over 32 of those years. He and his seasoned kitchen staff have consistently provided unique combinations of ecclectic fare, from simple pub snacks to the most sophisticated entree. His classic French style of preperation requires the time-tested standard of scratch cooking. Soups to sauces to desserts - all are prepared fresh in Maggie's kitchen daily. Not just great food but a pub of distinction. "A GREAT PLACE TO RELAX, MEET FRIENDS, DINE, AND UNWIND".Continued

Diner Reviews
  • "We've often found that when a restaurant serves large portions, the food is lackluster in flavor. Not so with Maggie's. The food was delicious and our server was pleasant and attentive. A definite must-try establishment for anyone heading to Westminster."

  • "My husband and I tried Maggie's on a Friday night for the first time last week. We made reservations for the restaurant side but decided to dine in the bar. The crowd was energetic and happy! Clearly most were locals...it had sort of a kind of a "Cheers" vibe. The service was fast-paced but the server politely took the time to answer questions on several of the dishes. The food arrived hot and nicely plated. We will definitely return!!!"

  • "Good, unobtrusive service; background noise was loud enough that we could talk with enthusiasm without being concerned. Good variety of food offerings. Food was great."

  • "We always have loved Maggie's onion soup and Reuben. We haven't found any competition that can match these specialties. They have a large dining room which is very airy compared with the original cozy room."

  • "Not a review per second but some general comments: 1. Parking is attrocious, not enough parking for the customer base, had to drive around building 2x before someone left and opened a space. 2.We were sat at a table by the kitchen, and also rught next to a large door that they allowed patrons to use as an alternate exit and also to go in and out to smoke. So, we were constantly subjected to cold air blowing right on us. My son didn't take off his coat until halfway thru dinner.3.The dining room we were sat in was packed and the noise level was loud to the point that it was hard to hear each other have a normal conversation at dinner.4.Our waitress was very good and very friendly, but she was being run ragged by the number of tables she had."

  • "It had been a while since my last visit - since I moved from the area. I decided to give it a try for a double birthday celebration. The food was OK - service was friendly, but slow. The glasses came and looked like they didn't get washed well - old lipstick and fingerprints still on the rims. I called ahead to tell them we were celebrating the birthday - and not that it is mandatory - but they didn't even comp one of the desserts for the birthday people. Very disappointing."

  • "The service was terrible. The waitress took her time addressing our table and we often had to ask more than once for things. My husband's meal was not as described in the menu. The 2 salads came out 20 minutes after the altogether bland cream of crab soups. The chicken Chesapeake was also terribly bland. The highlight of the meal was the vegetable medley. When we ordered dessert, it was delivered without its shell, in the hopes, I suppose, that we would not notice. It was promptly returned. For what they charge, one would expect a much better dining experience."

  • "Everything was nice except there was no reservation made. Fortunately there was room for us."

  • "Seven of us on a family outing had nice lunches. Local crab-- soups, quiche, salad, cakes a treat. Farmed salmon very nicely, simply, prepared--cant match wild Chinook in season, but then nothing can. Welcoming landlord & waiters."

  • "Made a reservation here before seeing a show at the nearby community college. Server was friendly and place was cute but the food was mediocre at best and a bit overpriced considering the location. A bit disappointing but served the purpose when taking a day trip in the country."

  • "We always enjoy going to Maggie's! The food is always cooked perfect and Stacey our waitress is the best."
