Maggiano's - ChicagoFood and FamilyEvery thing was great from start to finish. Made reservations, waited about 5 minutes to get a table. We had the best waiter named Bob. He was friendly, funny, and engaged the group in conversation. offering suggestion for dining. Customers sitting near us were friendly also. The food was wonderful. Chicken Marsala, Eggplant and Veal Parmesen, and Spaghetti were cooked to perfection. The dessert chocolate cake and apple pie very tasty. The food is absolutely terrific. This is the first time we have ever made a reservation and we wanted to avoid a long line and a long wait. Usually it takes about an hour wait without a reservation. Unfortunately, with our reservation, we still had to wait. We were seated about 30 minutes after our reservation time and didn't have our actual dinners for about 1 hour after our reservation time. Our reservation was already scheduled late after a special event, so we were very hungry by the time our food arrived. The staff did keep us well stocked with the delicious bread.. Again, the food was great. There was 10 of us and each person enjoyed the food (taste and portion size), atmosphere, and service. The complimentary take a classic pasta dish home if you order a classic pasta was an added treat.
I would recommend this Maggiano's to others. The only thing that I would say is that we had to wait a while for the valet to bring the car. I WILL DEFINATELY be dining here again in the future. The food was delicious and the potion size was abundantly satisfying. My entire dinner party was pleased, a few were a little dissatisfied with the the service the waiter was a bit slow with the service for our table. I agree, but I was understanding due to the overwhelming requests from other guests and it was a bit busy.

We picked the $39.95 dinner for two and had great 4 cheese ravioli and baked ziti! Fried cheese appetizer was to die for, and the hot apples for dessert with a scoop of vanilla was wonderful! This deal also gives you each a pasta dish to take home! We both took a portion of the lasagna (huge portion) and it was great! I added a little red pepper as I like my food a little spicey. Lots of left overs! Service was excellent!
