My husband and I recently celebrated our 30th anniversary at Maggiano's. The meal was so delicious we both were very excited to return this weekend and enjoy another evening of fine dining. If you are a seafood lover you must try the linguine di mare. Make sure you save room for dessert. My favorites are Nonna's toasted pound cake, caramelized bananas and the tiramisu. Considering the portion sizes this is a great deal. I also had a coupon for $20 off which I was able to use with the deal which was great. I only wish they would add some of the specialty pastas to the list of eligible entrees. The restaurant was very busy and we were served by more than one waiter but we never felt ignored. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Fried calimari was tender and delicious.
The Chopped Salad was really not chopped well. The dried Proscuito was definitely not similar than the older signature version,,,,,it appeared to be chunks of bacon.
The main courses seemed to be more than ample and very tasty. The take-home pasta dishes are a nice touch.
No dessert was ordered.

What's truly exceptional about Maggiano's is the value of what you get - when you buy a meal, you are also given a second meal to take home with you, gratis - free! We opted on this visit for a two dish meal that included an appetizer and a dessert, priced @ $40, that also granted us two free dishes to take home with us, in addition to the meals we ordered. No one else we know does this. Kitchen burned one of the dishes we ordered but the waiter kept us up to speed on the progress of our dish. Chef hand delivered our food and apologized in person. After dinner, he made us a dessert sampler plate that isn't on the menu and, again, hand delivered it with his apologies as well as providing the dessert complimentary. I've been in other restaurants where there were problems with the food but have never had this display of kindness/professionalism displayed. However, the CHEF personally came out to discuss the menu with us! He gave us suggestions and informed us of which options could be made with GLUTEN FREE pasta! Although not all the dishes could be made this way (because of the wheat in the suces), it was a relief to have these great options. Just be aware that their GF pasta is made with corn. I came here on a Saturday evening in celebration of my prom. Lunch at 11:30 was an excellent time on that day to be there, as we avoided the crowds at Mother's Day.
The waiter was very attentive, and had a sense of humor that pleased all.
The meal was delicious, as usual. I had stuffed manecotti (sp?) and my better half had gnocci.
I asked the waiter, in a fun way, if my wife and I could dance. He said, "why not start something?"

We were seated almost immediately upon arriving (had reservations) and greeted and given menus by our waitress quickly. Our waitress was busy but still attentive to us. There were families with small children, but the noise level is not a problem. The food is always excellent here, and the portions are big. We dined "Family Style" and love that we always have extras to take home. One of our entrees was incorrect, but our waitress quickly corrected this (we were originally given veal parmesan instead of veal marsala.) The options are many, including some for vegetarians, and the service is attentive and prompt. This time we were just two but we selected the menu for two and still had plenty to take home. Plus, when you order a pasta, you can have another to take home at no charge. What a deal!
The addition of craft cocktails is also fun for those of us who like that sort of thing vs. a glass of wine.
