The freshness of the product and the inventiveness of the monthly specials, in addition to the reasonable menu prices, make this restaurant our go-to place for Italian. I also enjoyed the staff's birthday greetings and birthday card sitting on our table this visit. The zucchini appetizer was tasty, and the special Chicken Florentine and our regular Rigatoni D were beautifully presented and served hot and yummy.
My only criticism is the persistent presentation of the entrees while we still are eating our appetizer or salad, even though we say when we order that we are not in any hurry. The food was outstanding. Two downsides; they wouldn't sit our party until everyone arrived, when every other restaurant at Kenwood Towne Center had no problems doing so, and the wait staff were friendly but relatively absent. Trying to track down a simple water refill was extremely challenging after our initial order was placed. Overall the ambiance was lovely and the noise level noisy enough to make us feel social without being so loud we couldn't discuss our book, so that was perfect. I was pleasantly surprised with the meal portions, especially with the complimentary meal to go! The more carbs the better! To make the experience even better, our waitress surprised us at the end of our meal with three cookies with pig-tail-shaped candles to wish us good luck! The ambience was very relaxing and quiet, with Michael Buble playing in the background. We had five guests and all were very satisfied with their meals. One guest was gluten free and was very well taken care of by a chef who understood his dietary needs. We also had two salads and two desserts - which were enormous portions!
