Maggies at State and AMothers Day BrunchFrench toast is very well done, and the savory chicken crepes were outstanding, perfect touch of tarragon. Excellent cappuccino, just request it with less milk than normal and it's a robust coffee.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMWe were treated very nicely...seateWe were treated very nicely...seated immediately (on Mother's Day). The owner, Mr. Maggie, came up to our table and schmuzed with us a bit. Our waiter was delightful and with good suggestions. Our egg dishes were all incredible,,,,as were the breads. My daughter's Italian panini was a bit strong in taste but her ceasar salad was excelllent. It was an A+ experience while being reasonabley priced and I, as the mother, was had a wonderful brunch experience!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMPerfectMaggie's is our favorite restaurant when visiting Santa Barbara. Ambiance is not matched anywhere in downtown Santa Barbara. Parking easily available; restaurant convenient
to all downtown venues such as Granada Theatre; Arlington Theater; Museums. Owners are charming and
gracious to all guests as are every staff member.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMWhat a Gift to Santa Barbara! What a gift to Santa Barbara is the marvelous transformation of the former dreary State & A into a beautiful beckoning destination. The chef is amazing and does a spectacular job.
Bravo4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMA newly remodeled facilityA newly remodeled facility and it is quite lovely! Many just a little overdone for Santa Barbara locals. The outdoor patio should be a real hit in the summer! Food was really excellent and the service and attention was terrific!4/11/2013 12:00:00 AMDinner at Maggie'sI had dinner with my wife here on a Friday night. Wasn't quite sure what to expect food-wise, but we were both pleasantly surprised by the finesse and quality of the food. I had the escargot and rib eye while my wife had the salmon sashimi and black mussels. All dishes were great. While the restaurant was loud, it was not overwhelming and it was nice that a fine dining-looking restaurant wasn't only at a whisper level. We will definitely be back.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMWe were looking for an optionWe were looking for an option for Easter brunch that was not set price and discovered Maggies. Great menu, every choice was delicious!3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMFantastic service!! GreatFantastic service!! Great food! Try the ginger martini... Unforgettable!3/25/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful atmosphere! CasualWonderful atmosphere! Casual dining yet very elegant. The outdoor patio is charming. Although it is on a busy corner, traffic didn't seem to be an issue at all. Our salad was very tasty, one order was perfect for two two share. The pork special was delicious. I love oxtail and enjoyed it, although it was smothered under a potato mixture that wasn't my favorite way to enjoy oxtail. Probably would not order it again because of that. Other tables had some excellent looking burgers being served. The soufflé with pistachio ice cream is incredible - OMG! calories but worth every one. The owners are really fabulous as is all the staff, EXCELLENT service.3/10/2013 12:00:00 AM
