Maggiano's - King of PrussiaOne Great EveningMy Wife and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary and the food was OUTSTANDING! I made a reservation for 7pm, arrived at 6:40 and got sat instantly. The staff was very nice and our meals were super delicious and very filling. if you like mozzarella sticks get there fried mozzarella it is out of this world good! you get very large portions of everything you order and we are told it is all hand made in house from the pasta to the chocolate and caramel. Great place to celebrate anything from a nice dinner for 2 or a party of 10+. My husband and I both ordered the classic pastas, which came with an additional order to take home (added bonus!). I only gave three stars for service, as our waitress was a little too busy trying to chat to us about her kids to remember my daughter's milk (asked twice, finally received) or the extra bread we requested (asked twice, and although acknowledged, never received). The food was good, not excellent. The restaurant tries to cater traditional Italian dishes. They are good, but nothing special or new. The service was good, but slow. The wait staff were tryibng to do their best, but we had to wait our main course and desert for a long time. It was graduation weekend. The restaurant was filled with families celebrating their postgrrad children. I don't like the noise level. It was too loud. It was hard for me to have conversation. The food is excellent, the service is normally outstanding, and the prices are reasonable. I would recommend a reservation, especially on weekends. It is fun to sit on the balcony and watch all the goings on on the floor. Do not, however, come to this restaurant to have an intimate conversation. They forgot my salad but the waiter apologized profusely, offered to bring one and when I said it was O.K. not to because I had my food already he offered and followed thru on a free desert. We had a special occasion dinner to celebrate my daughter's birthday. We decided to order "family style," which, for a flat price per person, we picked different items from the appetizers, entrees and desserts. For appetizers, the adults loved the stuffed mushrooms; the kids preferred the marinara mozzarella which is made from large slabs of mozzarella fried and drizzled with marinara. Our selection of pastas (alfredo - light and delicious; Rigatoni "D" which we always get because it is always so delicious) and chicken and fish was fantastic. We drive 65miles one way just to eat there. We would eat there more often if there was one closer to us but I guess that's better for our waist lines. I'm 100% Italian heritage and I really like the sauce and all the items on the menu.
