Since it was a nice day we sat on the patio which was lovely. There is no view or anything since it's tucked away under the pavillions but it's still nice to people watch as they shop from that vantage point. The food was great, as always, and the service is terrific. It's a good spot to take the kids (my son is 3 years old). They give him crayons and a coloring sheet and they have the plastic cups with lids so he doesn't spill. Most importantly, as all parents know, the service is quick. You need to be in an out when you have little ones and Maggianos does it perfectly without making you feel rushed. The downtown location has an authentic Italian feel and an extensive menu. We were celebrating my wife's birthday and were ready to spend $200 on dinner and wine. We arrived before 6pm and were able to take advantage of the happy hour prices to save money on drinks and appetizers. We followed the recommendations of our waitress who was very helpful. We chose the classic Italian dinner combination that provided two great meals, that were too big to finish, plus two dinners to take home with us. The overall experience was very good and we spent less than $100, including tip, with dinners in our refrigerator for a few more nights. Very good food. The Chicken Picatta was done perfectly and the chicken breast was juicy and tender. The Spinach Salad is definitely worth a try. The Caesar Salad, not so much, unless you enjoy the taste of plain lettuce and a "whisper" of Caesar dressing. I asked for and did receive a small side bowl of dressing, which was just ok. The fresh baked bread is also very good. If you enjoy butter with your bread, be sure to request warmed/softened butter or you will spend several minutes just chasing the frozen chip of butter you tried to split from the 'pat'. Only complaint is the dishes (breaded, fried zucchini, potato soup, chicken parmesan) were saltier than they needed to be.
