The noise level, as typical, was outstandingly high. Food was delicious - especially mussels appetizer and and shrimp canneloni - and one of the good values in Nashville. consistently excellent.5/16/2013 12:00:00 AMSurprisedThis was a pleasant surprise as we had not dined at Magianno's in years. My wife and I took our granddaughter to an early pre-theater meal. Our very personable waiter, Dan, appeared and was able to answer our inquiries about the various dishes. He also suggested the wine which I had not tried previously and described it excellently.
The meal presentation was at one point a little rushed as they brought the entrées prior to my finishing a salad course. However this was compensated by the fact that my Veal Marsala, my granddaughters ravioli, and my wife's chicken were all prepared perfectly.
By granddaughters dessert selection was tiramisu. My previous experiences with this dish were marginal at best. This was superb. However, it was crazy busy. You would have thought that it was 7pm on a Friday night.
That being said, our table was ready for us, and the food was fabulous as always. Our server was obviously flustered - it seemed like he was dealing with 100 different things and we were only one of them. I think he did a fair job with all that he had on his plate, but it seemed like he mightve been asked to do to much.
I will eat here again - did I mention that the food was amazing? There were 10 people in my party so I was sure to make reservations in advance. We had to wait about 10 minutes before we were seated, which wasn't a huge deal. The only issue I had was that the dining area was very crowded. While I appreciate the restaurant's attempt to accommodate as many guests as possible, having tables back to back made it bit uncomfortable. Our chairs were essentially squished right next to one another and the neighboring table. Other than that, the food and the atmosphere was amazing! We chose family style dining due to our large group and we weren't the least bit disappointed.
