Maggiano's - BridgewaterI love Maggianos!This is one of my favorite restaurants out there and I have a great time every single time I visit them.

2 parents sat at a table nearby to help when needed. The food & atmosphere was perfect.
The waitresses that served both the girls & adult tables worked together & made us all feel

I got converted when I had my first taste at Maggiano's. For a chain, I am really impressed with the quality of the food, service and feel of the restaurant. Reservations are best, especially on weekends, holidays, and at the height of dinner hour. The bar is great and there is a patio for nice weather. We love it here! The classic dishes are the best, especially the lasagna, and you get to take another portion home with you! Such a great deal. The only advice I'd give is to stay away from the stuffed mushrooms. Those are not their best dish. The choices were Excellent. There was plenty of food. I have been to another Maggiano's in Hackensack And was a little apprehensive because the food was not really great. This MAGGIANO's chef was excellent In Bridgewater. Each course was brought out in a timely manner and was delicious. We had an elegant sufficiency of food from start to finish. Our server was great and very nice. The appetizer were good, the main course was excellent, and dessert was amazing. I would go back again with a group, great experience and loved the food. We alerted a staff member to this problem and we became the focal point for 3 separate employees. Our host came over, apologized, the gm came by with bread, apologies and a discount, & I know she sent us their star waitstaffer because our service from there on out was superlative. The food itself is mediocre, but inoffensive. Full service bar and decent wait staff. The service was spot on no complaints there, very attentive to details checking up on us regularly on our dining experience. As for the food we decided to go with the Classic family style menu since we had a party of 6. For starters we ordered the panko fried zucchini & the mussels marina and Italian salad. The mussels marina won the first round. For entrees we ordered the gnocchi with sausages, Rigatoni D, eggplant Parmesan & the chicken piccata. Of the 4 dishes 3 were spot on with the exception of the gnocchi which lacked in flavor & seasoning. For dessert we ordered the Profiteroles & the apple crostada. She had gluten-free pasta with clam sauce and thoroughly enjoyed it. I had eggplant parmesan (taking home "mom's lasagna) — an incredible deal for $13.95. We both enjoyed our food, enjoyed our table. The service was good (not excellent), the server very pleasant. The noise level, however, made it very difficult for the two of us to hear one another. The waiters can explain about your entree selection, and will also recommend specials. The chopped salad is superb...it's a must before your entree! The specials are of great value. Maggiano's wants their clients to return. The portions are generous. The additional take home complimentary entree is added bonus if you order the "Classic". So when we where deciding where to go to dinner for our anniversary it was a no brainer. We live in Mercer County and made an hour drive just to enjoy the wonderful atmosphere and delicious food. Our waitress Carol was great, she was knowledgeable about the specials and she made our night with her charisma. My husband had the Sirloin Piazziola from the daily specials and raved about how great it was. I stuck with my favorite Gnochi's with Vodka Sauce in which I substituted Grilled Chicken for the Italian Sausage. We will definetly come back again. The online reservations were easy and convenient, and they followed up to confirm. Our table was ready at the prescribed time. We had one person with several food allergies, and that was handled professionally by the chef. We ate family style, and everything came out all at once, and was hot and delicious! Everything was handled well, including my credit card not authenticating because of the change of address. The entire staff was obviously well trained, and you felt they were dedicated to you having a pleasurable meal.

Food is generally quite good, but NOT superb. Ambiance is too crowded and noisy for intimate dining, but good for birthday-type parties where noise IS expected and listening to smart conversation is not. In short; It is what it is.
